Hello fellow Cemu Redditors, I wanted to make everyone aware of a malware issue. The following message is directly from the Cemu developers. I am not a dev, I am relaying the message along with the link for the original PSA.

SECURITY PSA - For Cemu emulator 2.6
It has come to our attention that from 6th May to today (12th May) the AppImage and Ubuntu zip assets of Cemu 2.6 on our github were compromised by a pro-Russian threat actor.
If you are a Windows or MacOS user you are not affected. If you are a flatpak user you are also not affected.
The compromised releases are:
Cemu-2.6-x86_64.AppImage
cemu-2.6-ubuntu-22.04-x64.zip
Only if you have downloaded these between 6th May and 12th May from our github page. This also affects third party launchers which usually directly download from our repository. As of writing this, the compromised releases have been restored to their good version.

1. How do I know if I am affected?
There are currently no known reliable traces that you can check for, but you should assume you are affected if you downloaded and ran either Cemu-2.6-x86_64.AppImage or cemu-2.6-ubuntu-22.04-x64.zipbetween 6th May and 12th May. The malware has a special exception where it does bypass the harmful code on the first run, so the risk of damage is lower if you only ran compromised Cemu builds once. If your locale is Russian then the malware does nothing.
The following files and directories may be created by the malware:
/tmp/.transformers
/usr/bin/pgmonitor.py
~/.local/bin/pgmonitor.py
/etc/systemd/system/pgsql-monitor.service
~/.config/systemd/user/pgsql-monitor.service
/tmp/kubectl
The absence of these files does not prove that you are safe.
2. What can I do if I am affected?
The blunt answer is that we don't know the full capabilities of the malware. The safest bet is to do a clean install of your OS.
At the very minimum you should delete the affected binaries and reset all your passwords, GitHub tokens, SSH keys or anything that is used to authenticate with services. The malware contains a pretty sophisticated password stealer for many services. Most of them are related to programming or cloud providers in some way. We think this is to help the malware authors to further infect other software.
You should also block IP 83.142.209.194 (even if you are not affected) because this is used as a hardcoded remote endpoint.
We will update this document as more information becomes available.
Special note for Israeli users:
If the malware determines that your location is Israel (it does this via locale and timezone checks) then it has a 1:6 chance that it will play a loud siren sound and run rm -rf /, essentially attempting to wipe your filesystem. This is bad, but since rm does not actively overwrite the file data, you should be able to recover your data with some effort. But this is only true as long as you don't write new data to the affected drive(s).
Do not reinstall your OS to the same drive or format it until you have attempted a file recovery first. The exact steps for this go beyond the scope of this PSA, but if you need help feel free to DM me on Discord (Exzap) or shoot me a message on reddit (u/Exzap).
3. How did this happen?
We are still tracking the exact chain of events down but the leading theory is that a collaborator on our team ran a compromised python package which stole his GitHub token. This was then used to reupload a compromised version of the two linux binaries in the v2.6 (latest) release of Cemu. We have taken measures to prevent this from happening in the future.

For users that were already using our experimental updates (2.0-x), you can think of this release as the final experimental update. There are no noteworthy additional changes compared to Cemu 2.0-95 other than the new version number.
Starting with this release, Cemu will now only have a single release channel. Instead of experimental releases, there is a new option to control whether Cemu will update immediately to cutting-edge releases, which may contain uncaught bugs, or update with a slight delay. Hello,
I am using a MacBook Pro 2019 16" and I plugged in my powerA controller to use for breath of the wild. However whenever I plug the controller in it gets detected by steam and other apps/games Cemu not being one of them however.
any help appreciated.

BotW looks great in windowed mode, but whenever it's put in fullscreen it looks like the brightness gets turned all the way down.
I have tried disabling HDR / auto HDR, manually adjusting brightness to compensate, and ensured the settings are correct for the display. I have also tried no reshader and several built in reshaders.
7800X3D 4.2ghz
32gb 4800 Ram
4090FE GPU
Additionally, how yall getting high frame rates? When I crank the frame rate up the game acts weird because the processing is tied to it."

i noticed there is almost no documentation on the disney infinity games on cemu so i decided to do my own experiments/playthrough and post the results. since i‘ve never played a disney infinity game and had no idea what i was getting into i only purchased the 3.0 game, the portal, boba fett, and groot so i can’t test much but i’m hoping this will kick off more people’s tests that they can post here.
right at the start i ran into an issue: the game tries to get you to agree to the user EULA, but since Cemu isn’t a real Wii U it doesn’t handle things properly. the solution i found is to accept the EULA on a physical wii u and then transfer the save data to cemu, this bypasses the EULA and allows the game to continue. i might make a cemu patch to check the EULA flag from the start if i can figure out how.
i noticed when setting the game up that there are no graphics packs whatsoever for resolution or fps, is there anyone planning to fix this?

