I have ancestors in Italy and Venezia is the (currrent) Serie A club located closest to the town where my family lived way back when. So if I was ever to adopt a Serie A team as a side hustle, I guess they would be a logical first choice.

What would a person who does this be getting themselves into? What's the fan culture like? The reputation of the club and its supporters amongst other Serie A fans? Is the club well run? Successful? Are they a big club or a small club or something in between?

I typically support a non-big-six Premier League club. What EPL/EFL teams would Venezia be comparable to?

I saw some stuff about how they were recently promoted, and how they are known for having interesting kit designs. And I guess people take boats to the stadium sometimes. Other than that, I know nothing.

I support Newcastle and SC Freiburg and I’m looking for a fun, decently competitive team with a passionate fan base. I’m deciding between Napoli/Juventus/Atalanta, which one is the most fun?

🫡 Juventus have completed a new defensive signing. Zeki Çelik will be a new Bianconeri player. The Turkish defender joins as a free agent after his contract with Roma expired.

Çelik's time at Roma was quite inconsistent. In some matches he proved to be a reliable player, but in others he made several mistakes and was often criticised by the fans. He never managed to become a regular starter, although he was always ready when called upon.

🔥 He is a full back with good international experience, strong defensively and capable of playing as a wing back in a back five. Going forward, however, he has never been particularly effective and does not usually provide many goals or assists.

⚔️ For Juventus, this is a smart signing from a financial point of view, as they did not have to pay a transfer fee. It is unlikely to be a signing that excites the fans, but he could prove to be a useful squad player if he finds consistency.
