I was away from home for a couple days, during this time I left it plugged in, probably a bad idea but I'm not very experienced with this stuff. Also not the first time I've done this.

When I got back it wouldn't turn on and didn't show the charging light indicator.

I tried resetting the battery with the hole on the back, which didn't work. Tried holding down the power button, didn't work.

Any ideas? Should I take it to a shop to fix it? Is it completely broken?

Got 2 Nitro VG2 monitors. I'm trying to get the VESA screws into the screw holes on the backs of the montitors. On BOTH, the bottom screws are going in, but only if I push the plastic cover in to get the screw to fit. on the top, they're not even close. is the problem the plasic keeps the screw from reaching the threading, or are the upper VESA screw holes a completely different size?

And these are not for mounting on any arm, they're Lenovo VESA mounts for PC's, so they have standard screws, which work on other acers, benq, and viewsonic monitors.

ACER ASPIRE LITE 15.6 (AL15-43P)

The computer was running fine yesterday now today it js shut down and wont turn on.. im charging it rn.. (im seeing a light)

Just what I asked in the title. It said on the acer site the certificate keys were going coming July 16th. I have never got any kind of update at all regarding any KEK keys in the update or otherwise. My bios is updated to v1.13 but I still don't have any kind of an update. Just wondering if anybody here with the same laptop got their certificate update and I am left in the dust or what.

I purchased aspire a715-79g on 20 july 2026 and I found 2 major firmware issues as follows:

1. The Control Center app takes at least +2 minutes to start after turning the laptop on. Due to this keyboard backlight, fan settings are not accessible for the first 2-3 minutes.

2. When the lid is closed or when the laptop automatically goes to sleep mode, it should wake up within a second once the lid is opened or a key is pressed. But it takes at least 15 seconds even if multiple keys are pressed. Ideally, any laptop in the world turns the screen on within a second once the lid is opened or any key press

hello everyone! this is my first time posting and asking for help on reddit. a few months ago i updated my nvidia driver on my predator helios neo 18 gaming laptop, and it freezed after. i was okay well i will restart my laptop and it'll probably okay now. it was okay. but then later i had to update my windows too, it also freezed my laptop (this freezing only was in the monitor, imean i still could hear that its working inside, only the screen froze), i restarted again, it was okay after a few times. BUT THEN after months i still came across this problem, chatgpt said that the problem is with nvidia, so i went to the blue screen, pressed on restart and pressed f5 for safe mode, deleted nvidia driver, then downloaded it again from the website. i had to do this a few times, i mean in time, like in a month maybe twice. sometimes after deleting nvidia and tried to restart again (it was suggested from chatgpt) it all froze again. last time i did this it worked fine, until now, yesterday night my laptop wanted me to update windows, i didnt want to do it, but there was no option for shut down without updating. now its july 22nd and its not working again, it freezes even tho it said that it deleted the latest windows update. my technician said that some of my programmes maybe blocking it, because it doesnt have a win license, after he said maybe my laptop needs a complete restart. i dont really wanna do it, because i have so many things here and its a chore for me signing in every place and redownloading every app.

has anyone had these issues before? im so exhausted. my last laptop was a pos and i cried many times using that for years. now i cry because this expensive laptop is on my nerves again. someone pls help :(

Hello, i've been having an annoying issue with my Acer Aspire Lite 14, and i reached out here because i tried various ways to solve it but nothing works

It crashes randomly in two ways:

While gaming, the screen turns black and i get this loud static sound, but the hardware like fans or leds still work.

When i am doing might tasks, it just throws a error code and shuts down.

I checked logs with an application, and it points to kernel and wifi errors

I have seen that this error happens in every pc of this model

Has anyone seen something like this??

I'm from India and I own an Acer Aspire Lite AL15G-52.

Unfortunately, my original LiteON PA-1121-76 (20V ⎓ 6A, 120W) adapter was damaged due to a voltage surge. Thankfully, the laptop itself is working perfectly.

The problem is that I'm unable to find the exact replacement. Most websites list this model with a 45W or 65W charger, while my original adapter and the sticker on the bottom of my laptop clearly say 20V 6A (120W).

I have already contacted Acer Support. They confirmed that the issue is only with the adapter and asked me to contact the sales team for a replacement.

1. Has anyone with the same model faced this issue?

2. Which charger are you using?

3. Were you able to buy the original 120W adapter?

4. Is a USB-C PD charger a good long-term alternative?

Hi Reddit. I have a Acer Nitro V16 AN515-41 and I click the X on the top right of the black orange prompt in the middle of the screen and it doesn’t go away and my nitrogen’s doesn’t work. I deleted and reinstalled it and I couldn’t switch between Quiet, Balanced, Performance and Turbo. I clicked the “i” and that brought the un-exit-able blank prompt. This is after reinstalling NitroSense. Any help would be appreciated😊

Hello Folks, so my ACER aspire 7 A715-76G series laptops camera suddenly stopped working with error code: 0xA00F4240. And I have tried multiple things to get it back on but no luck, please help me with this thing.

