His model is great & him being essentially the rookie of Doc's heyday I thought was an interesting detail to just leave unexplored

Hired a guy to 3d print most of the town, or the buildings available. He then did Ramones from scratch. Still need Stanley’s (the one file available wasn’t a complete building) and the Courthouse. This guy was super reasonable and that seems to be lacking when it comes to this stuff. It’s the law of supply and demand, I suppose?

So.. here it is! Again.. still working on it and painting some stuff.

I was seaching online these days, and found this guy for a really cheap price, considering what I've seen before. Decided to buy him.

When he arrived, he was so dirty. I gave him a bath, and then painted the chips with a blue paint I had lying around.

He's pretty much brand new now. The blue doesn't match perfectly, but it's close enough for me.

Now I have the young versions of both Lightning and Mater

I'm answering a dumb question: yes, I made this post as an excuse to drop the template, because no one else had dropped it before. You're welcome, by the way.

The Cars franchise is one of the franchises i most love, i grew up with it and to this day have seen the whole franchise just about 200 times. It even made me shape my music taste (thank you heavy metal mater). needless to say, i love cars and it will forever be the best movie of all time.

After the events of Cars 3, Lightning McQueen no longer focuses on winning trophies. Instead, he spends his time training Cruz Ramirez in Radiator Springs.

McQueen has learned that being a legend is not about staying at the top forever, but about helping the next generation become better.

However, the racing world is about to change.

A New Era of Racing

A powerful company creates a new competition called the Speed Legends Challenge.

Unlike the Piston Cup, this tournament combines different types of racing:

Professional circuit racing.

Street racing techniques.

Drag racing.

The goal is to find the most complete racer in the world.

Many professional racers reject this idea.

They believe street racing has no place in real competition.

They say:

"Real racing is not about who is fastest for five seconds. Real racing is about controlling yourself for the entire track."

The Return of The Tuner Gang

Meanwhile, Boost, DJ, Wingo, and Snot Rod are still living in the world of car modifications.

When they hear about the new competition, they become interested.

Boost says:

"Finally, a race that respects pure speed."

They enter the competition, but immediately face criticism.

Professional racers see them as nothing more than reckless street cars.

The tuner gang quickly learns that speed alone is not enough.

They lose because:

They are too aggressive.

They waste too much power.

They don't understand professional racing strategy.

Lightning McQueen Meets The Tuner Gang Again

When McQueen hears that the tuner gang has joined the competition, he is surprised.

Mater reminds him:

"McQueen, are you sure you want to work with them? They were the ones who got you lost back then."

But McQueen understands something.

He remembers his own past.

He was once arrogant and believed he didn't need anyone's help.

McQueen says:

"I wasn't always the car I am today."

So he decides to give them a chance.

Training Together

McQueen teaches the tuner gang about professional racing:

How to take corners.

How to manage tires.

How to control their power.

How to work as a team.

Meanwhile, the tuner gang teaches McQueen and Cruz about their world:

Explosive acceleration.

Controlling extreme power.

Understanding aggressive racing styles.

Cruz begins combining two different worlds:

McQueen's racing experience + The tuner gang's street knowledge.

The New Rival

A new racer appears named Razor.

He is a former street racer who successfully entered professional racing.

But unlike the tuner gang, Razor rejects his past.

He believes street racing is beneath him.

He says:

"I escaped the streets. You are still playing with neon lights and noisy engines."

Razor is extremely fast.

He dominates drag races and is also skilled on professional tracks.

He becomes the biggest threat to everyone.

The Final Race

In the final race, Cruz faces Razor.

At the beginning, Cruz falls behind.

Razor's acceleration is too powerful.

But when the race reaches the corners, Cruz starts catching up.

Razor only trusts his speed.

Cruz uses everything she learned:

McQueen's experience.

The tuner gang's techniques.

Her own racing instincts.

In the final corner, Cruz finally passes Razor and wins.

The Ending

Razor finally understands his mistake.

He thought becoming a legend meant abandoning his past.

But his past was actually what made him unique.

The tuner gang finally earns respect.

They are no longer seen as troublemakers.

They prove that:

"Speed doesn't only come from the track."

Lightning McQueen watches Cruz celebrate.

He realizes something:

Doc Hudson once taught him how to become a champion.

Now, he is teaching the next generation how to love racing.

"Lightning Racers" isn't gonna be the first Cars project that is meant for little kids. Despite the fact the Cars movies are great for all the ages (equally enjoyable for both kids and adults), "Mater's Tall Tales" and "Cars On The Road" were obviously meant mostly for little kids, rather than adults. Both of these shows are way more childish than the movies, and definitely, they don't really have adults as their target audience.

However, even though "Mater's Tall Tales" and "Cars On The Road" were KIDS SHOWS made specifically FOR LITTLE KIDS, they never received the hate "Lightning Racers" has received. Quite the opposite, even adults seemed to like them. But Lightning Racers is probably gonna be something similar right? When it comes out, we might even find it more enjoyable to watch than Cars On The Road! So, what is going wrong?

I think you already know the answer, because it's pretty obvious. The animation style. You know how much the animation can affect the audience's point of view. Think about it. If Cars On The Road had that animation style, people would be calling it a baby show, just like they do with this one. But the fact they kept the original designs of the characters played a huge role on how people see it.

Now, I know Lightning Racers will obviously have little kids as the target audience. Many of you say that since the animation style it's about to have seems good for children, there's nothing wrong with it. But let me tell you this: I've been watching Cars since I was a kid. I loved the animation and the character designs, even as a very young kid. How about you? Didn't you like the animation as kids? And if you're parents, do you think the original designs aren't great for your kids?

Since I know the original designs can be loved from little kids too, I don't see the problem with keeping them for their next kids show. In fact, it would be positive, because even with the same plot, it would look more attractive to adults who grew up with Cars. Just like Cars On The Road. It was a pretty childish show, but adults mostly liked it. And since the Cars franchise was always a franchise that seemed equally enjoyable for kids and adults, I don't see why they would make it look so childish that adults just wouldn't be interested. That's what Lightning Racers is. It might be actually enjoyable for adults, just like Cars On The Road, but the "baby animation" ruins it.

That being said, if you guys are OK with the new show and you believe there's nothing wrong with it, I totally respect it. But for me, seeing the Cars franchise becoming like this is like seeing your favourite band returning after 20 years, playing a completely different music style than the one you loved them for, as if the members of the band have forgotten what made their music special.
