To keep it as brief as possible, I need to leave Carleton due to struggling academically and relapsing into some previous addictions.

I had previously considered leaving because of financial issues (for which I had posted on here), but I was able to work those out with the Financial Aid Office and also got a job willing to work around my university hours. This time, my reasons are different.

I’m not sure what the proper process is. Do I need to speak with Carleton’s Mental Health Services first since it involves mental health problems, or can I go directly to the Registrar’s Office and request to completely withdraw from the university?

I’ve been told that simply dropping all of my courses means I could still retain student status for a while. At this point, though, I’d prefer to completely end my student status so that everything is final.
If anyone has gone through this process or knows the correct steps, I’d really appreciate the advice. Thanks.

In need of guidance. I’m in 2nd year Aero stream C. I can’t make overrides on Central and so I’m directed to the Eng Scheduler, okay sure. Then I’m told overrides cannot be granted for full courses and I’m directed to make an alternate timetable but literally everything is full or reserved. And it’s ridiculous because they’re required courses and there’s only two sections offered. (Looking at you ELEC 2507). Every option the timetable assistant has given me has full labs/lectures. What am I meant to do? I can’t put in an override request because it says they’ll be cancelled anyway. Am I stuck in limbo waiting for a spot?

I haven’t heard of a single other person, online or in person, going into this program this year. I’m coming into SREE B this fall, anyone else?

I'm hoping to continue practicing piano while studying during uni. The dorms are too small for a digital piano so i was wondering if carleton has any music studios i could book for weekly sessions. Help appreciated, thanks!

Umm I’m in the middle of submitting my photo for my campus card and the preview card stretches out the photo horribly.
Is it only like that online or does our actual card look like that?

Incoming NPSIA Students, PLEASEE email graduate studies about the tuition increases. They changed it for MPPA students because they emailed enough times. Tuition was raised from 8.6k as promised to almost $14k. Please make sure to use your voices and email graduate studies so we can try and get this fixed ASAP

hey yall. the past 3 months have been hard and it completely slipped my mind to apply for osap. is it still worth it? i get 1k in grants, and my first term tuition is 1k due to scholarships. should i still apply to use it for 2nd term? also, when do we pay for rez?

Hi I just graduated high school and I am taking a gap year as I did not get into my dream program which is dental hygiene at alquinon. Because of this know I don't know if i should try again for that program and if I don't get in take accounting at alquinon.

However I worrie that if i take college accounting I will not land a good job or that its a waste of time as If I were to take college accounting I would try and get my cpa after.

So now I'm wondering if I should just go for uni accounting at Carleton or Ottawa u.

So to anyone who has taken accounting here why did they choose this program? Is this program hard? And to anyone who has graduated from this program what jobs did you get from it and how was ur cpa journey?

Humanity students. What are the things you like best about the program?

I'm going into second year and planning on applying to TA in the CS and Math departments, to have a better chance at landing a position. Although, I think I may have a better chance at landing one in CS (and I would probably be more interested in it) since my prof reached out to me earlier. However, I'm concerned if I somehow got offers from both departments, would it be bad to reject one and accept the other?

I'm a new grad student looking to get involved in some athletics in the fall. Online, there are two types of leagues - Intermural Leagues and Adult Leagues. The only apparent difference is that intermurals are limited to Carleton personnel. Any insights?

I submitted an assignment for my summer course last Friday, using the assignment template that was attached to the assignment's submission page in Brightspace. I had downloaded this template ~3 weeks ago (on June 24 as per the document's date in my computer's downloads folder) and just kept working on it on-and-off over that period.

Today I got an email from the instructor telling me that I used the wrong template, and to revise my assignment using a new template that she attached to her email. I went to look at the Brightspace assignment page and I do see that the template she sent to me was the one that is now on Brightspace. After looking everywhere on the Brightspace page (including the announcement pages) I cannot locate the original template that I used, but I also don't see any announcement that she changed the template we were supposed to use.

While she has given me a few days to revise without grade penalties - and to be honest I doubt it will take me long to "fix" my assignment - to make sure I didn't just conjure this template from the ether I was wondering if there's a way for me as a student user to view the changelog or old versions of Brightspace pages? I want to see if/when she changed the template on the page.
