Jehovah's Witnesses coming to their house

As a person who grow up rich and is now poor, Jehovah Witnessess is one of thing that stuck as a thing I hate the most.

Tell them you’re an ex witness. They’re not allowed to talk to you and will blacklist your house in the future

u/Big_Goblin69 5h ago
That's what I did last year, I couldn't take it anymore with their knocking and "do you have a minute to talk about blah blah blah..."

I tell them straight off that I won't listen to them because they don't vote. To me that means you're countenancing injustice on earth because you believe it will be remedied in heaven.

u/Big_Goblin69 5h ago
Because they just pull up and act like YOU'RE the bad guy because you don't wanna talk to them

I might be genuinely weird but I actually really love them coming by. Or maybe it's the mormons? Whichever the church of latter day saints are. Idk what the proper name is but I have so much fun talking with them about life n stuff.
Not gonna join their religion but if they wanna come up and talk to me I'll love to have a covo about stuff.

LDS is Mormon. They are generally really pleasant people even if they know you aren’t going to convert.

That's mormons, and you have a good point, it's at least interesting to speak to them, I've never been a fan of organized religion in general, but I don't dislike the people because of their religion, I really just dislike the stuff that their religion does

Same. The institution might not be for me but the folks are still people.
I also love talking with the people who set up stands about various causes. Wonderful to hear new perspectives on life and find out things about the world, admittedly most of the time it's unpleasant things but still.

u/Big_Goblin69 2h ago
Exactly, the people are, for the most part, average people who just want to speak their minds about topics and it's just interesting to hear their perspectives

u/Khitch20 1h ago
Yeah! And it's great to make new pals, even if it's only for a short time. 😁

I honestly do have to agree but for the wrong reasons. While they are rather pleasant, I get a weird sense of joy that is like no matter how bad my life is, I’m not going door to door talking about Jesus to people who don’t care.
My biggest issue is I may not have the time so I don’t answer the door but the person at the door ends up being something I would want. Like the other day my house got a free power washing cause someone in the neighborhood had some lawsuit with the local government and a major tech company. If I didn’t answer I would have not gotten that. But many times I just don’t answer the door.

I’d almost argue that no one hates poor people more than poor people

While poor people see poorer people as competing wage dumpers…
Haven’t expected a 4 piece grid to reveal the most inner workings of society3

Didn't see your comment before replying as well - here's my comment elsewhere:
Poor People. Rich and Poor alike hate Poor people.
Its why the system works. If I have $10 more than the guy next door to me, then he's not working hard enough, he's a waste of society, he's the problem.
Until the vast majority of the population realizes that whether you make $30k a year or $250k a year, you aren't on opposing teams of the "Rich vs. poor" argument, it will always be this way.

the middle class

When I was first taught about politics, it was politely explained:
The Republicans take from the Middle Class and give to the Rich.
The Democrats take from the Middle Class and give to the Poor.
We are the Middle Class. Hate them both.

General Motors. Rich people buy better brands, poor people despise the crappy offerings the brands offer but have to settle on.

Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:
Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.
Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.
Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.
Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?
Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ
