As others have said, different types/sects of Amish and Mennonite have different rules regarding technology. I’ll also add that some of them make a distinction between technology used for work and that used for personal use — allowing their businesses to use refrigerators, for example, while prohibiting them at home.
Seen one video a guy doing a tour of a Amish community and he seen a girl flying down a dirt road on an electric bike and asked the guy how that is possible with no electricity and he said as long as it is solar it is allowed in some Amish communities.
I worked with a guy once who was the tractor mechanic for the local Mennonite farms. We would be at work and he would get a call and we would button up the shop a little earlier than normal so he could rush over and fix their tractor sitting dead in the field before it got dark. Old tractors break down quite often and I guess they paid him top dollar since he was basically on call at all times.
The amount of equipment needed to either gather enough delta8 from an entire field of hemp plants, or convert CBD, is not some simple refrigeration hack or small time chemical reactions. Read up about how much Delta-8 is in a plant and what equipment is needed for either conversion or isolation.
An acid bath, heating, and rinse will convert most delta-9 to delta-8, but most of it in extracts and edibles is made from CBD, which is a more complicated but less potentially perilous process.
