Morning all! Mainly a fan of the USL’s Sporting KC slaying Colorado Springs Switchbacks, and closeted Galaxy fan coming to the game tonight.. mainly because I hate the sounders as much as I do Chivas LAFC.
Here for work from COS, and a few of us are heading into the supporters section tonight.
Anything must see/do/eat in the stadium?
Anyone gonna have issue with us in the supporters section?
Anything else to know?
Also screw this heat.

I see the latest southbound train from Lakeline is 5:47, but northbound trains run as normal on gamedays.
Does this seem right? Not super stoked on getting there 2 and a half hours before kickoff and baking. Doesn't help I'm broke as fuck so can't even have a beer while we wait.
Any insight is appreciated, see yall there!

So fired up for Stuuuuuuuu bobblehead night. With the game time moving later we are balancing how early we get there with how long our kiddo can be with a sitter. Do y'all think we need to be there right at 7 when the doors open to be in the first 10k or would 7:30/7:45 be early enough? I'm clearly over thinking this but that's what happens when you have no Austin FC for two months.

Wrote up Monday's media availability, with thoughts from Davy Arnaud and Przemysław Płacheta:

With it expected to be 99 at kick off currently I’m guessing the game gets pushed back to 8:00/8:30 or postponed. But does anyone remember when the league usually makes that call? Is it usually 24hrs before?
Mentally preparing for the hellish temps (also the excuse ill tell myself when the inevitable let down occurs.)

I went to see grown men exercise yesterday:
https://verdeallday.com/jorge-alastuey-belongs-austin-fc-open-practice-july-18-2026/
Based on what I saw, thinking that spending a supplemental + international spot on Alastuey to see what he can do the rest of the season isn't so crazy. Anyone else out there attend yesterday? Anyone else out there agree?

So many unknowns.
Who will play? What style? Who is fit? Who is in form? What will the change in coaching bring? What will the spirit of the team be? Will Rodos final player acquisition pan out?
Expectations are set low, so I'm eager to see it all play out but genuinely don't know what to expect.

I'm a season ticket holder (first year) and RSVP'd for the open practice tomorrow, but I never received a ticket or confirmation. Tried calling and emailing member support this week, but my rep left last month so it just went to the general number/email. Anyone else going and know the procedure?

I am curious to see what folks think might happen with the combination of global schedule alignment and a new coach in terms of players that come. I have no illusions that we will ever outbid the top 5 markets for a true sensation like Salah.
However, it seems that this schedule change would give us a small leg up for Equatorial talent that just plain does not prefer to play cold soccer. Combine that with a coach that is well known for wanting players with a high work rate, and two way attitude, and it seems we might be able to get some of the "right" guys, if not necessarily the "best" guys.
As well, we do seem to be a small / mid market team with management willing to spend upper mid market money. If we can do half as well at Sporting Director as we did at Manager, things could get really good again...

Anyone going to the Colorado game? I understand the away supporters sections are 134 & 135?

I am not ready to come back to non-stop L’s. I cant go from experiencing MLS level play to World Cup level play and just go back to MLS. Unfortunately, I may call it quits for this season here. Just wondering if anybody else feels the same
Edit: Have to add this because it seems there is some confusion. I’m talking about giving up on the rest of the season, not stop being an Austin FC fan. The reality is, that living in SATX and driving to ATX, buying overpriced tickets just to watch the boys get reamed from things they shouldn’t be reamed from is just not appealing. And that goes for a majority of the other clubs too. Only a few are actually engaging to watch. Regardless of how beautiful the stadium is, just not worth it IMO. Also! To the “shut up and go support no matter what” crowd. Fuck you. I’ll vote with my dollars and viewership.

Sorry if this sounds delulu but why can’t we land a program changing player like him. We might not be the biggest market but our home attendance records speak for themselves, I would also assume money resources are abundant here. Is there a reason why Austin Fc has never targeted a player of his ilk? Again forgive me for being delusional, he’s one of my favorite players and would love to see him play for my city.

We seem to be accumulating a lot of GAM. Dare we hope for a big signing in the summer window?

Hi everyone! For my Substack, I reflected on Dani Pereira's time with Austin FC after his move to CF Montreal last week.

Hey everyone!
I’m a huge Argentina fan and I’m looking for other supporters who’d like to watch the World Cup quarterfinal together this Saturday. I think it would be much more fun to enjoy the match with fellow Argentina fans, great energy, and plenty of chants
I’m in Austin and I’m open to meeting at a sports bar or anywhere with a good atmosphere. If there’s already a group or watch party, I’d love to join. If not, maybe we can get a few people together and make it happen.
If you’re interested, leave a comment or send me a DM.
