AI Slop Is Now Banned
Been seeing one too many promptcels on here recently. AI generated memes are considered to be the lowest of the low when it comes to effort and creativity, and the environmental impacts of generative AI only adds to how annoyed I get seeing that same seemingly plastic-coated filter present with every AI generated image
All AI images will now be removed. Spamming them will result in temporary bans, and ignoring personal requests to cease will result in a permaban

Outjerked by r/bach
Come on we all know every composer after Bach dug his grave and copied the manuscripts he hid in there. Sigh… every composer should learn how original Bach is, who totally did not copy or steal any music. I therefore shall declare that Bach marks the beginning of all music as well as humans kind.
Bachmen 🙏

DAE have music-sound synesthesia?
Hi Reddit,
I recently discovered I have a new kind of synesthesia I’ve never heard of before, called music-sound synesthesia. Whenever I turn on the radio, or turn on YouTube, to look at classical music, I suddenly begin to hear sounds that are incredibly vivid. I don’t hear anybody talk about this so it must be pretty rare. Am I just a musical genius?

Which Schostakowich pieces sound like Shostakovich?
Just what it says. The symphony 10 is suspiciously similar.

I am currently planning a performance of the Helikopter-Striechquartett. You must have access to an airstrip and four Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawks. We are looking for a violist. Not a paid gig. DM me

Elmofal and the Holy Cookie
The Cookiedom of Sesame Street is haunted by the memory of its leader’s, Cookie Monster, defeat at the grimy mitts of Oscar the Grouch. Many years ago, Cookie Monster naively and bravely ventured into Oscar’s realm, the dirty Trash Alley on the other end of the street, hoping to free it of uncleanliness and apathy. But Cookie Monster was successfully bored into submission by a fairy under the Grouch’s thrall — Abby Cadabby — allowing him to steal his sacred cookie spear and leaving a wound that will never heal on the poor blue monster. Ever since, Cookie Monster — overwhelmed by an insatiable longing for cookies but unable to digest them — has been unable to perform the sacred ritual of the Holy Cookie without extreme pain, bringing the kingdom into a state of confusion and tiredness.
Dramatis personae:
Elmofal — a heavy and powerful, but lucid, heldentenor, despite his small size
Cookie Monster (baritone) — the beleaguered hero of the Cookiedom of Sesame Street
Big Bird (bass) — the wise, tall friend of Cookie Monster in the Cookiedom
Cookie Monster Sr (bass) — Cookie Monster’s dad who urges him to perform the ritual of the cookie, despite the pain it brings him
Abby Cadabby (soprano) — the fairy loyal to the Cookiedom, seeking redemption, but intermittently under the thrall of Oscar the Grouch
Oscar the Grouch (baritone) — the apathetic, trash-loving villain who defeated Cookie Monster on his quest for greatness (and cookies)
Synopsis:
Big Bird is snoozing on Sesame Street when he is woken up by Elmofal having wandered in, disturbing the peace at 7am. Elmofal says “Me not know what he done wrong… Me just wanted hugs and to spread love… Me not even know my name.” Big Bird is just confused. He talks of a heralded saviour to the Cookiedom, “the kind fool, enlightened by hunger”, and wonders if Elmofal might be him. He takes Elmofal to see the ritual of the holy cookie, but Elmofal just looks on with an awestricken grin, seemingly confused and dumbstruck. Big Bird just writes him off as an ordinary fool and sends him on his way.
Some time later, Elmofal wanders his way unknowingly into Oscar’s Trash Alley, where the Trash Maidens try to bore him to death but Elmofal just tells them “Me thinks you are very interesting creatures… Me wants to know more,” and irritated, the trash maidens scurry off. Meanwhile, Oscar the Grouch watches from his trash can eager to take another victim into his army of apathetic muppets, of which Kermit is one. Abby Cadabby greets Elmofal and says “You are Elmofal, your parents abandoned you and I will make you not care for anything at all to relieve the pain.” Elmofal says “Me name is Elmofal?? Me Elmofal… that is nice name. That is lovely name. Elmofal thinks that is not a very nice thing to say” (he starts to cry) “Elmofal wants to feel!” In a rage, Oscar leaps out of his trash can and throws the cookie spear at him but Elmofal just closes his eyes and catches it by instinct and says “Elmofal is Elmofal! Me value kindness and love! This alley is brought into the light!” Oscar screams and retreats into his can as light floods in. Abby shrinks to the floor. Elmofal turns to her and says “You know where to find me”.
Many years later, Elmofal has been wandering in the backstreets nearby Sesame Street unable to find his way back with the cookie spear, when one day on the Day of the Holy Cookie, he manages to find his way back. Big Bird almost doesn’t recognise him at first, so changed in appearance and stature is he. Elmofal says “Elmofal is here… Elmofal preaches love!” He lays the cookie spear down and Big Bird and Abby coat him in fairy dust before taking him to the ritual again. Cookie Monster’s dad has died, weakened irreparably by the lack of sustenance, and Cookie Monster is overwhelmed by guilt and is begging for death. Elmofal strides in and cries gleefully “Elmofal brings sustenance… the food of love!” He places the cookie spear into Cookie Monster’s wound, and it heals, and then Elmofal takes over the ritual and delivers cookies to everyone, spreading love and kindness. Abby falls to the ground, asleep. A passing pigeon poops on Elmofal’s head, but Elmofal just says “Elmofal is happy that pigeon has enough food to eat.” The end.

Ran out of classical music
I've been listening to classical music for weeks and now I've totally run out. I don't know why no one's making any more.
I've listened to clair de lune, moonlight sonata, chopin's nocturne and even his lesser known works like his prelude, and bach goldberg variations with the guy grunting in the background. I listened to mozart requiem and beethoven symphony no. 5. I even listened to niche stuff like brahms symphony (none of my friends have even heard of him, probably no one here has either).
I scrolled through this sub to find more and I found Bruckner 5 but I really didn't like the muppet's drum performance in the finale.
What should I do?
