Anyone upgraded their stock reflector housing and fogs in their n70 with leds? H4 and H11. Any recommendations? Brand, lumens etc.

Have this sound when turning the fan on, it doesn’t happen when it’s on the lowest setting, I have pulled out the glove box and checked the filter and there was no sticks or leaves in there, any ideas what this could be? Thanks

What would need to be done to fit genuine n80 tray onto n70 chassis?

1991 Toyota truck 3.0 4x4 extra cab with power windows.
Driver’s window goes up and down without issue.
No control for the passenger window from the driver's switch.
The passenger window can go up, but will not go down using the switch. But it can go both ways if I apply power and ground to each wire separately.
Constant power is present on both leads going into the passenger motor, except when it is going up. Then a ground is added, of course, and it goes right on up. But the switch is not applying ground to the other wire to lower the window.
Both door locks work from the driver's- and passenger-side controls. Power mirrors are no longer hooked up. Interior door panel lights are not hooked up.
Both the master window switch and the passenger switch are new.
No observable wire damage to this 100K-mile truck.
Any ideas where to go next? Thanks.

Hey lads, I've got a 2kd (2.5L) 2010 Hilux with 226000 ks and there is just oil leaking from everywhere, initially I thought it was just the valve cover leaking but I noticed a spot on the drive way and got under it to find whole transmission is soaked, I also stuck my finger in the hole in the bell housing and there is also an oily gritty sludge in there also. I have two other Hilux, one at around 400,000 and the other at 500,000ks which are both spotless. I'm thinking that the crankcase ventilation or it's oil seperator in the valve cover might be gummed up causing the pressure to build and forcing oil out through all the seals. However I'm no mechanic and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and whether or not my hypothesis is correct. Cheers

Should I get manual or automatic?
My user case would be 50% highway rides, 25% city with bumper to bumper traffic and 25% unpaved muddy roads where it rains a lot

I recently got a sweet deal on an intercooler and 4” straight pipe exhaust for my 1KD D4D Hilux.
I already have a stainless steel cold air intake. Stock airbox but k&n air filter. No tune. No egr blank. Everything is stock.
I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience running bolt on mods like front mount intercooler and 4” exhaust with stock ecu. Can better fuel economy be gained? Any difference in throttle response? Or is the only way to tap into the benefits of this hardware is to do a tune?

Is this undercarriage rust a concern?
I know nothing about where rust should and shouldn’t be under a car - see pictures

I didn't like the way my phone sloshed around in the tray when connected via USB for Android Auto, so I designed this phone holder that mounts using the two 12V sockets and rotates the phone in and out so that the catchall tray below is still usable.

Only happens once reaching a certain temp, assume it's during the dpf cycle but should the dpf burn dump so much white smoke? Any advice on what might be happening.

Hi All!
I might be getting this diesel rhd 95 Hilux Surf on Monday after it passes my diesel mechanics inspection. I’m looking for replacement headlights and tail lights because I can’t stand the white and want something darker and it doesn’t have what would have probably been the chrome running boards either.
I’m having a hell of a time finding new lights++ for it. Any suggestions where I might find some? This isn’t a done deal yet and I haven’t test driven it yet because I don’t want to get my heart broken if the mechanics say it’s not worth it. But my god please say a prayer for me.

Morning all looking to buy my first car and my search has led me to wanting a hilux, however I’m not too sure whether to get an N80 or an N70 as I’ve heard good and bad abt both, I’m looking for a car under $27-28k range and was wondering what’s the better buy, cheers

Hey guys,
I’ve got a 2024 SR5 and I’m putting 285/70r/17 Falken Wildpeaks with 17x9 +12 ROH Assaults.
The car has a bull bar on it with 2inch of lift.
Realistically how much cutting of the guards would need to be done for minimal to no scrub.
Thank you

I’ve got a 2021 sr5 and I’m getting a 2inch lift junkie bilstein kit I’m thinking of getting 0-20kg rate in the front and 0-200kg in the rear, I’ve been told to go 0-60kg in the front to help the nose dive look and make it more balanced, is this true? I’m not going to be adding any front accessories maybe a light nudge bar

I'm looking at buying a used hilux. Got a budget of around 8 to 9k. Will be mostly used as a family vehicle, weekend adventure and occasionally used to shift gear. Anything I need to look out for apart from rust and service history? Any and all tips would be appreciated, thanks!

Right lads and lasses, so I'll be moving to Australia fall 2027 and was looking at buying a Hilux pretty quickly after moving.
My question; do the newer models have more issues than the older Gen Hilux's? I know overall they are coveted vehicles and have proved their worth 3 times over, very similar to the Tacoma's here in North America that I'd be used to. But do the newer ones have random electrical issues and what not compared to the ones from 15 years ago?
I see all the latest models don't even come in gasser options anymore, just that baby 2.7 diesel engine.
Should I steer clear of the newest ones? I'm a heavy equipment mechanic by trade so I have the skillset needed to keep an older truck running, was just curious if the new ones were decent enough to buy instead of keeping an older one going. That would be one less thing to deal with after moving across the globe.
Alternatively would any of ye suggest a different vehicle? Australia has a pretty different car market from North America. I don't necessarily want a full sized truck, I just want space to do stuff like go mountain biking, hiking/camping, dirtbiking. In which case yes a Rav4 or Landcruiser would suffice. I just like the hilux🤷♂️. I'm open to options and I'm not super brand loyal, I just like Toyota overall but thats not a constraint.
Whats your thoughts?

Gday, I’m hoping to get some advice on how to go about dealing with a few rust issues on my Toyota hilux? Any advice on fixing up the peeling on the roof would also be much appreciated. Cheers!
