After seeing the disgusting behaviour from the Argentines at the WC (and all WCs obviously), it amazes me how Bielsa seems to be the absolute antithesis of the Argentine football culture. Modest, self-effacing, sportsmanlike (Villa game). I wonder how and why he's such an outlier. Was he snuck over the border at birth?

Whenever I get myself into a lather about the Argies, I remember Marcelo and calm down again.

Ampadu and Stach have genuinely been solid this season and get almost no credit for it nationally. Meanwhile every conversation about Leeds is about the goals we are not scoring and the winless run rather than the fact we have kept three clean sheets on the spin. Not saying we are fine because we clearly are not, but there is a version of this squad that is better than the table suggests and a version that gets relegated. The summer window decides which one we actually are ?

He's been phenomenal this world cup. I don't remember any hint of this when he was on loan to us - anyone else?

Passion project — I've been building a visualization of every English club's whole history through the four divisions, and I wanted Leeds checked by people who actually lived it.

The line is Leeds' overall position across the entire pyramid each season, so the top band is the top flight and the bottom is the fourth tier, with the shaded bands marking the division. You can see the Revie years, the '92 title, the Champions League run, the financial implosion and the drop to League One, the long Championship exile, and Bielsa.

Two things I'd love help with. First, the annotated moments: right ones? Anything phrased wrong or missing? A chart of league positions doesn't obviously show the stuff that actually mattered to Leeds fans, so tell me what belongs. Second, anything factually off: I built this from historical league tables, so if a season looks wrong, shout.

There seem to have been a lot of announcements about young players signing pro contracts etc. this summer; I don't remember seeing this number of posts in past years.

Any ideas as to why we're getting so many this year? World Cup going on so trying to keep the team relevant during the competition? Lack of other content? Restocking the U21s after most of the Orta-era restock/throw stuff at the wall moves have ended? Or are some of these hoped to be more likely to make it?

Just curious why we've had so many of these announced this year.

I look at this everyday and wonder, if I should leave it as a memory or take it down. Thoughts?

Update: I was never taking it down, just JKA staring at me everyday has ben tough. Legendary season from game one.
