The medical part, THC gets you high, CBD is pain/anxiety/stress relief.

Technically thc has those effects too IME. My pain sensitivity noticeably goes down a ton when im really high. But cbd won’t get u euphoric like thc does

CBD is more known for its potential medical effects because it doesn't get you high and works better for certain conditions, but THC also has medicinal properties it's just more known for getting you high.
