ATHLETICS Football/Soccer Student Support
Does anyone have any contacts or know the best way to work as a student to help out either the Pitt Football or Soccer teams for this upcoming season? Anything helps.

Have my schedule done, but considering switching my bio lec from 9am to 10am because I want more time to go to gym and condense my classes closer. But, i have a class at 11 . Is it possible? It would switch my proffesor from carol fortney to amber laperuta. And i have option to change music recitation so that won't be an issue.

I just received my diploma and had a few questions in case anyone knows the answers.
First, my diploma is huge compared to my sister’s from three years ago—it’s almost twice the size. It doesn’t fit in either the David C. Frederick Honors College diploma holder or the Business diploma holder I was given. Was the larger size intentional, or was there a change this year?
Second, for anyone in the College of Business Administration who completed a certificate program (like the Leadership & Ethics Certificate), did you receive a physical certificate, or is it only noted on your transcript?
Finally, I graduated from the David C. Frederick Honors College, but there’s no mention of the Honors College anywhere on my diploma. I was under the impression I’d be receiving an honors degree, so I expected it to be listed. Is this normal, or is the Honors College not included on Pitt diplomas?
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming PhD student at Pitt, and I’ve already been confirmed for a TAship. My funding letter says that the details of my first-year appointment will be provided in a separate letter.
I know the graduate union is currently bargaining with the university over stipend increases, so I was wondering when departments usually send out appointment letters with the final TA stipend information.
For current students, around what time of year did you receive yours? I’m trying to plan for my move and living expenses, so any insight would be really helpful. Thank you!

Do classes you receive AP credit for appear on your transcript? For example, for AP Chemistry, does credit for CHEM 0110 and CHEM 0120 appear on your transcript?

i'm an incoming freshman bio/english double major!
unfortunately, i had to get an advising meeting wayyyy late (2nd week of july) and as such i've ended up with very limited options in terms of my schedule. my advisor pushed academic communities pretty heavily as a way for me to get into a bio class, so i applied to join medical humanities, but it involves taking two classes that i do not want to take.
there is one open bio lecture, but it's at 6pm MonWedsFri. i will (hopefully - haven't gotten a permission # yet) be taking the EMT class tuesday & thursday at 6pm, so the 6pm bio would obviously be less than ideal and maybe kill my social life.
any thoughts/opinions from older pitt students? is this worth the trade off? i do have credits from ap bio, so theoretically i could skip foundations 1 and look for an open foundations 2, but i've been advised against that by a few different people since i'm thinking about going on the premed track.

As a graduate student living in Shadyside, with a 8-5 schedule most days. I do prefer earlier, how would the Pitt gyms be? Is it worth it bc im moving from oos and not sure the parking situation and how that all would be like. If you also live off campus what gym do you go to?

Does anyone know when we can sign up for meal plans? I thought it started already, but I can't find the forms anywhere.

I have a surgery I need to schedule while I am home this December. Unfortunately, the only days the surgeon is available is during finals week (the 4th or 7th). Is there any way to request early finals or an online exam? thx!

Does anyone know how I can get parking spots in the gold or green lots for the october 10th 2026 football game?
Basically what the title says. I’m a rising senior and I’m working on getting my application ready so I can submit it as soon as possible. Pitt is a school that I’d love to go to and I’m very excited about applying, but I would only go if I got accepted to the main campus (for a few reasons, mainly that the cost as an out of state student isn’t worth it to me and that the other campuses don’t have the opportunities I’m looking for). Is it still worth it to mark what other campuses I would prefer on the application in order to show my interest in Pitt as a whole? And if so, does it matter or can I just put them randomly?
Hi! I just wanted to post this out there, but I kinda want to make some friends, but somewhat struggling? I don’t really jive well with the clubs too much around campus and with a co-op rotation as well as having only 1 semester left, I’m stuck making only some friends in my major, which I want to branch out from. Some help/friendships would be lovely!

Anyone have any recommendations or advice on how to volunteer or shadow at pitt? Will probably wait a few months until i get settled into campus and the classes, but want to have some sort of place going into it (I'm a freshmen).

Hello - for the ship a Pitt program there aren’t details on dimensions for under bed storage drawers. Does anyone have links to storage (with wheels) that work as well as other essential items that is much easier to ship than pack? Just a little behind TY! :)

I got an email in late June letting me know that I’d be getting an email with a link to submit a photo for my student ID on July 1st. However, I still haven’t gotten an email. Is there anyone I should contact about this or should I keep waiting for an email? The due date is July 27th so I’m not sure 🤔
