Returned Player: left just after centres release

Hey survivors is there a godly soul out on the ark (Official PvE) that could do this old timer a one in a million by crafting/trading me a transmitter and afew pairs of Tek binoculars?
Let me know what I can farm you up and I’ll get onto it

I’ll be boss for ready in about a weeks time to get back on top of tek but being a solo player I found the easiest to fastest way for me to do it is island bosses (arti and trophy wise)
I have my main base on ragnarok and have a cliff platform base (still setting up) set up right over red ob on the island to work my boss fights from.
The trip home from the island is no worry at all. I just jump down from my platform and check the timer, but on Ragnarok I have a southern island (pic attached) and the fly to and ob just find a timer is yaking my puzzle the wrong way.

I have rabbits and I have chickens in my game and I cannot figure out what mod they come from😭 I can tame the rabbits, but I cannot “steal the chickens” without crashing the game. I have the following mods:
Custom dino levels
Visual storage
Hyper extras
Human and PCs
Shiny! Dino ascended
Primordial minus one
Spawn blocker

Any ideas??

Before successfully completing the ship combat phase of my first gamma outpost, I tried it 3 times with a sloop before deciding I probably suck and built a brigintine to make life easier. I still struggled cause the steering is atrocious compared to games like sea of thieves but I eventually managed to enter the outpost. I figured it would just be a smaller version of Lost Colony outposts where ship combat is most of the combat so a good Bary would work since it's gamma. Funny enough I was right about the fact that my Bary was having a field day chomping on pirates but I then realized that I can't throw the dynamite so I have to dismount my tame. "No big deal" I thought as I killed these guys for like 5 minutes waiting for the trash mobs to stop spawning so I could safely dismount, but they never did. At that point it was clear that no progress would be made if i didnt blow up the explosive crates but I was almost dead cause for some reason, most of the trash mobs are armed with guns and hanging out in places unreachable by most dinos used for outposts so I said "fuck it i have shit to do" and just activated God mode so I can get this shitty mission over with. I then discovered that I had like 4 or 5 more crates to blow up which is crazy considering the infinite mob spawning constantly right up my ass but there's also a boss apperantly?? I wasn't expecting an actual boss for some reason but by all means my Bary with a very good saddle should've been enough to take a gamma outpost boss down so I decided to just take the time to wittle down its hp. The only problem is I wasn't expecting this edgy ass shithead of a pirate to have like 90% damage reduction like wtf. My bary was doing like 300 damage to the pirates and yet he barely did 25 damage to the pirate boss so I just decided to use a command to kill it and see if the loot is worth the insane grind you'd need to do even a gamma outpost which is way to much tbh. The rewards weren't bad but I could've gotten it with significantly less effort just doing normal genesis races... to make matters worse, I only had 60 seconds to escape the island, turn my slow ass brigg around, and get out of the blast radius before my ship got destroyed. By the end of this miserable experience my brig was at like 20k hp which is crazy since the rewards from the mission dont even come close to covering the cost of repairs😭

I don't really like using cheats so im probably gonna avoid pirate outposts for a long while until smth gets changed.

I want to find an Ark Survival Ascended server where you can grow up calmly and then fight in pvp. For example, I like the idea of starting in a pve map and then travelling to a pvp map, so if you lose all in the pvp map you can recover easily. Does anyone know a server like this? I live in europe so I would prefer an european server given the lower ping. I would love a server like this with active players in the pvp map.

I haven’t touched ARK in a few years. I tried the new one when it first launched and just couldn’t get into it.

So here I am… downloading nearly 200GB again for the nostalgic solo grind, and to relive what made ARK great.

The problem?

Almost every unofficial server I find is loaded with ORP (Offline Raid Protection).

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I honestly think ORP is one of the worst things added to ARK—right up there with fibercraft servers. It completely ruins the survival/pvp aspect of the game.

Does anyone know of any good servers that are:
10x–15x rates
No ORP
Semi player base (my sweet spot I like is 5-25 pop servers)
Preferably not fibercraft or super boosted Dino’s / stats

Okay...is that an Alpha T-rex? I'm playing on mobile and that guy seems a little bit too big for a normal T-rex and has a dark skin color,I don't have a spyglass and I red the wiki,but it said that the alphas have that specific aura which radiates off them,and I don't see any of the actuall aura itself,and since I already killed a normal T-rex I am kinda confused and puzzled.

What’s all your opinions on this and what do you think of it?

