We have to check in at Seville airport at 9am on Friday. Will be waking up in Cadiz old town that morning.

We’d probably take the train if we didn’t have such an early start. But considering a taxi instead. Local taxi quoted €250 for the one way journey to Seville airport. Seems very expensive…??

Not considering uber as we had two experiences with uber drivers in Seville who accepted the job then cancelled at the last minute. As this is a ride to the airport we want to be sure we’ll get there in time and leaving so early, we can’t leave it to chance.

Any advice appreciated 🙏 especially what a reasonable rate might be or any recommendations re taxi or other transport to airport.

Voy a estar cercado de playa la victoria y quiero poder seguir con mis ejercicios. Busco un sitio o con césped o un suelo como de parque de niños para poder hacer flexiones o abdominales. Es un plus extra si me dirigen a una barra para dominadas.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Cadiz next June. I'm debating on whether or not it would be worth renting a car. I'm planning for us to go to Jerez De la Frontera, Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, maybe a day trip to Tavira, Portugal, and some of the other white villages and Sherry towns. Is there an easier mode of travel for this or is renting a car the best option?

hola hermanos gaditanos, un malaguita en cuestión va a pasar el fin de semana en vuestra tacita (a ponerme finito a atún, no creáis) y por nada del mundo quiero perderme el partido que juega nuestra selección a una hora tan propia como las 2 de la mañana. ¿Algún bareto/pub (odio el término, no puede ser más guiri) donde lo podamos ver con unos copazos como es debido y buen ambiente?

No sé si es que simplemente tengo mala memoria pero me da la sensación de que desde hace varios años a los motoristas cada vez les importan menos las normas de tráfico o su propia supervivencia. Antes, cuando iba a trabajar podía encontrarme con uno o dos anormales que eran la anécdota de la mañana, pero ahora no hay día que no sean menos de diez o doce.

Entiendo que te quieras poner el primero en un semáforo, ojalá yo también pudiese, ¿pero que el semáforo esté ya verde, el tráfico se esté ya moviendo y aún así sigas haciendo eslalon entre los carriles haciendo que los demás tengan que frenar para no llevarte por delante, o incluso saltarte la mediana de la avenida y que tenga que frenar el que viene en dirección contraria?

¿El coche que va delante tuyo frena un poco? Por supuesto que tienes derecho a usar el tamaño exacto de tu moto para cambiarte al mío sin utilizar ningún tipo de indicación.

Por no hablar de los que van a 90 por la avenida y que se cuelan por el medio de los otros coches.

Doy gracias por tener buenos reflejos, porque la verdad no me apetece perder el tiempo con el tema del seguro y teniendo que ayudar a uno de estos anormales, porque ganas de no meter un frenazo más de una vez no me faltan...

Buenas tardes me voy a mudar a Cádiz por 6 meses entre septiembre y febrero. Estoy encanta mis 30s y tendré trabajo entre 9-5 todos los días. Tienen algunos consejos o algo que debería saber antes? Me encanta la ciudad y que hay la playa frente la puerta, la comida obvio.

Hello ! We're visiting Cadiz again after a few years and while strolling down Calle de Honduras we saw the top of a tower barely visible under the ocean's water. It was just a dozen meters away from the fortifications so we wondered whatever that could be. Anyone here has any idea what is it / when it was it destroyed ?

Any tips for a couple visiting Cadiz over about 3-4 days this summer please? What are must see, must eat things and must drink things and should we plan a day trip or will there be enough to do?

I’ll be in Cádiz next week and already have a couple of things booked in the Old Town, so I was hoping to get a bit of local advice before I go.

First off, has anyone been to Calachica beach club? I'm curious what locals think of it, is it actually worth going, what’s the vibe like, and is it somewhere people from Cádiz go too, or is it more of a tourist thing?

Also, I’m looking for a place in the center of the Old Town where I can buy cigars. They don’t have to be Cuban or anything fancy, I'm more interested in what locals actually smoke, or what people would recommend there.

And while I’m asking: are there any good hidden spots in Cádiz I should keep an eye out for while wandering around? I'm especially thinking of rooftop bars, small restaurants, or places you might just stumble across while walking, rather than the usual obvious tourist recommendations.

So basically:

Is Calachica actually good?

Where can I buy cigars in the Old Town?

What do locals usually smoke?

Any hidden rooftop bars or small restaurants worth discovering?

Buenas, somos un grupo de 7 amigos italianos de unos 25-26 años y vamos a pasar un par de noches en Cádiz a principios de agosto. ¿Qué ambiente nocturno hay por allí? ¿Qué nos recomendáis de discotecas, bares o chiringuitos en la playa?

Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I are thinking about going to vacation af Cadiz for 1 week in July. However I’m a bit hesitant about some things.

1. Is it feasible to do everything on foot? Or maybe to rent bikes? Neither of us want to drive in foreign countries and from what I hear public transportation isn’t reliable. Calling Ubers every time is simply too expensive if I’m not mistaken?

2. Is there really that much fish to eat? I really don’t like fish and for some reason all I’m finding are fish restaurants? Are there other good options too?

3. Is it a safe place? If we are going to do so much on foot can we feel safe walking home from the beach/ bar at night back to our hotel?

4. How crowded are the beaches and what are some good beaches to go to?

We are basically looking for a nice, relaxed/ not crowded and budget beach vacation. Cádiz came out as a good contender. However if you guys have different recommendations please do share!
