Hey everyone, I am pleased to announce that r/AVexchange now has a feedback bot up and running!
The bot’s name is u/AVexchangeBot and has the following features:
A user can get trade feedback with the following process:
Note, this document says the word "trade" a lot but that means, trading, purchasing, or selling.
Users A and B complete their trades following all of the sub rules. (It does not matter who A and B are. Either one could be the person making the post, and the other someone commenting on the post).
Once the trade is complete, User A makes a top level comment (new comment) on the original trade post tagging both the user they traded with and u/AVexchangeBot.
User B replies to that comment with their feedback.
u/AVexchangeBot picks up the interaction and gives credit to both users, changing their flair accordingly and leaves a comment indicating as such.
If User A messes up their top level comment, u/AVexchangeBot will do its best to notify User A.
There are automatic checks in the code to detect anyone trying to cheat the system. If anyone is found trying to circumvent the system, they will be issued a permanent ban.
If you engaged in a trade with someone without starting off discussion in either one of your posts or theirs, please tag the bot in the most recent post from either you or your trade partner to engage for feedback. The bot required that the OP of the post it is being tagged in is either you or your trade partner.
DO NOT DELETE POSTS otherwise you will NOT be able to use that post to confirm a trade.
Using this link, you can send a message to u/AVexchangeBot, asking for the feedback of any given user. It will tell you the following:
The number of trades that person has done
The people they have traded with
A link to the thread for each successful trade
Please feel free to direct any technical questions to the us, the moderators using modmail, if you do not know how to use modmail, please click this link.
If you notice any odd behavior from the bot, please let us know!
Flair was only backfilled for people who used the old feedback threads listed here, here, and here. If you never left a comment in these threads, or if you were never tagged in these threads, you did not get feedback backfilled.
The scraping process was automated. This means that it was about 95% accurate. Some people might have a few more or fewer trades in their flair than they expect. Please do not request an adjustment unless you can prove that the difference between your flair and what you expect is > 10.
Yes! You can follow the process detailed above to credit yourself for any trade you did not already get credit for. If the transaction happened > 6 months ago, you're out of luck though, due to Reddit limitations.
As mentioned above, we do need them to confirm the trade for the trade to be confirmed. They will get a notification when you tag them so if you encourage them to reply in the comment you tagged them in, hopefully they will. Otherwise, if it's been a few days without a response, PM them a link to the comment and directly ask them to reply.

In case you're not aware, Reddit has replaced DMs with Chat and archived all DMs at the end of last month. At least for now, this is a step backwards because by default chat messages can be deleted unlike DMs. This allows scammers an easier pathway as they can delete their messages from both sides easily. Fortunately, the Reddit admins have released the persistent messaging feature.
You must be sure to enable it under the chat settings for EVERY CHAT relating to /r/avexchange. Reddit admins indicated they aren't planning on enabling it by default but are potentially considering an account-wide option you can enable. Until that option is available you must remember to enable it for every chat. If not, you should periodically screenshot the entire chat history in case the other user deletes anything. Within the direct chat you will need to open the settings and enable the toggle shown below.
Once enabled there will be a notice in the chat and all persistent messages will include the infinity icon. Only the user who enabled the feature can turn it off but there will be a similar notice in the chat.

My excellent condition IE600s are looking for a new home.
After 4 years of being the best IEMs I could ask for, my changing listening environment (I’m now at a desk all day) means they don’t get the time they deserve.
I’m the original owner, purchased from Audio46 in 2022. Despite the long-term use, they’re in excellent condition. They have never been replaced by Sennheiser, and all connections are in great shape.
Included is all of the original packaging, unused eartips, stock cables, pouch, etc… also included are two Meze silver plated MMCX cables and MMCX to Sennheiser adapter. I also have a heavy duty copper Sennheiser cable from Ali that I’d toss in for $20.

Good afternoon all, doing some (extremely late) spring cleaning and have a WiiM Amp Ultra im looking to move. Fantastic little device but it’s really mostly superfluous in my setup (although the screen is fantastic and a nice touch)
Really hasn’t been used much, firmware is up to date and remote and all is included. I believe I have the box still but I’ll have to double check.

Located in Nashville! Cash can go either way also. There is a bit of wear on the pads(rest is in great condition), so depending on trade i dont mind ordering a brand new set alongside the trade also.
Had a pair of HD800s, and switched as i wanted something warmer; but what killed me was that i need to be able to hear around me a bit more and this muffles that. I'd call them "semi-open" rather than open or closed. figured i never tried the whole tube thing with the hd800s so i wanted to give that a try! Let me know what ya got!

Looking to sell my Victrola Stream Onyx Sonos Turntable VPT-2000-BLK. I am the original owner, and the turntable is in great functional condition with no cosmetic flaws. Comes with its original dust cover, power cord, mat, and two cartridges (AT-VM95E & Ortofon OM 5E) with their own headshells. Selling because I wanted to move away from wireless and into consistent wired, but this sounds fantastic with a stereo pair of Sonos Era 100s.
Please note that in the video, the turntable is using a different cartridge and mat that will not be included.

Location: Charlottesville, VA (22911). Due to the weight of the box, local pickup is strongly preferred. I do travel for work in the DMV, so that may help with the pickup. Shipping is also available at the expense of the buyer (I would guess $35).
