Casey Jones, a sardonic cat detective with a knack for untangling other animals’ messes, is hired by Josh Tyson — a powerful herbivore and CEO of Happy Herd Inc., one of the largest meat and dairy producers in the Continental Trade Federation. Someone inside is leaking information, and Tyson wants it stopped before his empire bleeds out.

But the deeper Casey digs, the more tangled the world becomes — protests staged for profit, secrets worth killing over, and loyalties bought and sold like cattle. In a city where everything is commodified, the most dangerous thing you can do is ask what’s on the menu.

There's one problem: the smuggler stole the ship he's using, and never checked whether it had opinions about kidnapping. It does. As soon as it finishes a mandatory software update.

An ensemble-cast, comedic sci-fi adventure for anyone who thinks space pirates have gotten unfairly bad press. If you are fans of Science Fiction like Jamie McFarlane, or Julia Huni's Tales of a Space Janitor, this should be right in your lane. Warning! -> Not as funny as Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett.