Things i have tried:

1. Uninstalled the driver and restarted the laptop
2. Checked the BIOS setting for integrated camera option (Didn't found it and since it is showing in setting that means its enable)
3. Tried with the repair and reset camera feature on the settings camera panel.
4. Checked the fn + f10 and other buttons too if it is is closed or not.

If you guys know anything help me out or it's an hardware issue.

I messed up.
I've got a crummy 2in1 tablet thing that I've been trying to install Linux on for some time now. I finally got it to take (gotta boot through the micro-USB) and began installing Arch for the first time (wasn't overwhelming, I'm familiar with Linux at this point).
I ended up messing it up post-install with some package repo silliness that prevented booting, no big deal and went to just redo the install.
Then fastboot got enabled in the BIOS. Now the system doesn't have a valid OS to load into, and refuses to load into the BIOS. When booting, it simply gets stuck on the 'Acer' boot screen. The only response I can get from it is that booting while holding both volume buttons gets me to a screen that clearly appears to be the BIOS with something about failing to find a file to flash- That's the desired path for me at the moment as I imagine flashing the BIOS would reset it.
The only other option I see myself is waiting for the device to fully discharge its battery and hoping that resets the BIOS. I have no idea how long this will take as when the battery gets low the device goes into a 'critical battery' mode and refuses to do anything but briefly turn on the screen to display that message.

The notebook is an Acer Switch One 10, the IDs n15p2 and N16P6 are both used in reference to it although the latter seems to be correct (the first is for the kb dock I believe). It has 32GB of eMMC storage (so I can't just disconnect it). I've managed to find extremely little information on the device online, most of the Acer help/driver pages seem to be dead?

I apologize for not having more info on the device, to the best of my ability I cannot find an SNID or similar on it.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I have the acer nitro An515-52 and recently the chargers being weird. like when i run the laptops its fine and stuff but when i run a game, it connects and disconnects n stuff and the battery eventually decreases. also the battery does have a small tear near the brick but its been there for months atp and it worked fine until now. also the part where its a bit torn does get hot during this.

Another problem w this was the fact that, when i shut down my laptop, it wouldnt turn on at all unless i restarted it w the pin hole (basically battery reset).

is there any way i can run the games without the problem without buying a new charger.

I recently bought ANV15-52-58ZA and when i checked internet it says it does but says it has 57Wh battery. But when I did battery report on cmd it said 76Wh battery and when I searched it said 76Wh ones don't have 2ssd slots. I have warranty seal so don't want to pre-emptively break it but is there any way to know how many ssd slots without opening the laptop?

I have an Acer Aspire AL15‑41P laptop, and it doesn’t have a LAN port. My new online job requires my main device to connect to the internet through LAN instead of Wi‑Fi. As a workaround, I bought a USB‑to‑Ethernet adapter, hoping it would be plug‑and‑play. When I used it, both the adapter and the router’s LAN light indicators turned on, showing that the adapter was working, but there was still no internet connection. I went to my laptop’s Control Panel → Network and Internet → Change adapter settings and saw only Wi‑Fi (Realtek 8852BE Wireless LAN Wi‑Fi) installed. I checked the Acer support website for an Ethernet driver (https://www.acer.com/au-en/support/product-support/Aspire_AL15-41P/downloads), but nothing was available.

Is there any workaround for this? Your answers will be appreciated.

One of my laptops is an Acer PHN16-72. The previous owner took it to a service center for an expensive thermal interface replacement.

Recently, I removed the bottom cover to clean out some dust and noticed that the heads of the screws securing the cooling system heatsink are badly stripped. I think they will only survive being unscrewed one more time. The technician who serviced it before must have used the wrong tools.

Can anyone tell me the exact type and size of the screws used for the heatsink on the Acer PHN16-72 (A, B, F on the screenshot)? It should be longer than m2 x 4 mm.

I want to order replacements in advance, preferably titanium ones with a Torx head. Thanks.

Помогите мне я и v17.1 пробовал если что intel slim и v15 проблема чуть чуть решилась на вентой но через несколько минут опять все неработало нечего если что комменты типо тебе винды не хватит отвечу хочу приключения на пятую точку нечего мне делать в винде я уже и арч скачивал да и что угодно ставлю именно fydeOS потому что Дизайн офигеть красивый а я такое люблю кста кому пофиг ставьте intel legacy но я хочу свежую версию Если еще что то надо спрашивайте и у кого также?

Hi guys. I’m Ginger I’m an artist and drawing a comic. May ik if I can buy a Bluetooth stylus to connect my laptop and use it to draw? The original stylus while can be still used I believe the plastic cap/ protective cap broke when drawing it and the tip was pretty unsteady now. May ik if there are other solutions? I also own an iPad thought I’m not sure if there’s a system where the iPad can mirror from the laptop to draw. Pls let me know 🙏🙏🙏
