FYI to the protesters at Whipple
You may not be aware, but the VA has forced all of its employees back to the office at the Whipple building as of last week.
Please consider this as you protest: the VA employees don't want to be there and many of them may very well agree with you. Harassing and photographing them is making their lives measurably worse.

What can we do to get our tax dollars worth out of MPD?
TLDR: can we outfit MPD with those grabber thingies and garbage bags so they can pick up trash while they’re sitting all day to actually help the community that is paying their high salaries?
____
We’ve had cop(s) sitting for at least 3 weeks “watching” construction in our neighborhood Phillips I see them 3 times a day while I walk my dog. The most activity I see them do is either standing at the construction fence talking with construction workers or using their portapotty. This neighborhood has a guy who walks his cat and around 3 toddlers playing just feet away. So there is no need to have MPD watching construction workers. There is no danger.
I have seen this happening across the city for years and it seems like if we’re paying MPD $100,000 plus a year in salary, the least they could do is pick trash while they’re sitting burning gas in their squad for 8 hours every day.

Home delivery for seniors?
I’m thinking of starting a self employment venture with the focus on home delivery of good for seniors. I know Door Dash and Instacart exist, but I feel like older adults aren’t comfortable with the technology or rotating strangers entering their space.
Does anyone use this type of service currently and what are you paying? If not do you have or see a need?

Bina’s Burger (Lunch Special) from Bina’s over on Quincy Street right along the Route 11 bus and not too far from the Great Northern Greenway
Also just a 7 minute walk to the Route 17 and 30.
Burger itself was 12 dollars, and fries were 2 dollars extra
Edit: I meant to say right along the Route 10 bus, not 11

Best way to show visiting friends the amazing bike infrastructure?
I only have a bike for myself, and we don't have any cheap bike hub stations here. Lyft/Lime bikes and scooters get expensive so quickly, seems like rentals also get pricy. But our trails are so dope, I want to show them around. How do you do it?

Anyone have experience bringing their compact cameras to Target Center for concerts?
Going to Olivia Dean next week and wanting to bring my Fujifilm x100v, does anyone have any experience with bringing compact cameras in? Target Center website just says obviously no professional gear but I know some venues can still be iffy about compact cameras and I’ve got turned away at other venues recently and haven’t been to Target Center in a long time. Thanks!

In-home hair stylist and nail person ? (Elder with mobility impairments.)
As the title says--I am trying to line up an in-home hair stylist and nail person for an older woman I know (in her 90s) who has significant mobility impairments and cannot easily leave home. Her family have not been able to find people to do this after looking for a while. If you know of someone let me know & I'll pass the info on.

Soon to be Transplant
Looking for advice on an ebike in general. I will not be buying a car immediately and am wanting a decent bike for snow. I’m from Florida and all I have to worry about here is rain.
Also any advice on keeping my bike. Should I compromise for something portable over something sturdy? I know ideally it would be best to physically take it with me, but that will not always be an option, less likely if it’s large and sturdy. I’m pretty short at 5’2” if that makes a difference.
Tired of Florida and have fallen in love with Minneapolis and its culture.
Trying to not make this too long, willing to answer questions in comments. Thanks in advance!
