stainless steel juicer anyone recommend one that is worth nowadays?

i've been juicing more often lately because im trying to get more fruits and veggies into my mornings, and my current machine has way too many plastic parts that are starting to show wear. I'd really like to switch to something that feels a bit more solid.

has anyone here been using one for a while and been happy with it? I'm mostly juicing carrots, celery, apples, and sometimes beets. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

best cold press juicer what should I upgrade to after using a basic juicer?

I’ve been using a pretty basic juicer for a while now and I feel like I’m ready to move up to something better. I juice a few times a week, mostly fruits and veggies with some leafy greens, but my current one struggles a bit and takes more effort to clean than I’d like. I’m looking for a solid upgrade that will last and actually improve the juicing experience. What best cold press juicer models have been worth the jump for you, and is there anything you wish you knew before upgrading? Thanks for any advice.

Do you clean, peel, and trim your carrots before juicing?

I just ordered a fresh pressed carrot juice from a local shop, and the woman took the carrots straight from the plastic bag (like a standard large grocery store bag of carrots). She didn’t rinse, peel, or even trim off the nasty tops. There are some black bits floating on the top of my juice and I’m not sure if I’m overly uptight or if that was legit gross.

This one is some industrial thing, which I usually try to avoid, so I thought I wouldn't like it, but the flavor was amazing, I really enjoyed it. Have you ever tried it?

Does anybody feel better juicing than eating whole fruit?

I use a Pure Juicer so the vast majority of fiber is removed and I feel much better than I would eating fruit. Not sure why, but I feel best on just juice and meat.

Would juice yield calculator actually be useful?

I have been building out a set of free tools for different cooking conversions and one tool I built was a juice yield calculator.

With the tool you set your blender % and it tells you how many apples / grams / cups / etc you need. Base on some of the posts on here I have added some less common items like radishes, bell peppers and sweet potatoes.

Curious to know if this solves a real problem or not. Do you usually plan your juices first or just work with what you have?

High-volume juicer recommendations

Hi! I'm not into juicing as a diet or health thing, so I don't use a juicer on a daily basis, or know much about 'em. However, I have the world's biggest apple tree. (No, seriously. I can't wrap my arms around the trunk.) It produces roughly 300 pounds of apples every year, and I give a ton away, juicing or dehydrating most of the rest.

For years, I was just using the old centrifugal juicer we had when I was a kid, but the motor finally gave up the ghost, and now I'm looking for a replacement, and I figure that this community is the best place to ask for recommendations.

I need a decent-sized opening, and it needs to be able to either hold a LOT of material, or run fairly constantly for 2-3 hours at a time. I won't be breaking it down constantly, just giving it a quick clean daily, or a full cleaning before stowing it away (or if I'm waiting for the next batch of apples to ripen), so it doesn't need to be super-easy to clean. I don't care if some pulp gets through; I don't want applesauce, but some solids are... actually kind of nice, in my opinion.

Most of the juice is getting canned, so shelf-life in the fridge isn't terribly important. Or maybe it is; if I'm wrong on that, please let me know! I like learning. :)

And reasonably quiet is a plus--but even more than that, I'm looking for one that won't vibrate like crazy if it's got a bunch of apple peel and pulp in it. The old centrifugal one was notorious for that, so much so that I'd actually take it outside and run it with an extension cord, just so it wouldn't shake the windows in the kitchen. I don't mind wearing earplugs if I gotta, but it *would* be nice to stay indoors!

Alright! I think that's all the pertinent stuff. I know it was kind of long, so I appreciate your reading and any help you can give me! Thanks!

The level of zen I surmounted whilst juicing today equated to a Tibetan monk atop a vast mountain hill surrounded in wispy fog during the early hours of a crisp morning meditation. Today's unplanned blends include:

Green: cucumber, cilantro, parsley, fennel, kale, kiwi, green bell pepper, lemon, apple, ginger

Orange: carrot, tomato, kiwi, turmeric, orange, lemon, apple, ginger

Happy juicing! 💚🧡💚🧡💚🧡

Market Research!

Hey all, I am in the very early stages of launching a raw cold pressed brand and I am looking for some help.

If you have one minute to spare I would love to know:

- What are your top two favorite juices to drink? I do not need the exact recipe just the ingredients for each (example - Apple, Beet, Carrot & Green Apple, Pineapple and Cucumber)

- If you only had two choices to describe your consistent juice drinking history - “New to Juicing” or “Veteran Juice Drinker” which would you choose? No right or wrong answer here just seeing how you classify yourself is all.

At this stage, answers to these two questions will help us out tremendously. I have nothing to offer you besides my gratitude. I will however refer back to this post once we launch for something special for those who helped.

Looking forward to being in this group and sharing the journey!

best cold press juicer for someone just getting into juicing?

I've been making smoothies for a while but I want to start juicing more vegetables and fruit instead. There are so many options that I'm not sure what's actually worth getting.

If you've been using one for a while, what would you recommend and is there anything you wish you knew before buying? Thanks.

This morning garden fresh juice! So good.

I made juice from my garden beets, cucumber, carrots and I added 4 red cherries and 1 tangerine from the market. I added a cup of water put all in the blender and stained. A tall glass filled with ice. Yummy. Anyone else have a favorite garden juice recipe?

best cold press juicer that is easy to clean?

I enjoy making fresh juice in the mornings, but cleaning my current juicer takes almost as long as making the juice. It’s making me use it less often, which is frustrating because I actually like having fresh juice at home.

I’m searching for a best cold press juicer that doesn’t feel like a chore to wash after every use. Are there any models you’ve stuck with because they are simple to clean? Thank you!

Friends, how are we dealing with the cyclospora outbreak? (USA)

I don’t want to stop juicing. But I’m a little concerned about the current outbreak. Thinking to avoid bagged greens, berries, and herbs. But I love basil and blueberries sooo much. I wash my produce in theives, but might start washing in ACV and baking soda. Anyone else taking precautions?

Wheatgrass juicer

I love and always use my ss hand crank. But this morning i tried it my cold press slow masticating juicer and it DOES NOT work like all the info out there saying it will. Granted my juicer isn’t built for wheatgrass, it’s pretty heavy duty but I read a ton of info saying any cold press slow masticating will do the job. Well it definitely doesn’t! Said all that to ask what electric juicer is everyone using for their wheatgrass without breaking the bank? TIA🙏

Is anyone on a juicing pause?

Due to the cyclopsora outbreak.. what are you guys avoiding? What are you still juicing? I bought tons of greens recently and now hesitant to consume these uncooked. I know things with external layers and peels are safer (beets, oranges etc). I’m also immunocompromised so am acting a bit more cautious than normal.

the cost of juicing?

Is anyone else (northeast USA) finding juicing has become quite costly? A pineapple is 8.99 in the grocery store for example. Beets - small local farmer charging 5 for a bunch of 5 very small beets - some smaller than a small egg. Lemons 99 cents each.
