Official response I got after asking directly. Hope this puts some of us chronic Del Taco-ers at ease.

I remember years ago working at tacobell there was on official weight that tacos were suppose to weigh and periodically manager/corporate would come in and spot check us. Is this the case with Del taco. I feel like sometimes the Big del taco is a crap ton of meat and other times it's skimpier than a Taco Bell taco. Do you guys often experience these inconsistencies?

I'm schizoaffective and because of my illness and living situation I qualify for food stamps and the Hot Meals Restaurant program in northern California which my local Del Taco that I live very very close to accepts. The qr code app coupons every week are super unbeatable so I often use them and pay with my EBT tender, however it seems that the franchise has grown to not be a fan of this. I recently used a BOGO fish taco coupon and 30 minutes after I ate my hands cramped like nothing I've ever experienced in my life, I couldn't even uncramp them by forcing them against a solid surface and I vomitted and barely avoided a hospital stay. I suspect this was an intentional hint to try and deter me from enjoying the food deals in the future with my chosen payment form.

Now, even when I come in for the Tuesday and Thursday taco deals the staff plays dumb as if they've never heard of the deals (they're posted on the door) and instead of accepting my QR code for my deals on my only account they'll stall and say they aren't working or just find some other excuse to not honor the offers. It's consistent among multiple workers and I personally find it insidious.

Is it really possible for one lone customer to cut into their profits so harshly by using the encouraged app deals that they would result to this behavior and is there any recourse? I just wanted to eat.

Which deal has more value, is it scoop portions like taco bell?

3.59 for 3 grilled chicken tacos, or the bogo grilled chicken burritos for 6 dollars?

I was gifted an e gift card and accidentally put in the wrong pin which resulted on it being placed on hold. It still has $69 on it but has been placed on hold since early May.

I've called the gift card help desk 6 times but have gotten no where. They can't remove the hold and can't send a new one. I've also tried the del taco contact us but haven't heard back

Any suggestions? At this point I'm ready to get the better business bureau involved. Putting a gift card on hold for inputting the pin wrong once and having no way to get it lifted is either a gross oversight or criminally intentional.

So sick

We always make a stop at Del Taco on 1st Street in Barstow. The Macho Beef Burritos are massive, and the Barstow Tacos hit the spot every single time. It's become a must stop on every trip.

Had an AWESOME Del Taco recently at location off Jefferson - tons of cheese, just the right amount of meat and lettuce. Mmmm.

Tried the flaming fries, flaming epic burrito, and flaming crispy chicken burrito (they misheard me and gave me the crispy instead of grilled so i tried it before getting the right one.)

All solid in my opinion and I'd like to see it rolled out to more locations. It doesn't taste like hot cheetos despite being so red it really just tastes like a spicy queso that kicks a bit but doesn't linger.

The epic burrito was especially good and honestly the spicy queso itself was so good I would order it on the side just to dip my fries in in the future.

If Del offered the spicy queso as a substitute for their normal queso like they do with spicy jack and cheddar i could see it being a mainstay on the menu.

Also, my personal suggestion is that if you want to try the loaded fries, swap the ground beef for grilled chicken so the beef sauce doesn't overpower the queso.

Went with one of my usual combos today three del Tacos a bean and cheese burrito with red sauce and sour cream and of course mild and scorcher sauce

Ok, took advantage of $5 shipping and finally ordered a Del Taco sauce pack. I’m in Chicago so no Del Taco here.

I absolutely ABHOR that you cannot combine anything? Wanna use your rewards to cash out a free item AND use a coupon they have? Nope! Wanna buy the thursday night discounted chicken tacos + a coupon? Nope! Full price if using a coupon. Like why offer this stuff if its all gonna be so restrictive. I know its a small thing but like seriously, you gave me the points, let me use em! You discounted the tacos, why am I not allowed to use a coupon with it?!

I managed to just make enough points to hit top tier rewards before July 1. My understanding is that it's good through 12/31 and I have to earn another 2000 (?) before 1/1 or it will drop down. But the app just says "continue to earn points and retain your status." I haven't even been really this month so I'm sure it's around 1900 I have to earn to renew, but it doesn't tell me. What am I missing to know how many points I still need?

Is it great customer service that the cute guy at the Del Taco remembered what hot sauce I liked without asking or is he trying 👀lmao ok that’s all

Pretty sure something far better could be vibe coded at this point. Genuinely one of the worst apps I’ve ever used.
