Swear every check swing is being called a swing on us lately

Drink every time Franny complains about a check swing call

Lile has such a sweet swing i wish he would stop immediately chasing every pitch

I think we’ve been rung up on check swings 587 times in the last 5 games

Some good baserunning from Abrams this inning. Nice change of pace from the last six years of Nats baseball.

Scherzer just tossed 5 no-hit innings with 7 strikeouts against the Red Wings lol, what a beast.

I mean I know he’s old but should we expect much less from a first ballot hall of famer pitching against a AAA team? Lol

It's still crazy to see him do it after all those nagging injuries he's gone through recently, plus the man is turning 42 next week.

I'm 43 and hurt my neck getting out of the car the other day :(

Nationals Reportedly Considering Keeping Foster Griffin By Charlie Wright | at July 22, 2026 12:31pm CDT

Left-hander Foster Griffin should have plenty of suitors if he’s made available at the trade deadline, but he isn’t a guarantee to be on the block. Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon of The Athletic reported this morning that the Nationals are “still assessing” whether to trade Griffin or keep him for the rest of the regular season. An extension is also a possibility.

Right, so no news. This is obnoxious

Ok relax, I don't care about individual reddit users. That's bizarre. I'm talking about the article's content referencing mlb media personalities who are just saying "this could happen, but this may also happen" effectively saying nothing new.

Washington working out a long-term deal with Griffin ahead of the trade deadline seems like a long shot. Even if his production trails off in the second half, the 30-year-old should garner plenty of interest this offseason. His trip through free agency will be much more lucrative this time around. The Nationals have been hesitant spenders in recent seasons, currently sitting with the fourth-lowest payroll according to our Payroll Tracker tool. Unless there’s some kind of hometown discount (which would be surprising after just a half-season in the organization), Washington is unlikely to fork over a major commitment. Regardless of the circumstances, a late July extension for a trade candidate is pretty rare.
