Hi all! I'm making a lil playlist of indie pop, spanning bedroom pop (Clairo, hers style) to more rocky indie pop too, it's on yt and Spotify.

Pls recommend me songs to add, or your own!

I am an indie artist and Björk's music is a huge influence. Also, I have always enjoyed singing her songs. This is an acapella I've made a while ago. Hope you like it!

New Release London (U.K.) indie post punk pop band looking for a drummer

Hey everyone,

My band are looking for a drummer.

We are influenced by bands such as The Smiths, early New Order, The Drums, early The Strokes, early Morrissey, The La's, The Fall, Iceage, The Cure and other bands.

The project consists of myself (vocalist), guitarist and a bassist at the moment. We've recorded some rough scratch demos of songs that we can send you. We all have experience writing songs and playing in bands. We are committed to having fun writing songs, recording and playing shows.

We have been rehearsing weekly in Deptford so far.

Get in touch if you're interested. Please have recordings or a video of you playing when you get in touch as that will be very helpful. If you can’t direct message me, comment below and I will message you.

Thanks

Fresh off a June album release, English singer-songwriter Fink brings his genre-blending and otherworldly soundscapes to the LPR stage on 8.05. His latest release, The City Is Coming To Erase It All, proves to be a culmination of decades honing in on an utterly entrancing, yet vulnerable sound. With a reputation that precedes him, Fink brings totality to his live performances, weaving in intimate moments with true mystical immersiveness.

Experience the entrancing nature of Fink live this August. Grab your tickets now! https://kyd.to/lm6Gpz8a

Spotify Some wistful indie pop for your Wednesday

I (Thornback) recently put out this track 'Blur' which is a really low-key indie pop/singer-songwriter track. I wrote it about feeling stuck ruminating about the past, maybe it will resonate with you? https://open.spotify.com/track/0UJGTmmwHpfd7s8Eysie54?si=4232fdcc12b045e7

Discussion Thoughts?

Discussion Is "I knew them before they were famous" a real thing, or am I just weird?

I realized one of my favorite parts of listening to music isn't just finding songs I like—it's finding artists before everyone else seems to know them.

I've had a few moments where someone I started listening to years ago suddenly became huge, and honestly it feels almost as satisfying as discovering them in the first place.

I'm curious if other people feel this too.

Do you actively try to find artists before they blow up, or does it just happen naturally?

Have you ever looked back and thought, "I can't believe I found them that early"?

Or am I just romanticizing it?
