Green laser pen will burn out the sensor, if TikTok rumors can be believed.

Note: If someone with more physics could confirm or debunk, I would not be offended to learn that I am wrong.

This is valid and cheap green lasers are easy to aquire nowadays.

Dude I found one that has a key to turn it on and off and the distance it goes is insane. I try not to break it out and play with it because I feel like the FAA is going to show up at my house

This is misinformation that I keep seeing spread and I swear it was started by Flock themselves so that people don't actually destroy their cameras. To destroy a camera sensor with a laser you need a very strong laser (stronger than most green lasers you'd find on Amazon) and you need to leave it trained precisely on the camera lens for like 10 minutes without moving, from a distance of like 10ft or less.

Depends entirely on the camera and the laser.

Not sure about modern phone cameras today, but at a concert with a laser show, a direct hit on your phone camera for even a millisecond was enough to fry it.
