Finally decided to start my first project by bringing back to life my father's CB400F from 1976 (EU).

He's the second owner and it has been sitting in a garage for the last 18 years...

Already have a step by step program, but any advice is welcome!

I'm taking delivery of my Honda CB350 in just 3 days, and I honestly can't wait. This is going to be my first motorcycle, so I'm excited but also a bit nervous.

I've watched countless reviews and videos, but I know real ownership experience is way more valuable than YouTube opinions. So I'd love to hear from people who've actually lived with this bike.

A few things I'd love your advice on:

What are the must-know things before taking delivery?

Any PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) checklist items I shouldn't miss?

What's the ideal way to break in the engine?

Any common issues or quirks I should keep an eye on?

Things you wish someone had told you when you bought yours?

Service schedule tips or things to specifically ask the service center to check?

Best practices for chain cleaning/lubing, washing, and general maintenance?

Fuel recommendations, tyre pressure, battery care, and storage tips?

Any useful accessories that are actually worth buying (and any that aren't)?

Do's and don'ts for a new rider on this bike?

Riding tips that make ownership smoother or more enjoyable?

I'd also love to know how you personally take care of your CB350. Are you someone who:

Washes it every weekend?

Uses wax or ceramic coating?

Covers it daily?

So i want to buy honda cb350 hness as my first bike but the problem is there is no bigwig showroom near me i want to know is there other way can i get honda hness and if there is a way do i have to go specially to honda bigwig service centre for services aur regular honda service will do the work without voiding the warranty.

I really like the hness and i want to own one but these doubts are i have in mind.

I wanted the hness because of best engine i heard about and RE is become so common (not saying RE is bad please don't take it wrong way RE owner).

The Honda 919 is a timeless design.

Hey guys, I bought a 1984 Honda CB450 last week as my first bike (mainly for training and practicing). When I first got it, the bike started and ran fine. The seller even rode it to my place, and I was able to ride it into my basement garage.

However, today I tried starting it and it won’t start. When I press the start button, all the lights turn off, but they come back on as soon as I release the button.

I checked the battery voltage with a multimeter, and it reads 12.75V.

I would really appreciate any advice on what I should check or try before taking it to a mechanic. Thank you!

One my CBF´s from a couple of years back, fun bike.

Hey guys. I just got this old 1968 Honda CB 250. From some research, it appears to be a model sold in Germany.

The previous owner removed the headlight and disconnected a bunch of wires.

I'm a bit at a loss. It has been messed with previously as far as I can tell. I have spark in the plugs and the horn works. Tail light also works. Eletric starter does nothing, same for the blinkers and stuff like that.

This one has a weird switch on the top of the headlight case. From what I read, it is a on/off/park switch, but i'm not sure. handlebar switch only has low/high beams.

Any one has some information for me to guide myself through? The cables have been messed with, so it's kinda hard...

I’ve heard the two cylinder, 1970’s CBs can be problematic while the fours are more reliable. I figured the opposite would have been true. Just looking for some opinions from people who have owned a few of these bikes. Thank you

Honda Hornet 600 fuel consumption

Just bought my first bike. Hornet 600 2009 - and first of all, I must say, I love this bike!

Had 4 rides so far and noticed something I am not sure if I should be concerned about.

The fuel tank was full before my first ride and after 3 rides (almost 50 km), the fuel level indicator showed I had around half of the tank left. I went to the gas station to make sure the sensor wasn't lying, but it genuinely fit 8.5 liters of fuel.

Is this normal fuel consumption for this bike, considering the fact it was neither city riding, nor did I go above 70 km/h at any point?

Hey guys! Pic is for attention and is the condition in which I purchased the bike. I’m going for a ground up rebuild because previous owner did an awful job.

While fixing everything mechanically, I’ve run into a problem. Bike idles and runs great until it gets up to tempt. Once riding for a while, the bike starts cutting out and eventually dies altogether. It will restart sometimes but to get it to restart successfully after that, I have to wait until the bike cools off a lot. I have 120/40 jets in it. Pod filters and 4 into 1 delkevic exhaust. I don’t think it’s a fueling issue considering it’s only whenever the bike has been ridden for a while and everyone with similar setups has the same jet sizes if not larger. It seems more like a weak spark not allowing all of the fuel to be consumed.

The speedometer on my new 1977 CB550 goes absolutely wild on speeds above 50mph, bouncing like crazy.

I bought a new speedo cable and, when attempting to replace it, the screw on the speedo drive is soft as butter and significantly stripped already. Very stuck. I carefully sprayed some lube and let it sit overnight but nothing.

Having found the lovely Honda CB community here, I'd like to know what my options are. Do I need a full speedo drive unit? Does anyone know the exact type of screw? Or perhaps a little trick to get it out if anyone has been in a similar situation.

As my shopping days get closer im focusing in the Honda CB300 or CB500 as my first bike. I was hoping to sit in saddles today, but I'm stuck on the bus ;_;

Assuming I'm willing to pay to eat the difference in cost/insurance, is there a noticeable functionable change between a 2015ish CB300F and a more 2020s CB300R?
For the 300s I know there is slight difference in curb weight and the 2015 model has a larger fuel tank. Otherwise, I'm not versed enough to know the difference yet.

Same question for a 2014 CB500f and a 2026 CB500f?

I am like 1 week from my course and less than a month from purchase. I can't think of a good reason to go new. I can think of a bad one (color preference). I am so ready y'all! So stoked!

(In case it matters, 5'6 rider, 30" pants inseam, and I'm about 170 pounds. Goals are mostly a very short commute but some day long rides of about 120 miles in the next 6 months)

Edit: i found a used 2024 cb300r and I think im gonna get it! (10,000 miles just slightly more cost than the 2015 300fs)

I never really got to choose my own car or bicycle color, so I'm kinda giddy about getting to choose for myself. I know the advice is go slightly older but I like this one!

Picked up this 1980 CB750 back in May, and thanks to all of you here, I was able to get it back up and running. Finally got new tires put on it on Friday, and got around 100 miles under my belt this weekend.

Seriously, thank you all for answering my dumb questions and giving me pointers along the way. I wouldn’t be riding right now without y’all!

I'm away from home for work and haven't been in the saddle for a couple of months now.

Back home I have a 2019 CB1000r and alongside it a 2016 CB150r.

Both CBs, both city bikes with a lot similarities but one big difference in displacement. Love em both to bits and I'm looking forward to handing both off to grandkids at some point down the road.

The 1000 is a monster and the 150 is dressed like a monster with the manners of a puppy. Though there is something the smaller has that the other could only dream of. A kick start. Gotta love a Honda with a kick starter.

My CB900F has been sitting dormant for over two years, and I already know the issue is with the transmission. With around 60,000 miles on the engine, I don’t want to keep putting more money into this motor and would rather swap in another engine.

I’m based in North America and will be heading from Maine down to the South, then continuing west through Texas along the coast. I’m mainly looking for an engine along this route since I’ll already be driving through these areas and can pick one up if the right one comes up.

If anyone knows of a shop, parts supplier, salvage yard, or someone with a spare CB900F engine with good compression along this route, I’d really appreciate any leads or recommendations. Thanks in advance!
