Meal Plan Question
I have a sophomore moving in to Lakeside (apartment has a kitchen). Looking for meal plan advice from people who have lived there. Which meal plan did you go with?

Hey yall, I am not all that active on reddit these days and looks like most of the other mods arent either. A couple of them posted within the last month in other communities, and the rest of them havent posted/commented in years.
So it looks like it's time for some new mods!
Feel free to comment on here as to why you think you'd make a good moderator and uhh, idk I guess I'll start with the top 3 most upvoted comments as new mods? Unless yall have better ideas. But yeah its time to get some current students as mods and not alumni who are 10+ years out from college.
Edit: jeez i suck at typing on phones. Also looks like we are all "inactive" so I am trying to get permissions back so I can add new people

I have some trading cards I would like painted over. Either extend the art (example attached) or just completely paint over it with your own style. Please reply or DM if interested.

Has anyone applied to the UMiami Spring 2027 nursing program recently?
The deadline is October 1, but applications opened back in February. Are people still getting accepted, or is it mostly waitlists at this point?
Would you apply for Spring now or just wait for Summer 2027? TIA

I’ve heard on TikTok etc that the first week is extremely important. I’m a little nervous because there are a lot of parties and I never went to any in high school. I know I probably sound like a pussy lmao but i just want some advice on what to do.

Hi im considering taking a lease in south miami (valencia building specifically) I am an international female student and basically plan walking to campus and everywhere since I wont have a car. I saw an older post saying that near the REC center is really dangerous and now im afraid because is just a few blocks away.

Im a rising hs senior and have been thinking about Miami for a while now. I'm hoping to find any current / former BSN students who could tell me a little bit about the nursing program.
How are clinicals in the Miami area? Will I be able to get around without my car? Any info would be amazing. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I'm transferring to UMiami this fall and trying to figure out my budget before classes start. Course materials (textbooks, access codes, etc.) can get expensive fast, so I wanted to ask people who've actually taken classes here:
I don't want to blow money on stuff I won't need, but I also don't want to fall behind because I tried to save a few bucks. Any advice from people who've been through it would be super helpful!

Anyone else still waiting on a response? Or if you've gotten a decision recently
It's been about a month with no word, and when I emailed asking for an update they just said my application is still under review.

Has anyone taken this class? The rate my professors on Justin Stoler in general are very split. There’s only one review for GEG345 in general and it’s positive, but I wanted to hear from anyone who took the class and whether it’s worth taking. For context I’m an environmental engineering student looking for an elective that relates to my field.

Not sure if anyone else has required training (grad school) on ULearn, but I keep getting errors when clicking on the link.

Hi! I just got my bill for MIAMI and I am an incoming transfer student…essentially when I received my aid I was guaranteed a big chuck of a refund to pay for my rent. However I am from another state and required to have the Miami health insurance which is fine because even with that part taken out of my aid I would still have enough to pay rent.
BUT…they added the full health insurance amount to my fall bill instead of splitting between the semesters which leaves me with a gap where I was supposed to fulfill my rent costs. I am going to try to call on Monday but has anyone else encountered this issue..and what have you done or have they accommodated you ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Hey everyone, I’m an incoming grad student looking for housing starting around August 1st, ideally at Red Road Commons or a similar student apartment near campus. Preferably furnished.
DM me if you have or know of anything available.
Thanks!

Hi everyone! I was recently admitted to the UMiami ABSN program for Spring 2027 and am starting to look into housing.
Are there any other admitted students who are looking for a roommate or interested in finding housing together? I would also appreciate recommendations from current or former ABSN students about apartments or neighborhoods that are safe, reasonably priced, and convenient for getting to campus and clinicals.
I’m not from Florida, so any advice about where most ABSN students live, whether a car is necessary, and how early I should secure housing would be really helpful. Thank you!
