AP Physics 1 studying over the summer for AP Physics 1 from scratch

I’m trying to get ahead in AP Physics 1 over the summer as an incoming junior in high school. Should I do the high school physics course on Khan Academy to know the basics or should I jump straight to the AP Physics 1 course on there?

AP Physics 1 Should i use Passionfruit Learning?

I’m starting AP Physics 1 and looking for online resources for studying (besides Khan). I already have CrackAP as something I’ll probably use, but I feel like I need more than one thing especially since it’s not really much of a “study” website as far as I know. Is Passionfruit Learning okay? any other suggestions? 😅🧡
Reposting this from a different subreddit because reddit gave me a notif that I should lol

Did studying AP Physics help any of you during the actual course?

I've taken Physics at school, and this summer I'm going over the AP Physics materials from textbooks online and videos on YouTube. If any of you have done the same as me, did it end up actually helping- as opposed to just going into the class and doing your thing?

Maybe stupid question, because no effort goes wasted, I just wonder if people think this might make the process more or less convenient.

AP Physics C McGraw Hill 500 AP questions

Does anyone have a clean PDF of the McGraw Hill 500 AP Questions to know by test day 2012 Physics 1(first edition), Physics C first edition, or Chemistry 2016(2nd edition)? I’m looking for the original clean PDFs. Old pictures from stuff like Anna’s archive won’t do.

Static Friction Direction

I was wondering why the force of static friction to the left(parallel to the ramp). My line of thinking is that the radial force is pointing inwards, but the radius is unchanging, so shouldn't the force of static friction be pointing to the right?

Edit: Thank you for the responses, the issue has been resolved.

How bad is AP Physics 1?

Hi! I'm taking AP Physics 1 this year. I really want to get either a 4 or a 5 on the exam. I haven't taken Physics before, so I am wondering what the best resources I can use to prepare are?

AP Physics C: E&M what kind of calculus is in Physics C?

im taking physics c e&m/m this school year, at the same time that i am taking calculus bc. ive heard that physics c has some triple integrals or whatever, and i dont have any actual calculus experience besides ap precalculus (which is entirely different)

could someone let me know what parts of calculus i should study to be ready? i plan on studying the entire course (calc bc) in advance but i wanna know some priority points. id also appreciate some ideas on how to prepare for physics itself since this is my first physics class (Im really throwing myself in the deep end.)

Title: Free AP Physics 1 first chapter with worked MCQ/FRQ solutions

Hi everyone! I’m working on an independent AP Physics 1 practice workbook focused on step-by-step explanations for self-study.

I’m sharing the first chapter for free right now to get feedback from students, tutors, and teachers. It includes a key concepts page, worked MCQ explanations, and one full FRQ solution with diagrams/free-body diagrams.

The goal is to help students understand the reasoning behind each step, not just check an answer key.

If you’re studying AP Physics 1 and would like to try it, I’d be happy to send it over. I’d be very grateful for any feedback on whether the explanations are actually useful.

Looking for feedback on an AP Physics 1 homeschool resource

Hi everyone! I’m working on an independent AP Physics 1 practice resource and would appreciate feedback from homeschool families, tutors, or teachers.

The goal is to make AP Physics 1 more self-study friendly, especially for students who need clear step-by-step reasoning rather than a short answer key.

The sample I’m reviewing includes a key concepts page, a few worked multiple-choice explanations, one full free-response solution, and diagrams/free-body diagrams.

For families who have taught AP Physics 1 at home: what would make a resource like this genuinely useful? Are there specific pain points you’ve run into with AP Physics 1 prep?
