Tried my best to play all 3 solos from Scattered.

My attempt on one of the best ( if not the best) version of the comfortably numb solo played at Earls Court in 1994. Really amazing solo and I tried to make it justice. Gear used: fender Stratocaster with EMG DG20, Helix LT, Hiwatt 20 as a monitor and GarageBand. I hope you enjoy it !!

Been looking for a video I seen on YouTube years ago. It’s Paul Gilbert playing “stone pushing up hill man” live with some type of kick drum pedal thing he’s keeping time with. Looks like he’s in a mall and there is one of those curly guitar cords hanging right in front of the camera. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ummagumma is the fourth album by English rock band Pink Floyd. It is a double album and was released on 7 November 1969 by Harvest Records. The first disc consists of live recordings from concerts at Mothers Club in Birmingham and the College of Commerce in Manchester that contained part of their normal set list of the time, while the second contains solo compositions by each member of the band recorded at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road Studios). The artwork was designed by regular Floyd collaborators Hipgnosis and features a number of pictures of the band combined to give a Droste effect. It was the last album cover to feature the band.

Just finished my dream guitar build using a Fender Vintera II Road Worn MIM Strat along with an Overdrive Custom Guitar Works pickguard assembly. I’ve been dreaming of owning a black Strat since I was a teenager and that day has finally arrived.

Pickguard is loaded with the Fender Custom Shop Fat ‘50 in the neck, Fender Custom Shop Custom ‘69 in the middle, and Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Hand Scatter Wound SSL-1C DG in the bridge (done my MJ herself). I opted for the SSL-1C to be RW/RP and tone 1 for the neck/middle while tone 2 for the bridge. Not strictly David’s tone wiring but I talked to Craig at Overdrive and he recommended the setup. I also copper foil shielded the main cavity and output cavity as well as had the pickguard fully shielded.

The pickguard was not cheap but I think it was worth every penny. The sound is amazing and Craig’s attention to detail with the custom 1 ply acrylic pickguard is flawless. The pickups are so quiet with the shielding and the RW/RP bridge pickup. Craig was great to deal with over the phone and answered all my questions. It also arrived well under the stated 30 day turnaround time.

For anyone considering building a black Strat of their own I would 100% go with Overdrive’s pickguard assembly. There are cheaper versions available but none compare in the sound and quality of this setup. This one is a keeper.

I recently purchased the Gdansk 4 disc version (5 disc is too expensive for my budget) and On An Island DTS 5.1 sounds fantastic. It's not as amazing of course as WYWH 50 or Animals Dolby Atmos but it really sounds great. Anybody else has it? What do yall think?

I love The Division Bell and I have its 5.1 Blu Ray from both 20 anniversary and later years box set, and although I love it, the lead vocal sounds a bit off or low, I think Dolby Atmos TDB would be amazing. Opinions?

What album do you guys think we will get Dolby Atmos eventually or which one would you guys love/adore to see released?

His singing is still quite good. But I'm wondering how his soloing compares to the performance 18 years before.

One of the lesser known Gilmour solos from 1992, but I love the chorus tone he gets in it. I tried to get close! Please let me know what you think / how I can improve my playing

My attempt on the mighty solo on Sorrow in the dvd of PULSE. It’s not a very easy solo to record in one take so don’t mind the little mistakes. I tried to use the same rig as Gilmour but replaced the tube driver with a rat. Gear: Fender Stratocaster with EMG, Helix LT, Hiwatt 20, GarageBand.

I’m so happy to have snagged this gem for my board. It’s been on my list a very long time and they rarely become available in my area.

My attempt on ABITW pt2 PULSE dvd version. I always loved that compressed tube driver tone with the modulation. I used a fender Stratocaster with EMGDG20( SPC 5, EXG 2), a helix Lt through a Hiwatt T20.

FINALLY❗️... A Wonderful Movie - The Concert with Superb Sound and Picture Quality‼️

I might be really nitpicky here, but I found it quite bothering.

It's been a year (and a half?) since we've got Luck and Strange album, tour, live album and concert film and mixing decisions on the live stuff still ruins overall experience for me. For the irony, whoever mixed it, must've been a drummer.

I can take a solo of Comfortably Numb for example and compare it to the non-other than Pulse version.

Now, philosophy behind the Pulse mix was that there was main storyteller (Vocal/Guitar) and everything else was built around it, not to stand out, but to work together and create the whole image. It's not a perfect mix and tendencies changed since then, but it uses psychoacoustic elements quite well.

Circus Maximus, on the other hand, kind of got the "...And Justice for All" treatment, since drums are overmixed and bass it barely hearable in context. I'd think my 10$ earphones were on fault here, had I not seen the concert film in IMAX theater.

So, I thought, this problem can be addressed if there will be re-issue in the future. All it needs is dialing bass up a bit (also EQ) and drum down with DB or 2 to really balance these two instruments with each other in official release, since what I get from audience recordings is that it actually wasn't a problem live.
