Am I the only one?
Am I the only one who watches TV and eats pickles straight out of the jar?

What accounts for this difference in quality and how do I avoid this if I try to make my own pickles?

Besides making more pickles. I just tried mixing some into Dr Pepper with some ice and I was surprised how good it was. I’ve also tried pickle lemonade before and that was really good too. Anything else it goes really well with?

I dated a woman from Eastern Europe - got introduced to these. Always a nice treat with the tomatoes included. Had several different brands, from different international stores. A lot of brands used some sugar, so the hardest part for me was find a jar with no sugar.
Anyone else a fan or make their own pickled tomatoes.

It was an accident lol my fridge gets too cold along the wall of the freezer size. The pickles weren’t fully frozen so they were still nice and crunchy without being….flaccid. 9/10 would do again

These are so crispy and crunchy. 10/10 almost ate the whole bucket in one day.

Great crunch, good taste, needs more brine in the bag. What am I supposed to wash it down with water?? Thank goodness I had a second pickle.

What kind of pickles do they use? I need to know! I’ve been eating plenty of times and love their pickles. What do they use?

Hi
I’m so desperate
I am picky with my pickles
I found ONE pickle I like a LOT and that was the Vlasic Snack’mms Spicy Minis but alas… they have been ripped from me, torn from my grasp, as they have been discontinued.
I can’t find them anywhere, nor can I figure out why they’ve been discontinued. They were so good, I loved them, why would they do this to me? 😭
I’ve been trying various other spicy pickles, but none of them hit even close to the same or taste the same.
I haven’t been able to find one to replace it.
It’s very important they are the little whole baby pickles (gherkins?) with the same texture n same flavor as the spicy minis.
I am seeking you all in this Reddit to help me find a replacement or somehow have a way to explain to me, who has never made pickles, how to make them with a copycat recipe.
Please, I beg, it’s been probably months to a year now, I’m so sad, I miss my pickles.

We keep a 5-pound jar each of pickled eggs and pickled sausages at our bar. It's sort of classic bar food and inebriated patrons get a kick out of trying them. Anyway, it's time to buy more. Does anyone know of a good brand for those? Preferably one that offers them in similar large (5lb) containers?
We used to use Ipsi Specialty Foods, but I think they recently went out of business. Their number is disconnected, their web presence is gone, and their social media is stale.

His mother-in-law makes pickles from fresh garden cucumbers & dill every summer and I get to reap those rewards. We are truly a Pickle Family.

Here's hoping this event goes better this year.
Devil Dave, your products (especially the Pickle Crack) would be tremendously appreciated if you want to make the long trip down to TX. Lol

My tomato harvest from my balcony has been abundant this year. I decided to channel my Georgian (the country) ancestors and create delicious homemade pickles. Of course accompanied by fresh made dolmas, challah bread, potato carrot semolina cutlets and fresh stew from eggplants, tomatoes, garlic and peppers from my garden.
For pickling recipe:
2 liters of water
4 tablespoons salt
3 tablespoons white sugar
Handful of peppercorns
Handful of mustard seeds
Bay leaves
In the jar:
Fresh horseradish cut into sticks
Garlic
tomatoes
Dill
Parsley
3 to 4 cranberries (they give incredible tartness and aromatics)
