Showcase First round.
Finally sent a collection I’ve had for over 30 years to be graded. This was one of the first they sent back. I was hoping for a 7.5 and was pleasantly surprised.

Finally got my grail (in a grade I can actually afford), but it’s a Todd Mcfarlane nonetheless. It was on my bucket list, and seemed unobtainable in my current situation. But I did it. And for a great price as well.
I have a signed Stan Lee Spider-Man #16 waiting for me in the UK that I also want to get graded.
Very happy with my collection.

My next cgc batch. Three signed moore books, a mark jewellers spider-man 122, ditko spider-man and my awesome transformers book. Hard to find in the uk, had it shipped form Canada. Some other goodies as well, but they were the ones that stood out to me. The last pic are what I’m waiting to get back. Uk cgc takes forever….

Bought this book and it looks like there are marks on both the inside of the slab and the book. Hard to tell not sure if I should return the book or reslab. Im pretty new to slabs. Seller thinks its no big deal and they didnt disclose the scuffs. But this was going to be the center piece of my absolute batman collection. Its really hard to show the two tiered marks. Hoping the community can steer me the right direction.

Got a bunch signed at Washington State Summer Con. This one was already signed by Chris Claremont. Got it signed by Catherine Disher, the voice of Jean Grey from the animated series!

DISCLAIMER: I'm not tryna come off as one of those "it's gotta be a 9.6+ or else its absolute trash!" obsessed collectors nd even it was a 9.9 i dont care to sell my slabs regardless,
What I do wanna know is, according to the grader notes, had there not been a smudge(?) you're telling me this would've been a 9.6 or above? Like a FULL point deduction from the artist and story-writer's signature seems like an egregious penalty, am I wrong? Yes it does take away from the overall integrity of the comic but ya know?

Is anyone who got books from the whatnot show going to send them in to CGC? I know the C O A has a link to something and I believe they said cgc should mark the books as the artist Comp copies but idk how all that works. Anybody send in from the last show? Any information would be helpful thank you!

After picking up this copy raw a few months ago and sending it off to CGC for grading I finally got it back today! Couldn't be happier with the grade, I knew it was high grade and was hoping for a 9.6 so the 9.8 is a big win

Got these back from Amazing Comic Con. Key Comix facilitated signature witness and CGC submission. Dude is a true bro. Got these back before my other self submissions that I sent in prior to and still waiting on.

Ended up with a last minute pass to Fanatics Fest this weekend and saw there was a cgc booth. I didn’t have a chance to go to storage to pull a bunch of books that actually could benefit from grading but I did manage to pull together 15 I had at home. Some like Red Sonja and the JSC I maybe wouldn’t have paid to ship both ways but dropping off cuts the price considerably. Plus seeing how they come back will guide me in the future.
So now I guess I just wait what, 3 months?

Last week when The Scorched 50 1:250 and 1:1000 variants started hitting the hands of collectors, we were met with the absence of any custom label options for this submission.
What made this really painful was that both of the prior issue 50 releases were eligible for custom labels so most people were sitting on an almost complete set of these books and had opted to get the custom Mcfarlane label yet were faced with the fact that only the first two issues would have that glorious custom label.
I don't know how many other people reached out to support but we did it! I know I reached out as soon as I started the submission and then when I was told " we are not offering custom labels on this book" I reached out to Brittney directly, and explained the situation in detail. Even going so far as to list announcement date, FOC date, ship date, and if the book was delayed and what the new street date had been moved to.
In truth, I probably sent too much information to her, but by God, she has delivered and the Mcfarlane labels are back on the menu!
The point of this post is just to simply say thank you to the crew at CGC, specifically Brittany, and to say thank you to anyone else that reached out regarding the missing label situation.

After too many years collecting, I finally own my first slab! And my personal holy grail, Batman 92, completing my favourite Ace the Bat-Hound covers!
I hadn't bought a comic for many years, and only got my collection of nearly 10,000 out of the loft recently so that I could sell them, due to personal circumstances.
However, going through and listing them all has re-ignited my passion for the hobby. Instead of a complete sell-off, I am keeping a more curated collection of my absolute favourites, and using a little bit of the money made to get the ones I always wanted to own!
I am SO happy with this book! Only problem is I want to read it!

When you’re FF 50 comes back graded like this, because you didn’t notice it was…missing a page!
The auction house offered me a significant refund, which I happily accepted.

I managed to get my hands on 2 copies of this issue, which was limited to 300 issues to begin with, and sent one off to be signed and remarqued in Feb 2026, and I just got it back yesterday, finally. I really enjoy it, but the only thing I am bummed about is I sent in a custom sleeve with a picture for reference of the remarque I wanted which was basically Dr. Strange's spell circles around Doom's raised fist in Lee's style and in bright green. I also included this info on the submission forms, and well, this is what I got. I also did a blind opening, which was VERY hard to do as opposed to checking the HI-DEF scans the second it was mailed out. It is a pop 1 with only 3 total having sigs so might be the only signed & sketched cover for this issue out there, but there's no way to truly know. Thoughts?

I have a CGC 9.0 ASM#300. Should I break it open, get it signed by the Todd-father at SDCC, then resubmit to CGC with their cleaning and pressing services or get a Spawn #1 or a Hulk #340 signed? Thanks in advance friends!

Just an update to the original thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CGCComics/comments/1s3hr8p
Sent the book in for pressing, and indeed got a grade increase from 8.5 to 9.0. Really happy with the book.
Thanks to those who gave their insight in the original thread.

I know how strict CGC is about their SS yellow labels, but say I had a JSA slab & wanted to add more sigs to it.
Does it matter if I crack it open myself since it’s a JSA label?
Like can I just send in the cracked slab label so they know which sigs were already authenticated & which ones I’m adding to it? (b/c they charge per signature to authenticate)
Obviously I don’t want to pay again for a sig that’s already been authenticated.

I have a couple books im thinking of sending in that are already signed. Just curious how that works.
