This badass mission for me is what made the game unique. What part of the game did you enjoy the most?

In the defeat Murto mission, where you can't fight him even after fighting the twins before in the story, I use gadgets to make the chandelier fall on him. But then gadgets don't recharge at all/stay glitched out. I can't use them anymore to decrease his health afterwards. Restarted the checkpoint many times too!

Rewatching The Bourne Identity right now, and there are a lot of similarities.

Was able to get this for $166 and some change shipped, so around 50% off MSRP. Xbox only, but I already had the Deluxe version of Steam and wanted all the bits and bobbles, so this turned out to be a good deal. Thought I'd drop it here in case anyone else was on the fence for a sale.

so in one of the levels were in Webbs office and looking at clues to solve a combination lock. One of these clues is a painting depicting rokos basilisk. Now before I explain what rokos basilisk is if you have ocd or are easily scared by shit i wouldnt reccomend reading although i do think its a stupid idea now as someone with ocd i spent a few months genuinly terrified of this concept.
Rokos basilisk is basically a theory some weirdo from the less wrong (a cult like forum dedicated to rationalism, effective altruism and other intellectually narcissistic ideas) aswell as being full of ai obsessed tech bros) the theory is that an otherwise benevolent powerful ai would punish those who knew of its potential existence in the past but didnt help it by supporting ai research or spreding knowledge of its existence this would therefore encourage people to create this ai basically through time transcending blackmail. If it doesnt make any sense i understand its a completely stupid idea made through the mind of a deranged techbro but when this idea was posted to lesswrong there was a massive panic about it and the chief leader of the tech bro incels yudkowsky banned discussion of it cause they genuinly thought that anyone who knew of rokos basilisk would be at risk of being punished by it if it came to ever exist.
Their are some influential people who are influenced by lesswrong such as elon musk who met his ex partner grimes through shared knowledge of rokos basilisk and with the way elon says ai is dangerous despite contributing to the imrpovement of ai it wouldnt surprise me if he was genuinly being influenced by this.
And in the james bond game i think webb is elon musk in this scenario a billionaire effective altruist who believes that if he doesnt dedicate all his resources to building ai he will be punished by that ai if it manages to exist without his help. I think this adds layers to his motivation to cover up theias mistake other then just greed for money/power he genuinly could think if he doesnt his mind will be downloaded by an ai and tortured for millenium if he doesnt.
Its also possible that isolas client could be motivated by the same ideas but we know basically nothing about them so who knows lol but i think it would be cool if the next game focuses on this cause i think its a really interesting rabbit hole these loser tech bros came up with to scare themselves into licking ais boot.
Also I know a lot of this post was dedicated to just providing context for what i was actually trying to say about the game so sorry about that lol but im really interested in it and the less wrong cult in general so id just be really interested if these ideas would be explored further in the next game

I simply went into this game because I really had nothing better to do. Much like with red dead redemption 2, I came out loving this game. I think the decision to essentially restart the James Bond series breathes new life into a classic series beloved by many.
Patrick Gibson absolutely nailed this new James Bond character. The casting was absolutely perfect. I was truly heart broken about Greenway as I am a huge Lennie James fan. They really made us slowly love him before pulling him away from us, kind of like with Monroe too. I would have liked it if Cressida didn’t completely disappear but I’m really holding out hope that she’ll return in some capacity in the sequel.
Each level was beautifully made and unique but I will admit , the Aleph part was definitely my least favorite, it just felt a tad bit out of place. I thoroughly enjoyed every other part of the game. I do give the Antarctica level a bit of a raised eyebrow just on the principle of realism and there’s no shot a robotics lab would be there.
I’m extremely excited to see where this series is going to go considering they are apparently planning on a trilogy. I’m also wondering if this eventually paves way for a new film series with Patrick Gibson taking on the character further.

Does anyone happen to have an unused Daring Elite code for 007 First Light?
I haven’t had any luck finding any of the promotional suits, and unfortunately I missed out on all the free codes that were being shared.
If anyone has a spare code they’d be willing to share, I’d really appreciate it.
Please feel free to send me a DM.
Thanks in advance!

I just left my game on the menu for about 2 hours while I went out as my ps5 is downloading a game. When I came back, all the animations are now extremely fast. Eg the "valhalla protocol" teaser thing in the corner is playing at about 20x speed and the background animation at about the same. I wonder if there's some kind of very slowly incrementing speed for the menu??

I just started the Vietnam mission at the resort. I’m getting a little burned out on the game, but if I’m close to the end I’ll push through before I return the game to the library.

The title pretty much says it all. I understand the story is saying that politics are complicated and that MI6 cannot do whatever it wishes, but it just seems as if M doesn’t even want to bother fixing the situation after the first leak.
I know the point of this is making M seem more mature and experienced, but it just makes her seem completely naive.
Loved the game tho

Can we talk about how the dialogue in this game is so witty?! Like I love every second of it. I’m American & I LOVE how witty the Brit’s seem on this game lol!

I like to go for those in stealth games. I.e 100% non-lethal. Is there one in this game?

As an old school Bond fan, This would increase my enjoyment of this game x1000000! Pics are from a Battlefront mod (Han solo replacement), and it's not perfect but it would look good enough to convince me Connery was Bond in First Light if they used this model. And I'm not sure if it's possible for a modder to just use this Connery model and replace it? But it would be awesome if they didn't have to actually model a whole new face and just swap them!

You just know that feeling when the action is starting to get a bit tight, and there is an unusual amount of hostiles *chefs kiss*

I enjoyed First Light, however it is more of a cinematic experience than a gaming one. And, as a huge fan of the 007 franchise, I wish they would create an Open World RPG based on that IP.
The opportunity are limitless. If any studio is interested please hit me up. I have so many ideas.

I am a little late to the party but have just completed the main story of the game.
Nowadays I don’t play games often, I don’t have the time. But this game has took every minute and hours of my time for the last 2 days and I have 0 regrets.
A very well polished game, hand to hand combat actual felt more rewarding than staying stealth the entire way through although stealth was also fun to play along with. Gun combat was clean, ability to pick up new weapons mid fight was amazing, true Bond experience.
The spy craft was great, I think the laser, dart phone, explosive pen was my favourite and the odd time is use the concussive ear buds or whatever they are. But I do believe they should add more variety, it is a spy game after all.
Same goes with vehicles, James Bond is notorious for Aston Martins, boat, off road, airborne chases etc. I feel we didn’t get enough of that action. I understand that can be quite boring in a games sense but based off what the developers did, I’m sure they’re smart enough to make it more enjoyable.
It would be nice to unlock more suits, it’s a niche topic and probably a biased opinion. But I like the ability to choose a suit, Bond style like the Hitman games.
But overall fantastic game, great story line and I will 100% recommend and even pre order the sequel