So while playing BOTW using cemu if I try to open a save or leave a shrine that is inside Kakariko Village, the loading screen gets stuck in between the e and g in the logo in the bottom corner, and it doesn’t move. I tried waiting for 20 minutes and still nothing, tried decreasing resolution and still nothing. Has this happened to anyone else and is there any fix?

I started Breath of the Wild on pc last week for the first time, and it worked, but i alt f4'd because i had to go somewhere urgently, and now it wont launch at all. I click the game, I see the loading screen with the ancient murals, then it just crashes. I deleted the game, reinstalled, and still doesnt work. I have all three files downloaded from WiiUD, yet still nothing, whats wrong? i really want to play this game at 60 fps on pc instead of dropping 600 on a switch 2 to do it. The only mods i have right now are the "enhancements", "graphics", and FPS+

I really want to Emulate Nintendo land so I can play it with my friends, but the game requires one player to privately look at the Wii U pad. From my understanding you cannot connect an actual Wii U pad to a PC, so I was wondering if this works in any ways

Since the new Star Fox game came on Switch 2 I've been meaning to try playing Star Fox Zero to compare the two. I'm trying to use my regular PC for Cemu while using Apollo and Moonlight to make my Steam Deck act as the Wii U gamepad but I can't seem to make the gyro work even though I set up the Steam Deck as a PS4 controller.

So I'm facing a problem with tasm 2 game on cemu wii u v0.5.1 as when i try to swap the screen and use the pad screen the map is shown half and have issue , I'm using mali g715 , if anyone knows how to fix this issue plz give your thoughts 🙏beside that the game is running good 👍

Okay of all the similar posts I've not seen any fix for this, so cemu has been running botw great on my steam deck, consistent 40fps, maybe stutters a bit when lots of stuff happens at once, the usual.
But then there's random crashes that have been happening, it was infrequent but now more often, sometimes i get a warning because it stutters then kicks me out, sometimes it's the loading screen of warping out of a shrine i can't finish, but it's frustrating when its literally great one second and game is gone the next
It always works after i load it back up again though, so it's not a specific area or situation causing this
And i think it's always happened when moving link around, never in the inventory or using a specific power
If i had to guess, it would be game failing to load terrain for whatever reason, but it's so weird for it to be in so many different places
But yeah, having played hours at a time with no issues, I'd like to continue my 80+ hour game save in peace if at all possible, any ideas much appreciated👍
Is anyone else unable to update Cemu (Dual-Screen)?
Whether I update through Obtainium or install the APK directly from GitHub, I always get "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package."
I'd rather not uninstall the app since I don't want to lose all my data and settings. Has anyone found a fix?

So I recently installed Cemu to emulate Skylanders since I saw it would emulator the Portal and figures without having to buy any real ones, and I sue to play them games when I was younger. When I first installed the emulator it was playing off of the ROM files I had downloaded a few months ago, but somewhere along the way when trying to clear up disk space the files must've been deleted. So I tried downloading the other ROMS, but everytime I try to load them up, Cemu isn't recognizing the files anymore. I have no idea if I did anything wrong, I've tried looking it up, tried everything, and I feel like it's just the file type since I can see the .wua in my files but it shows up nowhere when I try looking for it in the Cemu app. What do I do?

Hey! I'm trying to use amiibo with Splatoon. Whenever I try to use an amiibo with the game, it says I need to nickname it first, but never manages to pull up a prompt for the name and freezes. Everything I can read online says the solution to this is to run the amiibo settings applet and nickname it on there. However, any time I try to run this applet, it almost immediately crashes. Is there a way to get it to run?

Im able to play botw decently on steamdeck. My only problem is when using vulkan shaders the menu ui in botw is so pixelated that its almost unreadable. Opening the game with the graphics set to opengl fixes the issue completely but at the cost of the game running worse. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Having a blast revisiting Wii U games as if I was playing on a real one, thanks to the Steam Deck.
Game names and context are in the photo captions.
Cemu runs on my PC and streamed to my Steam Deck via Sunshine/Moonlight. (My PC streams my second monitor, where I placed the GamePad view.)
The gyro works remotely with SteamDeckGyroDSU.
