I've been using a folding e-bike for short trips, and it's been comfortable and practical. The only thing I'm missing is a rear rack, especially when carrying groceries, a small bag, or a bike lock.

I'm considering adding an aftermarket rear rack, but I'm not sure if the extra carrying capacity is worth the added weight and bulk.

For those who ride a folding e-bike or compact city e-bike, do you find a rear rack essential for daily commuting, or do you prefer to keep the bike light and simple?

At what speed should I have a full face helmet instead of just a regular bike helmet. I don’t wanna look stupid

So, today in Ireland, the law decided to change the regulations on electric scooters and I own one of the most powerful scooters on the planet, the Gspace Mars GTR, and I love this machine, but it looks like I'm forced to sell it before I get slapped with a fine for riding an illegal and unregistered scooter. Granted, it's already illegal, but the police don't mind in my town because there's no registration bullshit.... Until September.

So I've put it up for sale and I'm now looking at electric bikes, which are much more favourably looked upon here, and I'm hoping someone can direct me to a good bike or even a few choices.

I'm 120kg and I live in a town with a few hills but nothing bad. I won't need to travel far but would like really good range and plenty of power. For example, my GTR hits 11kw and 110kmh. I'm not exactly looking for the same, but I do want it to pack a punch if I need to move quickly.

Are dual motors as important as they are on a scooter? How important is the voltage of the battery in comparison to the batteries in a scooter? Is there anything specific I should look out for or avoid?

I'm also looking for recommendations for bikes I can get in Ireland or from mainland Europe.

Hello, i am looking for a faster way off getting around because my e-bike was stolen.

I found a super soco Ts 1200r from 2018 with 12156 km on it. It is also making some buzzing sounds from the engine during low speeds, he claims its for when the power switches on and off and that he has checked with two different stores and they said that and not to worry. He wants around 900 dollers or 9000 swedish kronor. It includes two batteries one original and one from 2023 and a charger he has had some issues with.

I have no clue if this is a good brand or if i should get something else. I have no idee what is good or bad. Any edvice or help would be verry apriciated.

Just rolled past 2,000 km on my Leitner commuter e-bike, so I thought I'd share a quick update for anyone considering one.

I bought it for a 24 km daily commute because I couldn't justify spending $4k+ on a premium e-bike. Overall, it's been a lot better than I expected.

The biggest positives for me are the value for money, the Samsung battery (I'm still getting around 50–60 km per charge), and the fact that local support has actually been easy whenever I've needed parts or advice.

The downsides are mostly what you'd expect at this price. It's heavy, the stock components are pretty basic, and changing the rear wheel after a puncture isn't much fun because of the hub motor.

It's definitely not a premium bike, but after 2,000 km I don't regret buying it. Anyone else here riding a Leitner long-term? Curious how yours has held up.

New ebike battery for sale

Hello, I am hoping to buy this depending on you guys opinions and experiences.
I like the price in relation to the batteries and range advertised but wondering what the real world range would be? I’m in Austin, Texas and we have some hills and valleys where I would primarily use this
I would usually need to go about 200 miles a week within the same neighborhood and rarely 400 miles a week within a 15 mile radius

Hello everyone, my Trek FX-7S has an interesting creak when applying lateral force to the pedals.

Local bike shop is literally too busy to look at my bike, so trying to figure it out on my own without breaking my bike.

Noise only happens when applying force to the pedals, if the bike is moving and pedals are cranked with little force it does not creak.

I was planning on checking the motor mount points and the crank connection. I checked the seat and replaced the pedal connection lube. Any other ideas? Anyone else had an issue like this?

I had an e bike for around 6 months and it broke down, long story short the customer service was bad and I was able to get a refund, I am looking to buy a new e bike that is reliable and good quality for my main transportation for everything and good suspension for light trails for around 2k, I was looking at the aventon aventure 3, is it a good ebike for my needs?

Hi everyone, I’ve recently been thinking about buying an e-bike—specifically the Coswheel R19—and I’d like to know if anyone has any feedback on this model, whether good or bad.

Does anybody have any idea why my surron would automatically full pin throttle sport mode (even when in eco) when i turn the bars left. thought it could be wire getting pulled or something but my throttle wire has so much slack it doesn’t even move. would it be the throttle? or most likely a wiring issue? I just ordered a new throttle but not sure if that will fix it. What could i try in the meantime? (at first it would auto throttle, then sometimes throttle wouldn’t work at all, now i’m getting no more auto throttle but throttle isn’t doing anything at all. Screen, horn and everything else still working fine. Thanks! (2021 Lbx 2.6k km)

My mom is looking to purchase this bike secondhand. It has 88km on it. The seller is selling it because it's too small for him.

She just gave it a spin and she's comfortable, but a bit nervous as she doesn't ride bikes or drive anymore (she used to ride motorcycles and was an excellent driver IMO, I think she's just lacking confidence). She'd be using this to run errands and get around locally. She lives downtown and the streets have terrible maintenance, which is adding to her uncertainty. She's 70, but in decent shape.

The reviews on the official website seem great, but I don't trust reviews from the manufacturer, and can't find much info about this bike online. Looking for suggestions here from people with experience - is it worth the price? I don't know anything about e-bikes personally, so I'm not sure what to advise her here.

Hey everyone! I'm 37, 6'5", and around 250 lbs. I'm looking for an e bike mainly for riding on roads and bike paths, not off roading. I'd prefer to buy one from Amazon if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable e bike that would fit someone my size? Thanks in advance!

I’ve noticed around my town there’s quite a few bikers and a decent portion of them are e-bikes. When I actually look closer and try to check the brand, most of them are simply branded “E-BIKE” which is tremendously unhelpful in figuring out what they are. But then someone suggested maybe that is actually the brand, so I tried looking them up to no avail obviously.

So now I ask, is this an actual brand or am I just seeing a bunch of no-name devices with a decal over them?

I’m a little worried that leaving my e-bike in the summer sun for hours could damage the battery, display, wiring, or other electronics, so I usually try to park it in the shade.

Would using a bike cover help, or would it just trap more heat underneath?

What do you guys do during really hot weather? Is parking in the shade and bringing the battery inside enough, or are there any other precautions worth taking?

Habit Neo 3 | Electric Mountain Bikes | Cannondale

I'm interested in buying this new electric bike, but it has a Fazua Ride 60 motor. Fazua is going out of business... What will happen to this motor then?

Right now, this bike is on sale at a great price at a Spanish store (Habit Neo 3 Carbon - €2,800). I don't know what to do; it seems like a really good deal.
