Are the LOL Players in a Bootcamp? I doubt IT but i saw Vladi playing on an Korean Account in his stream. Is it just Vladi practicing on a different Server?

With the start of the LEC less then a week away I think opening a discussion around the expectations for summer could be fun and this could age like milk but I think our contenders have got weaker and genuinely believe we can make top 3 and worlds here's my reasons why.

1. FNC - Everyone is understandably skeptical about how good Soboro will be, but the reality is that we upgraded our weakest role.

No disrespect to Empyros, but he was limited in what he offered the team and imo took playing weakside too literal. Soboro doesn't need to be a Zeus immediately. I would expect his floor to be similar to Empyros' peak and that's already a meaningful improvement. I think judging him from content creators reactions to the pick up is unfair. The few LPL games I watched I dont see someone whose worthy of the reaction he received. For anyone really interested in what he might bring go watch a vod for yourself at LPL English and search for iG.

Lospa's English is very impressive, which should help Soboro settle in quicker and focus on his gameplay which is a big positive.

If both solo laners step up, I genuinely don't think Worlds qualification is unrealistic. Upset is solid, I know he is marmite on this sub but my opinion he is at minim a top 3 adc in our league. Razork is experienced and has a knack of turning it on when it matters and goes super saiyan once in awhile. Lopsa is good enough and comes across as a hard worker so I dont worry about him the only question marks I have are around drafting, what version of Razork shows up for summer and can Vladi and Soboro play at the level needed for a top 3 finish.

2. GX - Replacing Noah with Flakked is a downgrade, whilst Oscar over Lot is probably an upgrade, I don't think it offsets losing Noah and breaking up the Noah Jun bot lane.

Jackies has been in the league long enough now that Im not expecting him to suddenly improve leaps and bounds, he is solid but will not carry the team consistently enough for me to worry about, Isma again is solid but not a game changer so my main question is who is going to carry this team to worlds?

2. VIT - Replacing Humanoid with FIESTA is a downgrade, simple as and unless I'm mistaken, Vitality are not running a six-man roster and do not have another Korean speaking player, so integrating FIESTA could take time depending on his English.

Naak Nako is the real deal, probably best top in the LEC - Lyncas and Carzzy are known quantities at this point and whilst ok I dont think are levels above Razork and Upset. Fleshy impressed me but is top/supp really enough to take the team to worlds?

3. MKOI - Probably the team that worries me the most. Jojo and Elyoya are, in my opinion, currently better than Vladi and Razork based on what we've seen this year and are game changers and shot callers who can lead their team to success.

Myrwn has been bad and the fact they are now set to be running a six-man roster with a 18 y/o whose been playing professionally since 2024 suggests management thinks so too and are worried.

I think we can agree MKOI can also be a very emotional team too, especially ad/jg and if top lane continues to struggle (either with Myrwn or NightSlayer) I think its realistic the team could implode in a playoffs and miss out on worlds.

Summary - I'm not expecting us to be anywhere near G2 or KC but I just think the race for the last worlds spot is much more open than people currently believe. We still absolutely have issues, but so does almost every other contender and I hope this post highlights some of them and maybe gives people hope going into summer!😄

I remember being really frustrated we never took mid tower so I set out originally to find the avg time across all 38 games played. Keep in mind these are just numbers I have not compared them against better teams, or any other team to be honest, whilst I did try to double check my numbers some could be off. This post is not pro analytical breakdown just the product of boredom on a summers night.

FNC destroyed mid tier one in 19/38 games, so exactly half of the games played, maybe I was misremembering? I'm no AI coach but opening mid map in only 50% of your games isnt great, right?

For any interested the average time we destroyed enemy mid tier 1 was 24:53. Here's all the games and times;

Other random numbers; 73.7% of Fnatic's games so far this year were on red side.. (28/38). Without fact checking others teams that number does seem high.

Our first drake % increased dramatically in spilt two, jumping from 13.3% (2/15) in winter to 52.2% (12/23) in spring with just 8 more games played.

If anyone actually read this, whats your thoughts? I guess numerically we did improve from versus to spring so the only logical conclusion is we're winning summer.

