General Saints row 1-2 Xbox series x
How often do these games get discounted on Xbox store?
About a year ago I could have gotten these games as a buy one get one free deal but I didn’t. (I regret it so much)
Which is making me not buy it full price. Since then game has not gone on sale.

Saints Row The Third Retrospective
Me and my wife just replayed the entire series together, and what stuck out to me the most, was how abysmally bad SR3 is. I'm gonna pick it apart, mostly just to get my own thoughts out, but also to see if anyone feels the same about this overrated mess.
And that's just what it is, right? Overrated. SR fans hold it up as some kind of wonderful compromise between 2 and 4, when it's really the worst of both, a game that does nothing uniquely well. It's characters are just ugly caricatures of the 2010's, it's story is nonsensical and borderline non-existent, and it's open world is, no contest, the most lifeless, boring, personality-less, dead thing I've ever seen. The whole game is a hollow vehicle for the dev's cornball GenX chungus humor and very little else besides.
I'm not bound to nostalgia by any means, but playing it right after 2, it's impossible not to compare. Impossible not to notice just how much less there is to do in 3. The effort from the devs is just not here. The activities are incredibly dull and frustrating, the customization is half what it was, the interiors and map variety are gone, the illusion of freedom in a big sandbox is lost. Not to mention, it's buggy as all hell, especially in co-op.
What surprised me though, is how even 4 was a step up. 4 at least KNOWS what it is. It gives you some fun stuff to fool around with, and despite how absurd it is, actually takes its premise and characters seriously at times. Weirdly, it treats the OG games with much more reverence than their direct sequel did. It also at least remembers to be a fun game first, rather than JUST a parody, which was such a relief after toiling through 3.
I couldn't believe how much time and, I guess, nostalgia had warped my perspective of SR3. Couldn't believe what a chore it was. It's a crass, gray, ugly dick joke wrapped up like a video game. It peaks in the first hour and then nosedives off a cliff, never to recover. What a sad hunk of shit. Should've turned it off as soon as "Power" wrapped up.

SR1 After coming back and playing the saints row franchise again and trying all of them for the millionth time sr1 was so bare bones it felt like an arcade game. (Still love it)
Don't attack the messenger here I had fun today for a few hours. I will honestly say once I hopped onto saints row 2 I felt a world of a difference. After playing all of them it reminded me how much saints 1 felt like an arcade game. But still very much an amazing game.
The map is relatively small most things in the game are basic and yk it actually is fun but I can't feel myself getting the entertainment level of any other sr. It reminds me of gow 1 where you have fun it's playable but man I can't grind it out.
What games do you find that are fun to play but just doesn't have a lot of sustenance?
(Edit) Sr3/4 pmo with how much they unnecessarily put things in b they just had no business putting in. Sr3 unfortunately was where the game lost the plot.

Looking for the sliders for this specific Boss (Share Code is dead due to server shutdown)
Hey everyone! I found this awesome custom Boss from an old video/post, but unfortunately, the Share Code (scspyec) doesn't work anymore since Volition permanently shut down the sharing servers.
I really want to recreate this character, but trying to guess the sliders just by looking at a single image is a nightmare. Does anyone happen to have saved this Boss back when the servers were active, or does anyone have screenshots/a list of the English sliders used to create her?
Any help, screenshots, or slider values (Head Preset, Eyes, Jaw, Nose, etc.) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!

SR2 Progression of my Playa
I gave him a long ponytail and unkempt facial hair and eyebrows due to the coma, and then when he got out he was wearing some random rags, then later some purple.
I then went on a long jewellery store raid across 4 different stores so that I could afford gold chains, more drip and a new car. Last 3 slides is how he looks after the jewellery stores and also the new car. I am very proud of how the final looks turned out.
This is probably my 5th time playing through this game but my first time on PC. I am using Juiced patch + Gentlemen of the Row mod. It runs so smooth and I love all of the new additions to the game.

SR4 Crazy how the “least saints row” saints row game. Has the most references, callbacks and respect for the history of the series.

This game has single-handedly taught me never to listen to the internet or accept any statement at face value. Get firsthand experience for yourself.
Most of the discourse surrounding this game consists of the same word-for-word statements being regurgitated over and over by people who seem to have formed their opinions entirely from what others have said and have never actually played the game themselves.

SR "My son is a loser"
This is a sentence an NPC randomly says in Santo Ellesso. Why did they include a line like that? It’s not funny; it feels like an insult to the players. I mean, the younger generation already faces enough economic and social hardships compared to previous generations—and this is a game aimed at that generation. I just don't understand what they were thinking.

General Could Saints Row work as a party-based RPG?
I had a thought this week about the franchise and if it were to be revived, what would it look like? Then I thought about how I've been into companion, choice-based RPGs lately and I wondered if Saints Row could pull it off. I use Saints Row specifically, because in today's landscape far as this subgenre, you're either in space (Mass Effect, Outer Worlds) or in a medieval fantasy setting (Dragon Age, Baldur's Gate 3). What about an RPG in a modern, urban setting? I feel like Saints Row already had the DNA to pull this off, as you would have companions like Shaundi and Pierce assist you in battle, you'd level up, you'd buy bigger and better weapons as you go along in the campaign etc. but what about going further and giving the player choices that actually affected the story?
One big criticism of today's RPG's is that they don't let you be truly evil and you don't get to experience the consequences of your choices. Well, in Saints Row, you're a gangster, you're not Mr./Ms. Goody Two Shoes to being with, so "bad" choices would be plentiful in a game like this.
If you wanted to add in romance and crew members liking/disliking you for your actions that's fine too.
It would also have to be in a serious tone. No bright colors or quirky characters. Gangs and organized crime has always been the dark underbelly of society and it needs to be presented as such.
Overall, I just wanted to bring forth a discussion piece about how to evolve the series. I see a franchise like God of War pivot to a more mature, narrative based game and I wonder if Saints Row could one day get that treatment.

SR4 Need help with modding SR4
I am new to modding in general, I know SR4 has several mods and I wanted to edit an outfit from the game.
I followed some guides in the Saints Row Mods website, and found the exact file and model I want to edit. I just want to remove the cape from an existing outfit, not add or remove anything from the game's wardrobe.
If anyone is experienced with modding outfits in SR4, could you guide me?
I imported the file in Blender through the custom import functions, deleted the cape objects, but don't know how to export the FBX into a file type compatible with the game. I am stuck at configuring materials for the outfit.

SR4 The Boss is back… from Steelport to the Simulation 👑 (Saints Row IV)
After finishing Saints Row 3 and sharing my Boss with this awesome community, I had to bring her into Saints Row IV. Thanks again for all the support on my last post — now it’s time to see what chaos she causes in the simulation
Photo 1 is where we left off from the saints row 3, 2nd is the boss continued in saints row 4 and the last 2 pictures are her current look.
