Looking for info Recommend a transport company?

I tried looking for a transport company a year ago but got overwhelmed with the amount of pure spam. Made the mistake of putting my phone number in. Anyone who is trying to sell me something in DM will be blocked.

I'm looking to transport a Lexus suv from South Jersey to the greater Nashville area (where I am). The car runs but may need a battery. I don't care if it's covered transport or not, as it's been sitting outside anyway.

Just looking for a no BS, non spammy, straight forward company that other people have used successfully.

Looking for info Washington State to Massachusetts

Hey all. I’m sorry as I’m sure this has been asked many times but I haven’t found someone with the same departing state as me yet.

I am moving from Washington State to Massachusetts and looking for a reliable company. Has anyone done a trip similar to mine? What company and how did it go? Cost and shipping time? Thank you

Looking for info Can regular people actually hire car carriers, or is that a dealership-only thing?

Was driving on I-95 earlier and got stuck behind one of those huge car carriers loaded with like 8 or 9 brand new Teslas, all wrapped in plastic. Got me wondering who actually organizes all of that. Do the car brands own the trucks themselves or just contract it out? And has a car ever actually fallen off one of these things?

Turns out regular people can use the same carriers to ship their own vehicles, which I had no idea about. I always assumed this was strictly a dealership or manufacturer thing.

Looking for info No cargo insurance?

I used a broker recommended on here who put me in touch with a carrier whose FMCSA page shows $1 million in BIPD insurance and $0 on file for cargo or bond.

Is the car cargo? Does this mean that if they damage my car, it isn’t covered? Should I run? Will my Comprehensive cover it?

Quote Request Using AI to PROTECT FROM GETTING RIPPED OFF!

... AI can do the search for you. Even simple ones like GoogleAI.

I'll give the first prompt and you all can take it from there...

PROMPT: Act as if you are a seasoned auto shipper and search for the top Auto Transport companies, including brokers and direct transporters.

I want only those with little or no deposits and are reputalble with "no-change" options and provide all-inclusive quotes with no hidden fuel surchares.

Source the best with regard to reasonable pricing, customer reviews, and no claims of bait and switch pricing. I want only those with multiple reviews, DOT number, FMSCA and are bonded & Licensed.

Include their phone numbers, email addresses for quotes and website.

I'm looking for the most economical with the best service.

They will then give you some results and ask you questions.
If you include your vehicle year, make and model along with the pick up zip and the drop off zip, they'll even give you an idea on pricing and create an email for you as well.

This is a good head start for you and should cut out hours of wasted time searching.
I hope it helps!

Please feel welcome to reply any helpful information or success stories, in order to help others in the community.

May your Shipping Results be Forever in Your Favor!

...and bring you one big upvote of releif!

WHY DO AUTO TRANSPORT CONSUMERS GET SCAMMED????

Over 75% of consumers "do not" read reviews!!!!

Over 90% of consumers "do not" read contracts (terms & conditions)!!!

This leads to terrible experiences with auto transport!!!

This can all be avoided by following my easy three (3) step guide!!!

Please call, text, or email me directly for pricing. I am the sole Reddit representative for our firm.

I do not receive price requests from our website which go directly to the sales force.

James Ryan - Number 1 Auto Transport.

Help! Car shipping

Is every car shipping company a scam? I go online and post, and then get like 20 messages from different brokers all saying it costs around $900 door to door.

I knowwwwwww it’s a bait and switch, but every company I look online says they’re terrible and charged 3X the amount and went Mia

I doubt every company is the worse of the worst because cars still get shipped, so what do I do when it comes to finding a shipping company?

I’m shipping from Maryland to California

other awful situation.

Good Review 10/10 Review for Goliath

My wife and I located her late father’s ‘79 Corvette in Houston, TX and were unsure of how to go about getting it transported to Northeast Ohio. This sub had an immense amount of solid advice, so I would like to say thank you all for creating this space.

Goliath was a name, among many, with pretty positive reviews and as soon as we reached out, we felt like we were in good hands from the jump. We spoke to the owner Josh several times to make sure we had all the correct information and he answered every question with patience and honesty. We were notified 3 days in advance on the scheduled pick up time which left us plenty of time to book flights and a hotel. This was a private sale, so it took some coordination that wouldn’t have been possible without the constant communication with Goliath.

Vasyl, our driver, was also excellent to work with. He was extremely helpful and understanding about the lack of muscle available and we were able to load the car together, despite it not running. He dropped the car of mere hours after we landed back in Ohio. Total turnaround time was 10am CST on Monday to just now at 10pm EST Tuesday. Extremely professional and friendly.

After hearing all of the horror stories of scams and poor service, I can confidently say that Goliath stands tall surpassing their already solid reputation.

Thank you Josh and the Goliath team for making this painless and straightforward.

TL;DR Goliath is 10/10. If I ever need to transport a vehicle again, I won’t think twice about using them again.

Help! Minimum fuel questions

I purchased a car at a copart lot out of state. The photos show the tank is below empty. As standard, the shipper is requiring a quarter tank for load unload etc. The lot is refusing to add any gas. I asked the broker to give the carrier a heads up and offered to pay for additional gas. Just wondering what I should expect in this situation.

Looking to arrive on Thursday August 6, trying to get either some quotes from individuals or a point in the direction of some trusted companies. I signed up on one broker website and have been bombarded with calls and texts since then even after asking them to stop so I’m not gonna use any of them