As preparation for Fnatic's announcement of signing Soboro yesterday, I watched all of Soboro's games from 2025 LCK CL summer split as a part of BNK FearX Youth. And I'm happy to share some notes of what I saw there:

- I wouldn't grade his laning skills all that highly. His gold leads after 15 minutes is less a product of out-trading the other top laners, and more to do with clearing waves faster without dying and then rotating and finding gold on another part of the map (either in turret plates outside top or linking up with other players to find kills). If Soboro is forced into an extended laning phase with the other top laner without any jungle intervention, and has no windows to make out-of-lane plays, he and his mechanics are pretty unremarkable. At his worst he is also capable of dying a lot in the laning phase and bleeding gold to the enemy team.

- That said, this playstyle of pushing waves fast and rotating does have its advantages in improving access to the top side of the jungle. This also relates to my sense that Soboro isn't exactly what I'd call a 'weak side' player. While I think he's fine without extra attention, he was given carry responsibilities and resources within FearX Youth. That said, Soboro is a bit of a side-lane risk by overextending and not responding well to overloads.

- When grouped with the rest of the team, Soboro helps to start teamfights by throwing himself into the middle of the enemy team and letting his teammates follow up that way. And he does this irrespective of how many resources he has and how far behind he is in either gold or experience. He doesn't do this all the time because the primary initiators are the usual suspects in jungler Willer (now with DRX) and support Career (now with DK Plus). But this goes a very long way to explain why his damage share has always outpaced his gold share, which has been a consistent theme of his since 2025.

- Soboro also likes to create flanks from the fog of war to start fights that way and give angles to his team's initiators. This is what the announcement video gets right when Odoamne was talking about looking for a top laner who is 'more creative' and 'can make plays'. That said, I am not as impressed with his timing to follow up on engages from either Willer and Career compared to the other way around.

- After getting license to try more mechanically demanding champions in Summer Split (Rounds 3-5), particularly Aatrox and Jax, Soboro's champion pool did see a noticeable shift with easier-to-execute characters in the playoffs. Making a miraculous lower bracket run to win the LCK CL championship (including three Bo5s that went the distance) did mean that he had to play a LOT of champions period. That said, I think it's a bit of a stretch to extrapolate on this to suggest that Soboro's champion pool is necessarily broad because he didn't stand out in most of the offbeat picks. There were a few small sample highlights, though, like Camille in the finals vs. KT Challengers, Mordekaiser against GenG Global Academy, and Olaf Vs DNF Challengers.

- Speaking of playoffs, Soboro's best performances happened earlier in the miracle run after FearX Youth fell into the lower bracket. He was largely non-descript the rest of the way, though he did rebound a little bit during the finals. With all his overextending either in sidelanes or teamfights, he does share some of the blame as to why some of these series reached the maximum five games. He was arguably the worst player on his team who got FearX Youth into the lower bracket after being swept by DNF Challengers in the first place.

- If I have to suggest a player comp to Soboro, the first one that came to mind was Bwipo (and not necessarily in a good way). His penchant for sticking his nose too deep in teamfights and elsewhere leads to throwing leads or even losing games. But by those same means he also swings games in his team's favour, even to the point of outright winning them. If there's one note of caution, however, is that Bwipo's laning skills are usually well above average by LEC or LCS standards which really augments his aggressive playstyle. I cannot be as confident in that aspect when it comes to Soboro.

There are a lot of other mental notes I've made when it comes to the games I've watched. But I hope that these observations can serve as a decent starting point for us fans to better know the team's newest top-laner.

EU(well mostly G2) is back alive and FNC is on its dying breath.

Watching that series today felt like 2019 again, beside the fact that 2019 FNC was also a really solid roster after stumbling a bit in the start.

At this rate just sell the org really quick and hope that the future owners blow some life in this corpse of an organisation so we can have more great teams in the EU league.

Like seriously how could FNC become so bad after dominating the first 5 years of the EULCS so hard. Obviously losing Caps was a HUGE factor in the decline, but still even without him we pushed some teams out of groups like RNG and pushed other teams to their limit, taking games here and there from Top-Teams like T1.

With KC and MAD not really filling the void that international FNC even as a 2nd or 3rd seed had (making it permanently out of groups and into semis or quarters) the whole region - moreso the whole west - has become a 1-Team-G2-Show for too many years.

We need the G2-FNC rivalry back in Europe ASAP!
