So…First time someone accused me on using A1 filter for the photo of my art?

Not this one, but another piece that I made 3 years ago long before 9en A1 is a thing.
Not sure if I should be piss or proud of my background props collection looks too good to be true lol.

There’s a lot about this I would change, however I’m just happy I finished something from my own imagination - instead of getting frustrated and binning it 😂

I really love illustration style art so leaned in to that a bit - if anyone has any recommendations for tutorials of a similar style please let me know 😊

After trying Meeden and Arches i ordered a Block of Saunders Waterford and i think this is my favorite paper.
All of them habe their Pros and Cons but this one is so nice to draw on.

I’ve seen painted boxes. And I’ve seen people create gouache and acrylic paintings (lots of floating goldfish) ON cardboard.

But am I the only one painting the cardboard itself? Darn those World Watercolor Month prompts anyway🤣

I used Strathmore Watercolor pencils. This was donated to my local Bostie rescue group for a fundraiser auction.

Today’s pieces. Someone’s 8 yo niece joined us today. I had her pick out a kitty from my samples of clip art. She chose the kitty with the bow and I let hr take it with her.

I am an artist for years already but just only made few artworks in my life but just really love arts (just busy from college)

And now I trued investing into a quality paper. What are your thoughts about using high-end materials while still not confident about your works?

i recently upgraded to a da vinci casaneo paintbrush in size 4 and ohhh my godddd it has changed the game!! painting with it is almost like learning to paint with watercolour again - i’m having so much using it! i always knew that there was a reason people bought expensive paintbrushes but i didn’t imagine the difference to be quite this mad!!!! just an appreciation post - feel very pleased that i’m finally able to (and able to let myself) spend money on my hobbies😍
