New, what is it? What are these little plastic things i have found in my sons room

I have found a few of these little plastic things scattered around my 15 year old sons room, and was wondering what they are?

I can't believe how much progress we made towards eliminating smoking. Only to have it completely undone over a couple years by pink lemonade flavored lung juice.

Smoking progress is coming undone too. Millennials did a great job not getting addicted to nicotine. Now Gen Z is not only hardcore vaping, they thing smoking is cool too.

The rise in nicotine vaping is largely responsible for the decline in combustible tobacco use. That’s wonderful news for public health and awful news for tobacco companies and governments / NGOs beholden to tobacco tax income.

"Completely undone" is a bit of an exaggeration. Sure, vaping is not great either and there are obviously not as many long term studies as with smoking but it is pretty safe to say that it is at least by far not as bad as traditional smoking.
Especially when you use liquids without nicotine to eliminate the biggest addiction factor. In fact, i remember a time before "vaping" was cool and when they were still called "e-cigarettes" (at least where I live) and considered to be one of the most promising ways of quitting smoking because they allowed you to slowly transition to a less harmful way of having a similar experience.

It is also less of a fire hazard (as in: doesn't start a wildfire when accidentally dropped into dry foliage) and I'm pretty sure "passive vaping" is much less of a concern than passive smoking.
Single use vapes should absolutely be abolished everywhere for their wasteful use of Li-Ion batteries, though.

I agree with almost every point but you’re not accounting for how much you vape compared to how much you’d smoke. I used to smoke a pack a week, I probably vape 10x more than I smoked.

vapes are way more versatile in where and when I can use them. I wouldn’t smoke a cigarette in my house or on the toilet but with a vape I can just use it wherever

People are dying from vaping lol. popcorn lung, various lung related scarring and damage, heart failure. It’s a better alternative to smoking but it’s not good for you. I also vape, not preaching for you to quit but calling it safe is just not true lol

There was a small outbreak in 2019-2020 because of bootleg fake THC cartridges but nobody is dying of popcorn lung today, or dying at all from vaping today.. I also didn't explicitly called it safe..

My cousin died a horribly painful death due to vaping. If I remember correctly, he developed popcorn lung. The damage to his lungs was too much to recover from. He was so weak and in so much pain in the end he opted to take morphine and go off his ventilator. He was just 27. 💔 Not all vapes are that dangerous, but enough of them are. Make informed choices and stay safe out there.

I never read such an uneducated take in a long time now. Who exactly made progress in eliminating smoking? Please annswer this question. Also vaping is way healthier than combustible smoke. Every Human has an addiction that’s natural. We all need a dopamine release. Doesn’t matter if it’s Entertainment, Sugar, Caffeine or whatever. 

We could argue Gen Z is actually the only one making a true change, because they are actively switching to non-combustible smoking methods.
