Mine was patatje oorlog (war fries in Dutch), a local street food recipe I got from a Dutch friend here on Reddit. It's basically fries with peanut sauce, mayonnaise, and chopped raw onions. If he saw this, I wanna say dankjewel, Marco! Dit is echt lekker ❤️

Also, sorry for the soulless, unappetizing-looking potatoes, but I really like the taste! I would cook this again whenever I have potatoes!

My coworker seems to be on board with cooking international foods here.

She said it was inarizushi (tofu skin sushi), kimchi, edamame, weird-looking tasty quesadillas, and creamy chicken soup.

Due to our workplace regulation, we cannot eat in the classroom anymore.

We sometimes exchange food and side dishes, too. Mine is not as fancy as hers.

I've been using plastic lunch containers forever and tbh I'm kinda over it. They stain, hold smells and some of the lids never seem to last. So I've been looking for a stainless steel lunchbox that can actually survive daily work lunches without feeling like a brick in my backpack. I came across Ecozoi while comparing a few options and it got me wondering if it's actually worth the hype or if there are better ones out there.

I mostly pack rice, curry, sandwiches sometimes leftovers so leak resistance matters a lot. Bonus points if it's easy to clean because idk why some steel containers seem to trap food around the edges lol.

So what's the best stainless steel lunchbox you've ever owned? Not just the newest one but the one that made you stop shopping for another. What brand held up the longest and what made it stand out? Would love to hear the good and the bad before I spend money again.

Still no money for fresh veggies. most of this is from food pantries except the dark chocolate and Chipotle sauce. Mostly just stuff I already had and threw together.

I call the ricey mixture "amalgam" its kinda like a cross between hamburger mac, rice a roni and something your mom would make you after saying you have " taco bell at home"

the amalgam consists of veggie rice, canned veggie mix, beef from a pouch, seasoning pack for making chilli, cheese powder, macaroni pasta, with Chipotle sauce and cheddar cheese mixed in.

The container was given to me. ill buy something better when I have money

Heyy! This lunch box is for me. Im a young adult and I work in a factory and im on a tight budget. So far I have grain, protein, fruits, veggie, and dairy plus some churro offbrand oreos from dollar tree as a dessert.

Suggestions for other cheap, easy bento box meals are very appreciated! Im most worried about price and getting the food groups covered currently.

Hey all don’t know why this is sooo hard to find but maybe this awesome group can help. I eat the same thing on the days I go to the office and am looking for the right bento box. I want 2 compartments one that can fit a regular sliced bread sandwich and the other for sliced fruit. I don’t want more small compartments. I also don’t want to mess with a movable divider because most of my fruit is cut juicy fruit like pineapple so I don’t want it to leak over and make my sandwich soggy. Any ideas?

Trying to vary it as much as possible, but it's difficult.
