I’m so happy to finished the ultimate alien hunters!

Wow. Spotted this guy at Target recently. I'm very out of the loop on Marvel Legends stuff, and X-Men 97' releases. Was blown away when I spotted this Monster. Also pictured next to my Sealed/New, 1997 Toybiz Original figure.

In 5 months they completely overhauled THE ENTIRE figure the entire sculpt proportions are all different eben the knees are a MUCH MUCH MUCH better sculpt when bent

That last picture is the Tick action figure I’ve had since I was 5 years old.

I can’t even express how happy I am that this figure exists.

Honestly I think they look a lot better here than in the Promo shots. I’m disappointed it’s TOTK again so soon after Figma did them but I’ll definitely still be getting them since I’m a huge Zelda fan.

I don't really post much here. Perhaps the occasional image of the rare find or cool discovery. However, today felt different. Yesterday I learned that NECA would no longer be making TMNT figures, and Mattel would be picking up the license.

During the pandemic, I picked up collecting as a way to stay sane, and as a way to give myself something to look forward to. Something to work for. It became quite the hobby! I absolutely adored TMNT and the live action movie series line really made me happy to start collecting. Finding one after months of trying felt so rewarding, and my display area kept growing and growing.

Eventually I even put in a glass display case to keep my findings safe and to show off my collection.

This has very much become a part of me over the last few years. Looking in at my growing collection daily and reliving my childhood (I'm in my 40's now). Friends and family even began to admire them. It was a wonderful feeling.

Sadly, that feels like it is all coming to an end.

While I also collect Marvel Legends, the NECA TMNT figures were my real joy. My passion was really only for them. I'm feeling down that this part of me, this journey, is coming to such an abrupt end. Like a piece of my childhood is finally fading away as it was always destined to.

I just wanted to share these feelings in case anyone else was feeling them to.

Was so impressed with the Rayquaza I picked up earlier that I went back to Target and scooped up the Mewtwo.

Again, for the price for $20, these figures are fantastic on display and I love the scale

aesthetics: 52toys did a pretty amazing job capturing the likeness of Ryu from sf6. The hobo look is not my favorite, but doesn't take away from how good this actually looks in hand. Yes, the torso is shiny for whatever reason. I top coated only the torso after posing it for photos (see last photo). This is true 1/12 scale, but the head is on the small side even comparing against in game artwork. The head sculpt in person is better than their promo image imo.

articulation: This is very much on par with Storm Arena. The shoulders on a long ball peg going into the torso with a cap for the butterfly. It allows very natural shoulder movement when you punch forward where the shoulder raises up, not much range going backwards though. Better looking elbows and knees than Jada and Storm Arena. Also, probably because the dude is topless, the mule kick from this guy looks the best out of the three. Most of the joints are smooth. The only issue that's not really an issue is that the thigh has a slight play in the most neutral pose, but once you rotate it it is fine.

accessories: got to give 52toys a lot of credit here. way better accessories than either jada or SA.

verdict: thanks to Jada, we now have Storm Arena and 52toys making these at a lower price point in a scale that most of us collects. I would highly recommend this guy, not just SF fans. Now please go make a SF5 Ryu!!

This is a massive want. I really hope they have the license to do Ren and Stimpy.
