Hey now.

It amazes me that as long as I've been a deadhead, I've never given this album a listen until now. I knew Bobby did some solo stuff throughout the years, but did not know until recently that he was backed by the full Grateful Dead on this album.

I was particularly stoked to hear "Cassidy," a song I'd previously thought was never played by the band in the studio.

this is my view while i’m listening to 5/3/72 L’Olympia Paris after riding my bike up Alpe D’Huez.

after a beer and a half and some cigarettes it is occurring to me that this band is the greatest musical act of all time by an unfathomably large margin.

so many artists speak to me as a person but the grateful dead is something else entirely. it’s an unexplainable connection to my soul that, in layman’s terms, is pure bliss.

I am extremely grateful (no pun intended) that this band exists for me and everyone else that is on this silly whimsical journey.

Next time you see me is playing right now, one of my favorite pigpen tunes.

So it was a cool collaboration of our two favorites, it says "eternal love, justice, and adventure" It was the last painting she ever made before passing away. Bob Weir.. I have never thought of him as Bobby Weir in my entire relationship with this band since I first saw them in 1973. .. nor have I ever thought of him as Robert Weir (in case you were wondering). 💀

I wanted to make another post to thank you all for responding to my post 5 months ago when my dad had passed away. a lot of you had recommended me listening to "box of rain", and let me tell you, i listen to this song every single day on my way to work. i feel like my dad is right there with me each and every time. i found out that was one of his favorite songs and i dont know how i didnt know this before because i feel goosebumps every time i listen but i just am so thankful for all who commented on that post.

im currently working on his memorial cards and i wanted to share them with you all. he loved the grateful dead, traveled all over to see them play. he had their comics, saved articles from the newspaper, keychains, stickers, original framed art, the jerry doll (my personal childhood favorite). i will forever miss my daddy but you guys really truly made me feel so supported with those small comments during a time i was hurting so badly.
