Canyon sold it as "movistar blue", but now I can't unsee it. It does have a SRAM groupset though!

First Canyon and absolutely in love with the color!

Oh and no worries - the saddle bag is laying on the bricks, not the bike itself. 😄

Which Bike? Advice needed for Aeroad CF SLX 7 options

Hi guys,

I need your help/opinion on the configuration of Aeroad CF SLX 7. I've never owned such a road bike before, so I need your advice/thoughts on the following:

  1. Groupset: SRAM Rival AXS vs Shimano 105 Di2. What would you choose and why?

  2. Color: Torn between Metallic Acid vs Aokaze (see 2nd pic). This is a personal choice of course, but I'm wondering how you feel about it? And experience with paint quality?

  3. Size: 2xs vs xs (I'm 165cm with 75.5cm inner leg length). The 2XS felt comfortable on the hoods but had a twitchy feel when riding. The XS was stable but felt like I had to reach for the hoods a little bit.
P.S. The saddle was set according to the Canyon website recommendation.

1st Picture: is from the two bikes I tried. XS(gray) and 2XS(white).

Thank you!

Tech Help Converting a Canyon Grizl AL 6 to a 10/52 Cassette

Post image
2 Upvotes

I recently purchase a new Canyon Girlz AL 6 (updated model 2027) with a 1X and I am interested in upgrading the cassette to a 10-52 for backpacking and steep climbs in my area. I have been unable to confirm the exact components that will work with my existing hub and SRAM Apex 12s shifter. I believe all I need to make this happen is a SRAM Apex Eagle RD-APX-152-D1 rear derailleur, SRAM XG 1275 10-52 cassette and a compatible chain. I could not confirm if this will work with the current hub. Can anyone confirm if these components will work or has anyone completed a 10-52 swap on the new AL 6 and can provide some insight?

Wanted to Buy Looking for the Canyon rear flashlight in Germany

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello,
i am looking for the Canyon rear flash light (in germany you can just order the one with steady light mode). Maybe one of you has one lying around or doesn't need it anymore and would be willing to sell it to me. Alternatively, does anyone know good and reasonably priced package forwarding services for France, Belgium, Luxembourg (to germany), or for other neighboring countries that sell the Flash rear light.

(I am not looking for the standard version that you can order in the German Canyon online shop.)
Best regards

Installed 30mm tires and it rides just WOW!

Happy riding everybody:)

Tech Help Ultimate CF 7 cockpit change

Hello r/CanyonBikes

I’ve recently bought my Canyon Ultimate CF 7 which has the CP0030 Aerocockpit

It’s my first road bike so I wanted to see how I’d adapt to it and I love it. Only problem is that I’ve been doing triathlons and I’d love to put aero bars on it, but they’re not compatible.

Is it possible to change the cockpit so it becomes compatible with Canyon aerobars? Would really appreciate some guidance

Which Gear? New Endurace CF SLX AXS question

I understand that the down tube frame storage bag is not included. Which I think is a bad product decision. However, I’m not gonna not buy the bike based on this. So if I’m buying the frame storage bag from Canyon site, which one is it? It’s not exactly clear which frame storage bag will fit. There’s the load trail or the load gravel versions. Which one is it?

Fitting Help Please help me choose a right size? 186/89

The bike I want is Endurace Allroad. I'm right at the beginning of L according to Canyon's size guide. However, I read some comments suggesting to size down. My L is on the way and I'm curious to hear your opinion whether or not I should replace it with an M. Thanks.

Tech Help “Hard” shifting

Hi, I had a flat tire yesterday and replaced my rear wheel today. I did a test ride and feel like my di2 shifters are shifting “harder” and make a noise when I shift. Almost as if I would put too much pressure when pedalling and shifting but I’m just cycling lightly. Did I do anything wrong while putting my wheel back? Everything looked the same and normal with previous pictures of my bike.

Tech Help Front derailleur adjustment on Shimano Cues (Endurance Allroad)

Finally bought this beast (had a €100 city bike before). When on the large chainring and smallest sprocket on the cassette, the chain slightly rubs the front derailleur cage on the right side. I tried the barrel adjuster but couldn't find the H limit screw to move the cage slightly outward. Anyone know where it's located on the Shimano CUES FD-U6000? Appreciate any tips!

Edit: HEY EVERYONE, thank you so much for your help. I really couldn't imagine that they could be located in such a place.

Just tested it for the first time - it's a beast (my first road bike)!

Tech Help SRAM Red E1 chain catcher?

Hey guys,

I just ordered my first sram e1 Aeroad bike and I wonder if an aftermarket chain catcher is a good thing to install. Chat tells me SRAM E1 already has a built in catcher for the front derailleur.

What is your experience with drops on this groupset?

Thanks

Customer Experience Canyon delivery: bike box busted?

Thumbnail

Hi all,

Just got my first ever Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 8 delivered by UPS and the box it came in looks... questionable.

It is a bit beaten up which can happen, but it also looks like it had been torn open and taped up again. At the top it misses one of those black plastic locks, and even in the inside there is a tear in the carton.

Sketchy or not? How do the deliveries usually look like?

Thanks!

EDIT: thanks for the reassuring words! I've had the same thought, just wanted to make sure it is a universal experience. Still very excited, happy riding to all!
