I'm seeking some guidance on barrel to upper fitment.

I've already decided I'm using a bcm barrel & bolt but I'd like to have my receiver set matching, though I'm unsure of what could have mating issues. Geissele and Wilson combat have been two I've considered from recommendations of a friend. Does anyone have some knowledge & experience with using bcm parts in a different manufacturer upper receiver? Any help is much appreciated!

Been looking for a SBR for a long time. I am left handed so was holding out and trying to find the right platform with full ambi controls. Finally caved and bought the SOLGW mk1 and decided the ambi controls were less important. Below is what I added to it.

- Aimpoint micro T-2
- Scalarworks LEAP/01 1.93” height
- Meprolight FUBS (slightly too short for my Leap/01 + T-2 setup to lower 1/3 cowitness. This is after trying the -Magpul MBUS pro sights that were too short. Happy the Scalarworks Peak/02 folding iron sights that are made for this combo are never in stock otherwise I’d be $600 into backup iron sights)
- LinkCurve foregrip fore grip
- Blue Force Gear padded vickers sling with Magpull QD mounts
- Lancer System hybrid gen 2 magazine
- Huxwerx flow 556 k silencer
- Streamlight ProTac Rail mount HL-X pro flashlight
- NeoMag Sentry Strap (not shown)
- Cole-TAC Corset suppressor cover (not shown)

I want the aimpoint magnifier and Scalarworks 1.93” Leap/06 mount but they are never in stock and when they come back in stock they are gone in 15 minutes. Love the look of these things but would go unity based on the scarcity of Scalarworks if I had to do it over again. The backup sight issue would keep me away from anything other than standard height mounts as well.

I also think I want to swap the handle for a VZ Grips G10 rifle grip. Love the g10 VZ grips I have on my Ruger 22/45.

The cherry on top will be a super safety but haven’t gone there… yet.

Let me know what you think and what else if anything I should consider.

I am about to purchase a 7.5 762 durkin tactical upper and put it on a BCA (Bear Creak Arsenal ) lower is there any springs or weights that I need to buy ???

I recently got an amazon sling to attach to my magpul MOE stock. I didnt find any holes on the stock to stick the sling attachers to so I just slung it through the bottom area as shown in the photo. I also tried the back area as wlel. my goal was to my able to carry the rifle in front of my with the barrel pointed down (obviously) so I could open carry or for at the range. ive seen a lot of people use their slings for this. Im a sling noob so a problem is this rifle when I throw the sling over my shoulder, the rifle tends to flip over upside down with the sling. It did this whether the sling was on back or on the bottom. Im also not sure If Im setting up the front part well because I guess I could move it back but I tried moving it to the back of the handguard and this didnt really solve anything either. how do I set this up well as a leftie?

also another completely unrealated questin so I dont have to make a second post. On my handguard there is a normal M LOK insertion point on the bottom and side rails obviously. but between trhem there are like these sort of triangles. my question is what do you insert in those? and why are the handguard made like this instead of just having normal M LOK slots all around it.

Do any on know where to get a PPS43 adapter available for a 7.62x25 AR15? RMW Xtreme will not mail it to california.

Finally finished my .300 and by finished I mean finally quit messing with it. Shoots great and hasn’t had a problem cycling whatever I throw at it. And I love the goober mount.

Radical firearm Lower with a PSA classic mid length upper 55.6 1/7 twist phosphate barrel. In a world full of Mlok my love for quad rail will never go away. Looking for minor upgrades in this build. Any suggestions?

I have an Ar that I tried taking to the range and upon using it, my Ar wouldn’t fully eject the casing. It would get stuck. How can I fix that? Should I just replace the whole bolt carrier? Or is it just a spring? Idk what to do

I’m currently building two AR-15s. Both have matching Griffin Mk2 lowers, Schmid Elite Two Stage triggers, and CMMG Parts Kits.

I am having an issue with one of the triggers:
It will pull back and reach the end of its motion without firing, then after pulling on it really hard (like 10-15 lbs of pressure) it will finally break. The other one break perfectly.

I’ve swapped the good trigger and hammer over to the bad build, and the issue persisted. So it seems like it’s a lower issue.

To describe it, the trigger is “clicking” and sounding like it’s hitting something after the official trigger pull without firing. Then while still holding it if I pull it harder, it’ll fire.

Any ideas?

My issued AR15 has fully ambi controls. I’m not allowed to modify anything on it that requires tools, only allowed to put things on that can be put on / taken off by hand (using a multitool can be ok, depending on what the thing is)

I’m constantly worried about the ambi mag release bumping against my kit on long marches, dropping my mag on the ground. It hasn’t happened to me, but it’s common on every forced march that at least one guy drops his mag

Does anyone know of an ambi mag release lock, or something that can clip on that will make it harder to accidentally press the ambi-side mag release?

So I have a bushmaster carbon 15 and the upper receiver rail snapped off because my magnifier got knocked into something real hard. Does anyone know of a replacement from what I’m seeing so far I’m just Gona have to replace the upper receiver.

I have a 14.5 ar15 that I’m trying to have as a shtf duty rifle that I can use from 0-600m. I’m trying to find a 2-12 scope that I can mount a piggy back red dot on, but am having trouble finding what I want. I would like parallax adjustment and a Christmas tree reticle. My max budget is 1500 I don’t want precision accuracy as I already have a 6.5 for that but I want to be able to hit man sized targets at 600 if needed
