Looking for an old 2D animated TV series (possibly European, aired on Ukrainian TV around 2008–2012)
I’m trying to find a cartoon I watched as a kid. Some details may be inaccurate because it’s been many years, but here’s everything I remember:
It was a 2D animated series, definitely not anime.
The animation looked old and low-budget, probably from the 1980s or 1990s.
It aired on Ukrainian TV (possibly TET, QTV, K1, or another channel) around 2008–2012, often in the evening (around 10 PM).
The main character was a young man (teenager or young adult), very thin, with long black hair and side-swept bangs, narrow/sharp eyes, dark clothes, and long legs.
I think he may have worn a mask or headband.
I remember a white horse that belonged to him.
The opening sequence is the thing I remember most: the hero stood in front of a full moon and slashed a large bright red letter “Z” with his sword/rapier. The red “Z” was the main visual of the intro.
The series felt similar to Zorro, but I’ve already checked the well-known Zorro cartoons (1981 Filmation, 1997 animated series, the anime version, etc.), and none of them match the art style I remember.
I vaguely remember the hero’s name sounding something like Bernard, Bernardo, Bartolomeo, or something similar, but I’m not confident about that.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Even obscure European or Latin American animated series are welcome.
