So basically whenever I try to download an game it would download at first but then the mpbs would just drop and steam would just give it a network error it wasn't like this before? Is it because my WiFi is near my computer like I'm literally next to it.

instead of this box completely locking the client from being able to do anything else, what if this was moved to downloads or could be minimized instead?

System and all drivers are up-to-date, but the game will crash within a few minutes when I run the game from my shortcut or Steam. However, if I open the Xbox app and launch from there, the game does not crash. I've tested this over the past 3 days and so far it's 100%.

I've never had to use the Xbox app or have it open, so it's an annoying little extra step, but at least I can play the game. Might work for you, too?

I used my email before as a steam guard, everytime I login in different computer they send a code to my email because that time I only renting a computer per hour but then I add a phone steam authenticator and I lost my phone together with my recovery code which is so important and now I can’t recover my act anymore.

I’ve done multiple times to file a ticket and still no mercy to my act.

FedEx delivered my steam deck to wrong location or either stole it, usually you open the fedex app and check delivery there’s a picture showing you it’s been delivered I’ve had numerous packages shipped by them and this is a first, nor was my delivery address correct anymore it just said my state no address and I KNOW I got my address correct I have screen shots. I recently built a new PC with these specs:

• Ryzen 7 7800X3D
• DDR5 6000MHz EXPO
• RTX 3060 Ti
• Windows 11 Home

Everything runs great except Steam.

Whenever I turn on my PC and try to launch Steam, it’s super slow. I get a Steam Client WebHelper error sometimes, and Steam won’t open until after around 5 minutes. Same thing when launching games — everything feels unusually slow, but only through Steam.

Things I already tried:

• Disabled APU/iGPU in BIOS
• Reinstalled Steam
• Updated GPU + chipset drivers
• Fast startup on/off
• SSD has plenty of space

Still the same issue.

Has anyone experienced this on Windows 11 or with a similar setup? Any ideas on what could be causing it? It’s only Steam — everything else launches instantly.

Hello I plan on selling my gaming laptop on eBay and someone sent an offer I can’t refuse for it so I have about 24 hours to accept. My only issue is that I’m currently selling lots of my skins on counter strike through CSFloat. I have the steam app on my phone as well as the csfloat app on my phone also. So if I reset my computer and sell it, will I be able to still sell my skins on cs? Or do I need to keep the computer until I sell everything? Thanks.

Ever since I upgraded my pc takes forever to shutdown/ reset , my steam client won’t open once fully closed, my games won’t download / update , I’ve uninstalled/ reinstalled steam 20 times by now, I’ve done 2 factory resets and still haven’t fix the issue. did I upgrade something wrong or is it something else?

So, how does everyone generally sort their steam libraries?

Hello, I’m having an issue where I’m trying to load up resident evil 0 on steam, the game will open up for a second in a windowed mode with a black screen and then instantly crash, I’ve researched the problem and have found little. One suggested I try and force open the game in windowed mode. Which did not work. I have an ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor which may be the reason as to why it will not open games. I would really appreciate some help here.

It’s been years since I have been able to log into my steam account. I am always stuck at the part that asks for the last 4 digit of the CC used.

I opened my account in 2016. I used my moms old CC which she doesn’t have access to anymore, ITS BEEN 9 YEARS!!!

I have tons of games on it and feel fully defeated.

I'm looking to buy the Oled 512gb version, but I live in Puerto Rico and I'm aware they don't ship it to here. I was looking at other alternatives such as Amazon or Ebay but in Amazon the taxes and shipping round it up to almost $720, in Ebay I'm seeing some nice prices but I'm not too trusting and I feel like they're probably scams. And in PR there are no local places that sell it. I'm trying to look for other alternatives before having to resort to having to ask a family member that lives in the states to use their address and then shipping it to here. Any recommendations?

A person sent me a friend request on Steam, and I accepted it since I stream on Twitch and my Steam account is linked there (I thought it might be one of my followers). The next day, he messaged me very politely and asked me to like a CS2 skin he claimed to have made. He was smart about it—first he sent me a YouTube post (that lowered my guard) and inside was the actual scam link.

I clicked the link, and it took me to a lookalike Steam page. At first, I didn’t notice anything wrong, so I tried to log in. When it didn’t let me sign in, I finally looked at the URL and realized I AM COOKED. It was obviously a fake Steam page designed to steal accounts and I fell for that.

Fortunately, I quickly changed my password and also ended all active sessions in steam, among which I found the scammer. XD

I want to recover my steam account but i no longer have access to original/first email no more but i know what it was . Can i still recover it without its access ?

Like the title says I have bf6 installed and it runs fine. The issue is that yesterday it said it needed an update but it wouldn't actually update which kept me from playing it and it was also showing as being a unreleased game. I tried to verify files first but that didn't fix it. The only thing that fixed it kn the end was to reinstall the game but it's still showing up as needing an update and being an unreleased game. Anyone know of or can think of a way to fix this issue?

My account has been compromised and everything has been changed starting with the phone number>steam guard>email, what are the chances that after getting it back with the help of Steam support my CS2 skins will still be in my account?

I know that after changing the 2FA you get trade banned, could the hacker transfer the items before they changed phone number/steam guard?

Really hard for me to understand how they did it when I got the Steam guard on my phone. Any thoughts will be appreciated!

I just have my Steam account recovered by Steam support ticket using my retail CD Keys as a proof of ownership to recover my account last month. As this account was last access back in 2009 if I remember correctly.

Today I just found some games in my Library that I didn't purchase so I check my account transaction history and saw some unauthorized transactions that probably made by someone that hi-jacked my account from 2009-2010.

You will see all those unauthorized transactions were made from PayPal with £ currency (May be UK or somewhere in EU?)

Should I be worried about this and submit a ticket to Steam support?

Yesterday my account got h4cked while i was playing ranked game in dota2.

After that I tried to quickly change my password and logged in again, so called "Steam Support" reached out to me via messages on steam. There were no friends in my friend list but only bunch of steam supports in the list. I was freaking out a little bit and as i said i was in the middle of a game too. So they bombarded me with messages and I couldn't read them out fully and I am not the brightest one and mesaages were convincing for me because I didn't know you could write messages like that so I proceed with the messaging cautiously until they send me a link. I am always cautious about the links so I started to doubt they are the real steam support and with a quich search on web and reddit I come to conclusion that they are not. So I did what I have to do and give them the middle finger. So the messages go as the images lol.

It was really scary experience and I am still not sure if they can access to my account. I changed my account and email passwords. But ehen I check the authenticator it was showing me a stranger device that accessed my account via chrome and it says that I gave this account access through my steam authenticator. Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening again? I really would appreciate the help, thanks
