Give Feedback:

Posting feedback or complaints on the subreddit is not the best way to get the attention of the developers. If you have any specific feedback to give, you can email the CS2 Development team here: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])
They do read every email received, but are not able to reply to each one.
If you're experiencing low-quality matches, it is always worth emailing them. They use these reports to help improve the system.

Report Cheaters:

Report cheaters using the in-game report system by right-clicking their name on the scoreboard, and clicking "report". If the game is over, report their Steam Community profile.
If you notice certain trends or have other feedback, you can email the developers using the email address above.
To report a specific cheat, follow these steps to notify the VAC development team.

While we encourage discussion about these topics, as a reminder, the following are not allowed. Note this isn't an exhaustive list, and you should review the r/GlobalOffensive Rules before commenting.

Accusations towards any player related to cheating
Posting profiles of alleged cheaters (if posting pictures of matches, redact any usernames)
Posting any cheating gameplay footage
Reporting cheats, linking to cheats/websites, or discussing cheats in technical detail

This weekly discussion thread does not change any of our existing submission rules - you're still allowed to discuss these topics elsewhere on the subreddit as usual, but we do remove a large number of them as they quickly become repetitive and the majority have little meaningful discussion. If you decide to make a separate post instead of utilizing this thread, we encourage you to focus on starting meaningful discussion or providing constructive criticism.

OC MS Paint cs_office (with a mouse)

This map gets me so nostalgic

I spent my teens in the mid 00's playing this constantly, so I wanted to celebrate it in my art style

MS Paint is my usual tool, and feels suitable 00s enough, while adding a touch of silliness - quite characterful of the way I played and servers I was on. We were always talking about memes, blasting dance music, giving each other console powers and messing around.

cs_office in Counter Strike: Source was almost a second home.

Feedback I wonder how many people struggle with this? Is this an intentional design choice?

It's been years after the release of cs2 but I STILL sometimes miss these counter strafe nades. I know I'm nowhere near being a professional at this game so this is not a complain about the game design but it just feels wrong to me. Am I the only one?

Discussion How do YouTubers record FACEIT POV demos like this? (Voice chat, auto-muted players, no spectator UI)

Hey everyone,

I've been watching some YouTube channels that upload FACEIT POV demos of pro players, and I've noticed a couple of things that are driving me crazy because I can't figure out how they do it.

Here is what I noticed:

Voice Chat & Muted Players: They somehow show exactly who is talking in the voice chat overlay. Even crazier, they are able to hear players who have been globally muted by the game for receiving too many reports (I know this auto-mute feature is relatively recent, but how do they capture their voices in demos?).
No Spectator UI: One of these channels doesn't even look like it's using the standard spectator mode. The player's name isn't displayed in the bottom center of the screen, making it look exactly like a live, local screen record rather than a downloaded demo.

So, I have a few questions for anyone familiar with CS2 demo viewing/recording:

How do they get the voice chat UI to show who is speaking?
How are they able to listen to globally muted players?
How do they record the demo so it looks like a true local POV without the typical GOTV/spectator HUD elements?

The only hypothesis I could come up with is that they are injecting custom DLLs into CS2 to tweak the demo viewer, but that seems highly unlikely and a bit risky. Am I totally off base here?

If anyone knows how this is done or what tools they are using, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!
