American fan here. I starting to follow the Premier League after watching the World Cup, and Bournemouth caught my attention because of the club’s underdog story and Tyler Adams playing for the team.

Curious how many other Bournemouth supporters are based in the U.S. Are there any cities or areas with especially active fan groups or watch parties? How did other American fans end up supporting Bournemouth?

I’m also still learning about the club, so what should a newer supporter know about its history, culture, rivalries, and traditions? Are there any good documentaries, podcasts, YouTube channels, or social media accounts you’d recommend following?

Hello! I am from the Liverpool Subreddit. Dw I come seeking help.

I’m currently writing a 4 part tactical analysis on Andoni Iraola. I’ve talked about his time at Bournemouth, how he set up, his press, tendencies in part 1.

I also posted part 2 which concerned the defenders and keepers. I analyzed their roles, possible instructions based off the data from Opta analyst and the official PL app.

I am now on part 3 which concerns the midfield players/roles.
I am going to exclusively talk about how he instructs in a 4-2-3-1. So I wanna dissect his double pivot and attacking midfielder.

So I came here to ask if anyone here would be kind enough to give their own personal analysis from watching the games since u r definitely better versed than I am. And I could add it to my write up.

running an experiment to see which LLM is the best predictor for transfers? Outside of Silva, which of these other predictions will be correct?

My son (10) has recently got into football thanks to the World Cup and wants to go to see a football match. Bournemouth is fairly local to us and as he doesn’t yet support a team I feel it makes sense to introduce him to the big local club.

How does buying a ticket work? I’m a bit confused on the website, it seems they come out at certain dates but then talks about points?

Is it possible to even get tickets without being members?

Hi all. I’m an American who is trying to find a team to root for in the EPL. I’m from Las Vegas, where the Cherries’ owner lives so it’s a bit of a natural fit here.

My question is, what are your thoughts about American fans?

I struggle with the idea of attaching myself to a team from a city I’ve never been. Your crest represents your town and the people who live there.

I feel like I haven’t earned the right, if that makes sense.

Analysis looking at Marco Rose's tactics. Some of the main takeaways:

• Expect aggressive pressing and quick transitional attacks rather than high possession.
• Out of possession, his teams get really compact in the centre, force play wide and swarm the ball to win possession and counter. At their best, his teams are difficult to play through, but they consistently struggle with maintaining that intensity over a full season (an issue with Europe?).
• In possession, Rose's teams are direct. They look to progress the ball quickly. That can make them strong in open games but sometimes leaves them short of solutions against low blocks (probably not a major issue).
• Stylistically, Bournemouth already have a lot of the qualities Rose values. Their pressing intensity and athletic profile should make the transition relatively smooth, but balancing Premier League football with a European campaign will be a completely new challenge.

Obviously nothing is done until it's official, but this feels like exactly the sort of signing we've built our reputation on over the last few years. A young player with plenty of experience already, a reasonable reported fee, and lots of room to develop. If this one gets over the line, I can see why so many people are excited about it.

The move comes as the club tries to push towards second tier football as the previous venue in Ringwood would not be sustainable in the WSL2.

Alvaro Rodriguez represented Spain at youth level before switching to Uruguay, saying he felt a stronger connection to La Celeste and its football identity. He grew up in Spain, speaks with a Spanish accent, and was considered one of Spain's top youth prospects before making the switch.

It also means competing in CONMEBOL, where World Cup qualifying is widely regarded as one of the toughest in football, with long travel, altitude, heat, and consistently strong opposition.

this one just got confirmed by Romano a few hours ago on his tweets and his latest youtube video and I don't think it's getting talked about enough. He put out a here we go soon but maybe at the end of the month for the transfer, saying personal terms are agreed with Silva and it's very close club to club with Benfica too, just held up because Benfica won't let him leave until later in the window.

For anyone who doesn't know him, Silva's 22, Portuguese, been a regular starter for Benfica for years now, 41 appearances across all competitions this past season including six in the Champions League. He's actually the youngest player to ever represent Portugal at a World Cup, capped at 19. Genuinely not some unknown gamble, this is someone who's already played real European football at a high level.

The part that actually is remarkable is his transfer fee lol. Reports have it sitting somewhere between 20 and 25 million euros. For a 22 year old starting centre back with over 180 senior appearances, that's an absurd bargain. I swear if he was english or french, he wouldn't be sold for atleast 70M. He turned down a contract extension, only had a year left on his deal, so Benfica basically had to cash in now or risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Bournemouth are reportedly getting him on a five year deal through 2031 as well, which honestly sums up their whole model at this point. Low risk, high upside, either he becomes a genuine long term starter for them, or he pops off in a couple years and they flip him to a Champions League club for triple the fee, which is basically the exact same trick they've pulled before with other defenders Zabarny and Huijsen who left for PSG and Real Madrid.

Bournemouth pull this trick EVERY SINGLE YEAR, just how underrated this team's recrutement team is ?! GG tbf.

There's a lot of data to process, most of which I've forgotten less than 5 minutes after reading haha.

But the long and short of it is that he's in the mould of Alexander Isak. Big frame like a 9 but very adept with his feet and can create and score. Described as a potential "unicorn".

His childhood dream of Premier League football comes true on his birthday as Álvaro Rodriguez becomes the first signing of the Marco Rose era. After leaving Real Madrid for Elche, he put up significant numbers, getting twelve goal contributions to help the promoted side stay up.

The recruitment model depends on buying well and selling at the right moment and Bournemouth have generally done that well enough to keep competing. But there's always one where the timing feels slightly off in hindsight — either sold before they hit their peak or kept a season longer than the value suggested. Would love to know which ones people here think fell into each category.