I'm playing right now ASE, and I'm going to kill bosses, so, I'm asking, should I use Paleo Rexes to it, or Yangchuanosaurus(from the mod Prehistoric Beasts)? I'm not entirelly sure of which one I should use, because the Rex deals some more damage, but the Yangchu has a bit more of life and supports my other tames with it's healthing, so... I don't know which one I should use? or I go with theris instead? or even with things like Indoraptors(I have Moro's Indomitable duo too)?

Is there a way to make sure that the parent with the higher stat (mutated) gets passed down to the offspring?

For example i need two rexes: male (1 melee mutation equaling to 54 points) and female(no mutation equaling to 52 points). Sometimes the babies will pop out with 52 melee but it still tracks the mutation. Even worse, i’ve had rexes pop out with a second melee mutation, but because it obtained the mother’s melee stat, it pops out with 54 again instead of 56!

Is there anyway i can fix this? Any mods that’ll ensure i always get the highest of the parent’s stats?

All my og friends dont play anymore. Im tired of playing solo. Just got wiped on small tribes. Need players to play with that can grind. Lmk.

I’m at hidden lake, I turn on their wandering to farm wood, first one died in middle of the lake so I thought it drowned, second one died near the tree

I have sealed off the hidden lake from all three entries with bemonths doors so keep out predators even if any animal spawn in, I have my dilo (6 30+ and 2 90+) raptor (4 50+) on aggression and wandering too clean them up,

My animal keep dying idk what happened

What do you think about ark the animated series is it good or bad and what do you think about this edit of it

The sheer scale of Astraeos blows my goddamn mind, and I stumbled on the Riverlands biome today while teleport hopping looking for places to move my base and it’s such a unique and gorgeous biome I can’t get over it.

Are they really that rare?

Im on max difficulty and on the pre aquatic version

I’ve farmed about 8,000 of them so far and if you’re trying to get a bunch, here’s what I’ve been doing (on The Island) that yields about 500 every 20-30 minutes:

Using a Desmodus seems to be the best mount since you can fly in all directions and they do a good amount of damage. They can also fly close enough to the water to kill them while they swim. After they swim into the ocean for a little bit they turn around eventually. They also only swim directly under the surface of the water so you can make their silhouette out and still hit them.

Use a Gene Scanner set to the Kairuku and it’ll point you in the direction of them. They seem to spawn in groups of 2-5, if you see one there’s a good chance more are around. They also make an almost “echo” scream when they die so don’t let it make you think there’s one under your feet, sometimes there isn’t, move on quickly. They can also get stuck in peoples bases and in behemoth walls where you can’t hit them.

They continue to spawn in the general area of you so you don’t need to travel the whole map. The best area of the map seems to be the West beaches of The Island anywhere from Lat. 40 Long. 9 - Lat. 80 Long. 9. I slowly hover back and forth between these points with the Gene scanner and look down onto them checking for their particle trails. You can see their particle trails from a long ways away so being high to check for a group of them is helpful.

Keep your mounts inventory low so the popsicles spawn into your mounts inventory on kill. I’ve also seen a decent amount of them spawn around Lat. 73 Long. 87. They Do Not seem to spawn nearly at all in the snowy parts like you may think.

TL;DR: Desmodus best mount, fly high to check for particle trails, on the island fly along the left side beach back and forth since more spawn, they swim directly under the surface so if they go in the water you can hover above them to kill them while they swim. Use a gene scanner set to Kairuku if you have one.

I've now spent more than an hour screwing with them.

So... I had the bright idea, what better way to get more hide for saddles than to raise Ovis. Well, made them a little pen, surrounded with wood fence.

Had a couple little glitches where they would get stuck in the fence, but for the most part, no issues. UNTIL they started popping out babies. First issue, my server settings are apparently set in such a way that the little things die before they hit juvenile and can get fed from the trough. Thats with or without imprinting/claiming. Second issue, the little ones can fit THROUGH the fence. Like goats... only smaller. Escape artists. Third issue... kinda hard to see them with all the grass and whatnot - so I have the bright idea, I'll put foundations in the pen.

Hour or two later building thatch foundations, redoing the pen, putting up thatch railing on the bottom, with wood railing on top (looks good).... I think I'm good. But no, Ark is going to Ark.

Now, I have Ovis getting stuck in foundations, stuck in fences, etc. Remove the foundation to get them to pop up. three immediately sneak out. get one unstuck, replace foundation, get Argy, hut three down, air drop them back in... Now see two more stuck in a railing.

Rinse and repeat that mess a half dozen times. Now they are all set to not wander, no breeding and I'll deal with it later... (like when I actually need the hide).
