Just dug up this photo and it's so hilarious to me.

I remember the teachers guiding us thought it was odd and were trying to nudge us to take the team in a different direction, but we wouldn't compromise. So they let us have creative control and we designed the shirts on CustomInk and everything lol. We placed 3rd.

No I don't have the shirt anymore but I so wish that I did.

Went to the Cincinnati Zoo to see it. As you can see, the door from the famous video is still there exactly as it was. The water in Gorilla World has since been drained. The entire thing is covered up by very intentionally planted bushes in the precise spot where the original video was shot. You can't see it from there unless you had a really long tripod. It can only be viewed from a far vertical angle. Sadly, it is very swept under the rug with a somber plaque that doesn't quite do him justice in my opinion. Anyway, piece of Internet history today I hope you enjoy.

Today, May 28th is a day to remember our Lord and Savior Harambe who died for our sins at the Cincinnati Zoo on May 28, 2016 and today marks the 10 year anniversary of this tragedy and I ask that you treat this day with respect. We will always remember him in our hearts. מי ייתן וינוח על משכבו בשלום

On this holy day, one sordid decade ago, we lost our beloved Prince of the Western Lowland. Today, whip out your phallus and wave it proudly in honor of the Great Silverback for which we owe it all. Though these last ten years have been far from ideal, Harambe’s death directed us on a path we may never truly understand, for those things are his alone to know.

Join me in solemn remembrance of our Honored Ape. Beat your chests in solidarity. Whip out your phallus in pride. Eat bananas in rage for what they did to him. Practice Harambism in the face of seemingly insurmountable opposition.
