New here. So hi!
Pandora user for, idk, as long as I can remember. 7+ years minimum.
Last night as I'm working on my vehicle, listening to music.
Out of no where, these random voices come over the radio. An ad one would assume.
🤔
I go to investigate and possibly change the station after.
It's not an ad, it's a podcast...that's odd..
Pandora had changed my "shuffle" of all stations, to a podcast... I've never had that happen...
To boot, this podcast was no where close to any of the other podcasts I have listened to...it's labeled as science, (which I don't mind,) and mine were motivation/entrepreneur/business on this device and account...
2 weird things....ok.. let's figure it out.
This is a phone used for business.
Updated fully with Android 17 and all apps, security, and Google play up to date.
All possible, (user side) cross app tracking, ad ID removed, etc..including developer optionsm...
Bug reports, snoop logs, etc.. all information can gain, I SHOULD be able to read the script and find out...(even though I haven't yet.)
Paid security, private DNS with backups...etc...
Basically everything but a VPN, and not rooted, was in play...
So after 45 mins of research the only thing I, and multiple AI systems, could come up with was maybe, (no data to support;) ;)
-free ad watched upgrade, time limit expired (no I don't pay for Pandora as it's been getting worse with the repeats.)
-switched to a podcast. (I cannot find any data of this happening to anyone and never has for me)
-found a random podcast and played it, instead of any numerous ones I listen to..
⬆️THE KICKER and WHY BEHIND MY OVER EXPLAINING⬇️
-NAMED CRAZY TOWN
🤯 (If anyone is old enough, yeah the butterfly and sugar song 🫠🤣)
-Youtube music had just suggested the band Crazy Town merely hrs before, and I listened with nostalgia in my heart lol
- a variety of 10 songs played after on YouTube.
-device was disconnected from the aux, (literal 3.5mm with dongle type c)
-device in airplane, all signal gone.
(No Bluetooth, no wifi, no SIM, no GPS)
-left with the device, came back, started trial upgrade on Pandora.
-taylor, Lana, 2 other songs, Skip, tech n9ne...
-preview ends.
-change to podcast "Crazy Town.
- YouTube music and Pandora shared a common email address server side?
OR
- Remote access prank?
OR
-Complete coincidence of Pandora glitching "auto-play" mixed with Bluetooth, mixed with car play? ...causing cache from YTM to share a suggested title/server side share, and Pandora opening a podcast,( while playing music,)
titled Crazy Town?
Or
-no share of information happened, complete coincidence.... and I'm on some sort of schizo, drug induced psychosis? With evidence?
🤣
My apologies...
But,
I'm at a loss...
I have weird things, "coincidences" or "oddities" as I call them, happen all the time....to the point some think I'm paranoid.
Logical thinking, slight technical knowledge, tells me otherwise.... (That's besides the point here lol.)
I'm trying to figure this one out...(8+hrs invested.)
I once spent 2hrs and almost believed a 1 -in- a- billion chance a new screen caused an issue, it was just a screensaver.
Anyone have verified possibilities?
Remote access prank from a friend would show search results.. but that's more believable than this miracle. Lol
🤷🏼♂️
