Own an AUG, roomate has several flavours of AK's. Browsed for a while, stumbled on the DA Freya R15 Skeletonised. Was like £259, so bought it as an impulse. Wasn't sure about the PDW stock, but it seems easy enough to replace with a buffer tube after taking it apart.

Tested it on 7.4, then on an 11.1. Snappy. Although spring had to be changed because it was shooting over 315fps on .32 bb's. Kinda neat though.

Internals are all stock as delivered, has a Vector Optics LVPO on top and a MLOK grip on the handguard. Bottom rail of the handguard is all MLOK with picatinny running across the whole top of the rifle.

Honestly thought it would be tackier given the red accents but it looks much nicer than I anticipated. Think I'm gonna replace the pistol grip and stock. Fortunately, the stock is rear wired so it's a simple process.

I wanted to do something different from the British clone while still having quality accessories. I love the result.

Painted my VSR10 in a similar style and decided to do my mk23 ahead of the weekend. Would say it's not turned out too bad, just waiting for it to dry now and going to lacquer it up. Learned a lot during the VSR job about painting - took me 3 sessions to get it looking the way I wanted.

If you want a full write up, I'll give it, but long story short, free handed on and used some camo netting as a stencil to paint the grid patterns through.

FOSCO paint used in order of coverage:

Black

DDR Green (the main green)

Flecktarn Brown

Mud brown (arguably not needed)

NATO green (I used this very sparingly, tbh I'm wondering if it's even worth using)

Mornin, I had my first ever game at skirmish in Wycombe at the weekend and it was great, even if my legs are still in agony lmao.

I did realise that the mags weren’t feeding very good tho and wanted to ask if anyone knew if they allow you to use personal mags in their rentals and if yes if I should get mid or high cap mags?

I would really like to start playing airsoft as I think it’s a great thing to spend time doing ajd it keeps me busy, but I am only 14. This makes it quite an issue when trying to get onto fields and especially with getting my own kit. Also not helping is that I haven’t been able to find a place in the East Midlands that allow people of my age. I went airsofting as a rental once 3 ish years ago and love it but I’m not sure if it is too much of a commitment, and if not I don’t know where to start? Any advice would be much appreciated!

he wants £170 for it, is this a good deal?

Amped Custom Affordable Series - Delta Armory x Back Draft M4 KeyMod 10" Charlie | Half Tan & Black

I know many people will say "save up and get a MTW" but i simply cant wait and ive heard good things about this gun and its also Amped Airsoft so i assume its quality. Just looking for some advice

Here's my DIY ghillie top and rifle wrap that I've put together. Ingredients:

Viper sniper cape

Camo rifle wrap tape

Old camo shirt off vinted

Raffia from eBay

Old cans of green/black spray paint

I wrapped the rifle first then sprayed it and the cape slightly darker. This is because the 3D elements would create a shadow, so the underlayer needs to be darker.

Then I cut the shirt into strips and squares. I cut herringbone slots into the strips so that they will fold irregularly when attached. The squares will become leaves, so I cut a slot into two diametrically opposing corners, which will have a similar effect.

Then I tea-stained the shirt bits and raffia and dried them. This takes the 'shine' off it all and makes them blend a bit better. It also adds a little bit more stiffness so it'll hold its shape.

I zip-tied all the leaves and strips onto the cape itself, getting as good coverage as I could.

Finally I cut the bottom foot or so off the cape and used it to make a removable face covering for the front of the hood.

I am going to be playing actively and moving around a lot, so it's really important to me that the rig is light and breathable. I won't be lying down in a bush, so I don't mind having less-camouflaged legs.

Of course I will add plenty of field veg when I get to a site on the day, but this is a great starting point for about £70!

Recently purchased the jaeger impact grenade, the model with the three separate blanks. I was a pretty avid mk5 user, and whilst being able to throw them overhead in games was great, £3 per throw had become a bit of a consideration at every doorway I wanted to lob them through.

Initial price of the Jaeger felt steep, but not for lacking of quality. It really is a great looking and feeling hunk of metal.

For anyone considering purchasing a BFG or even the jaeger impact I’d strongly recommend. For sure different uses for either, but having the bfg option to lob around corners without gritting my teeth at throwing the cost of a black coffee around the corner has been great for game play.

Nice example in the video, little lob in, room clear from pesky chap who’d been pinging my team from inside.
