Hey everyone do you have some guides or tips on how to play against mech? I think I basically have a 0% winrate, its really just an auto win for them if they go mech. I can kinda stop the Goliath all in version but if they go for tanks and play it out even if I get to queens I still cant do it. Any help is appreciated.

Today I’m releasing Sagi.gg, a website for searching the BroodWar ladder and studying replays.

Sagi is built to help you find exactly the games you want - for example, replays featuring a particular build, matchup, opening, timing, response, map, or player. You can search for players, browse their games, download replays, and explore detailed game information.

Traditional replay analysis tools generally read a replay as a list of player actions, leaving much of the interpretation to guesswork, leading to bad assumptions and incomplete data. Sagi instead simulates the replay through the game engine. This reconstructs what actually happened in the game, providing a much clearer picture of build orders, unit production, resource usage, engagements, fights, timings, and responses.

The site also includes:

• Searches for specific builds and responses
• Peer comparisons
• A wall editor with automatically detected gaps. Not another website of walls that eventually gets abandoned by the creator - these are created and maintained by all users.
• A scratch pad for planning and testing ideas solo or with your friends.
• Map information, including buildable terrain and simulated rush distances.
• In depth build order editor. Publish build guides or compare played games against your build.

All features are free to use. However, due to server and processing costs for something of this nature, deep replay analysis is currently limited to 10 free games per user per month. All income goes directly toward funding the analysis infrastructure, increasing free analysis limits, and making more replay information available to everyone. All analyses are stored forever and aggregated into the database of knowledge for statistics and build order comparisons. It's my ultimate goal that we end up with enough monthly donations to open this up to unlimited for all players.

I will be putting thousands of replays each month through analysis (prioritising S/A ranks) into the database to aggregate more stats and data for all to utilise.

Roadmap

• Sagi app: A free companion app with improved 16:9 widescreen support for the original graphics, additional rendering options, and a replay viewer with many of the website’s analysis features.
• More maps: Automatic analysis for the maps most commonly played, including rush distances, buildable terrain, and map-scoring data. User map uploads are also planned.
• Cheater detection: Replay-based analysis to help confidently identify erroneous ladder behavior, including dropping and potential hacking.
• Community tools: Tournament and league support for organized communities, with detailed analysis and player-comparison features.

Special thanks to everyone who helped me test this and Seventhnadir in particular for letting me bounce some of these ideas off him and giving me quite a few of his own.

This custom map for six players was a fusion of RPG, Hero Arena, and AOS genres. It was divided into two factions: Humans (the good guys) and Undead (the bad guys), and the playable hero was determined by your player slot. For example, the first player (Red) played as the Dragon Mage, the second player (Blue) as the Fighter, and the sixth player (Teal) as the Crypt Lord.

Heroes from each faction could level up, unlock new skills, and purchase items by hunting mobs. Naturally, whenever the Human and Undead heroes crossed paths, a fight broke out! I don't recall the exact victory condition, but I do remember that respawning was possible.

Been working on trying to solve this problem for weeks now and finally managed to do it.

• The draft deadline is the day before the ASL 22 Season Open Day 2 tournament. That means everyone should draft the winner of ASL 22 Season Open Day 1 (if they are paying attention!). Sorry, the dates snuck up on me.

TL;DR - players use watch replay button a lot after the game has ended and now they can enable an overlay to show lots of statistics such as income, army value, unit counts, idle workers, fight recap etc.

How does the meta shift if players are unable to execute high APM strategies? I would imagine that many matchups degenerate into very different looking games. What specific strategies become mainstream?

I sometimes wonder what my old Brood War friends are up to. In particular, Shinichi, who I used to play Diplomacy with in the early 2000s.

Occasionally, I'll search to see if I can find or recognize anyone I used to play with but that hasn't been very successful. I tried creating something like a website version of r/longlostgamers at llgamers.com . You can add your gamertags and search for lost friends. If they exist, you can connect. If they don't, you can add them to your watchlist and get notified if they join.

Hello dear community, I hope you are all having a blast

Old StarCraft 1 player here. I am a 40 years dude now, and I am trying to have a nice start into StarCraft 2.

I installed the game, play a game... and even if there was many familiar faces (scv´s, dones, probes, marines, zealots, zerlings, etc...), there was some new things that makes me want to put a pause, and want to lear a little bit about StarCraft 2 differences and changes from StarCraft 1.

Can you kindly recommend:

1. An existing learning material (video, post, blog, etc) that can help an old StarCraft 1 player to quickly get the changes and differences on StarCraft 2?

2. An existing learning material (video, post, blog, etc) about the differences in Terran?

In case that you want or prefer to share your direct experience, feel free to do it. (I asked for an existing material, so you don´t need to take time to write here, but, if you feel like... I would truly appreciate it as well).

Hey 👋 I'm happy to share a tool I've been quietly working on for some time now. Sorry I'm 25 years late for contributing.

screpdb is a BWChart-style tool (replay-based reporting on your local computer), but with a heavy focus on semantic reporting.

It's complementary to existing tools like RepMastered and vespene.gg; each do different things. In fact Dakota_Fanning has been very helpful with knowledge transfer, and the tool is based on screp which is his project as well.
