Hired some rebar installers in Winnipeg. They did a fantastic job! Just wanted to give a shoutout to Justlee Construction Ltd. They were super fast compared to our guys. Do yourself a favour and hire rebar installers (Rodbusters) and save yourself more time to do what you’re good at!

Starting to get really use to not having anyone around and doing everything with the couple homies I have. We do about 100 yards a week I just don’t post.

I started making some miniature low-poly concrete models as decor pieces for my friends. I’m relatively new to working with concrete and was wondering if I can skip applying a sealer given that they will be kept indoors?

The chances that your situation is covered in the WikiFAQ are pretty dang good.

If your issue is NOT covered in the WikiFAQ, this is the place to ask if that hairline crack warrants a full tear-out and if the quote for $10k on 35 SF of sidewalk is a reasonable price.

I’ve been doing one sided walls basically the same way forever, it’s that, some banding wetset into the footing and a stud nailed across the bottom. Anyone have any tricks or anything they do different?

Had someone request a 24"x 36" wall panel for their office. Of course we spun it up and had a blast in the making. Gotta love the french cleat. Figured folks might enjoy it. Flip flops are part of the design 😂

Apologies if there isn’t enough info or this is the right place to ask this. I have no experience in concrete or construction. This is the 2nd floor of a concrete parking garage for my work. It’s always had a little bit of bowing (about a year or so that I’ve seen) but today I noticed it almost looks to be sagging more. I could be wrong but my gut says it shouldn’t sag like that at all. The photo doesn’t do it justice, either. I’d guess the low points and high points are about 8-10 inches apart in height. Thoughts?

Hi ive been doing concrete work for I think about 7 months (counting the previous season, im 🇨🇦) and I was just wondering about progression in the field. Last season I started off just as a digger getting sites ready for the frame/pour crews. Later, the owner started putting me as a helper for the pour crews, so I’ve been around many frames and pours especially this year as the owner decided to move me to a permanent crew. Which is pretty sick, I like getting to actually use tools and be there for projects start to finish. The only issue is I think I’m just like terrible. I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m a good laborer and do what I’m told but I’m genuinely feel so confused a lot of time and feel like I should know a lot of this already. But yeah with that being said I’m just wondering how fast you guys found you progressed in your concrete journeys. I think part of it is that while I am on permanent crew now I’m still really just a laborer. My foreman has been pretty sick though, and he’s pretty good for giving me hands on experience so I can actually learn.
